Food is pretty decent. Horrible service though. The servers walked around calling names, and it took over 30 fucking minutes to even get my food. Typically, I give restaurants the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple visits to this place throughout the last couple of years, I can say the service of this location is absolutely terrible. They have gotten our orders wrong, typically through omission. This ranging from wrong items to missing burgers. We've had to wait at this location for too long, typically between 30 minutes to an hour on multiple visits. When times are busy in the kitchen, I can't say it's pleasant seeing the manager not assist in any way when orders are backed in the hundreds according to them. The food is good obviously, it's Whataburger. But if you are on any sort of time crunch or plan to get food before something, I do not recommend taking the risk. read more

WOW I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. As I get home to eat my #4 jalapeño whataburger meal, THIS BLACK BEETLE-LIKE INSECT crawls OUT OF MY BURGER, to which it makes me drop the entire thing on the wrapper as I stare at it in complete shock. The reason why I knew it came out of my burger is because I had unwrapped it in the car to bite it, then I proceeded to wrap it back up and I placed it back in the bag. When I got home and dropped the burger, the bug DID NOT scurry away in fear. It went right to the burger and started to eat the food. It did NOT wave its antenna to inspect, it started eating away as if the burger was familiar to it. I am in complete and utter disgust and I cannot believe this happened to me. Very upset and annoyed today. I try to understand everything, especially working in the food industry.. but the other day during lunch rush, I don't know how my chicken sandwich was not warm at all. I told them, waited over 20 minutes to receive some kind of cheeseburger instead, then had to go back inside and replace it and wait for a chicken sandwich while I rush back to school for being late. Sounded like the worker was upset in there with the guy behind the counter asking for the sandwich but maybe you should respond to the people who didn't get their order right instead of worrying about your drive thru or the later orders on the screen. Today there were two cars in the drive thru so I went there and ordered a chicken sandwich with mayo add jalapeños, the baby inside me has been craving it bad! No jalapeños and there was no mayo like on the ticket, there was some other sauce that is not sitting well with me now, not to mention, my fries were a bunch of small little crunchy pieces that were really hard to enjoy spicy ketchup. I could not be late again so I just ate what I had.. wishing I would of just got a refund. I'd never had Whataburger since they don't have them around the KC area, so I decided to create a little I-35 Burger Challenge that would spotlight places we don't have around my hometown. On the list was Whataburger, In-N-Out, and Braum's, if we felt like stopping at any of them. We found a Whataburger off the highway in Norman and I have to say, I didn't care for it. The burger was average at best. It looked like a prop burger in a movie. Super generic, nothing special about it at all. It was super wide, heavy on the onions and whitish tomatoes, and super forgettable. Fries tasted like those fries out of a bag that you'd make at home -- dry and not great which is tough because almost all fries are usually good, right? While the food was a miss, I will say I overheard one of the managers going around and she was great. She was very friendly and accommodating to everyone, and seemed to be loving her work. Definitely not my kind of place. I'd recommend hitting up Freddy's across the street for a delicious, classic burger. read more

I'm at this Whataburger at least once a week with it being the closest one to me here in norman and every time I come them mess up my order more than the last and I'm so sick of it! We stop at this location often on our way between Texas and Kansas. It's always been ok in the past...granted, over the past year+, visits were always through the drive through window, and we ate in the car. This time, we went inside, and that was apparently a mistake. We ordered at the counter, and as we were finishing up, the guy behind the counter said that he "prays it's not a long time before our food comes out." Wait. What? So, I don't mean to be a pessimist, but if the worker is going to tell you that, I'd just assume they do so BEFORE we order and pay, not after. Hey, you're welcome to eat here, but don't expect your food anytime soon. Great, thanks for telling me. Let's go to Arby's next door or Chick-Fil-A across the street. Unfortunately, no opportunity to do it now without having him void the order. I asked him if service has been slow, to which he agrees it has, that they're shorthanded, and one of the workers making food will be leaving soon. Looking behind him, I saw three employees, one of them doing some type of dance, and the other two looking on in wonder rather than doing any work. As we got to our seats, we saw two other parties waiting for their food. Time then started to slip by as more and more people came in to order. Before too long, I counted seven tables all waiting. Around 20 mins later, the first order comes out. Then a few mins later, the group in front of us gets their food. We continue to wait, and at the 30-min mark, I go up to the counter, and after waiting for the guy to finish his non-order-related conversation with someone else, I ask about our order. Miraculously, they're finishing it up. Hooray! It wasn't the best Whataburger ever, but the wait and overall service made it fairly despicable. I've been going to this location since it opened. A few things remain very consistent: 1. it's going to take 15-20 minutes to get your order 2. your burger is going to be cold/the bun stale or not fresh 3. you won't receive any napkins in your bag. I swear to myself that I won't go back and I don't for a few months and then give it another try. Something happened last October or so where there was no line, my burger was warm but no napkins. That lasted one or two visits then it was back to 'normal'. I don't understand if it's the work lineup, the system or lack of workers but this location needs new management. read more

We usually love this whataburger and come here a lot because we work nights nearby. We went through the drive through like usual and ordered. Once we finished ordering we realized we forgot an item so we asked to add it on. The woman told us the order had already processed, so we said no problem, we can just do a separate order. She refused to take our order and said we had to go back around the drive through after we picked up the first order. I know that this isn't a policy because I have done 2 orders before at this location. I explained there was no one behind us in line, so driving around in a circle was pointless. She didn't answer so we backed up and drove forward again. She didn't come back on the intercom again for a few minutes until another car pulled in behind us. I'm not from Oklahoma. So whataburger is new to me. I have only been to this particular location twice. The first time through the drive thru, second time we ate inside. First time I ordered a jalepano cheese burger, it was actually pretty good. The fries where salty, which for me, is a plus! The drive thru was extremely fast. This was at least six months ago. This particular day, my fiancé, and two year old, where making a aldi trip, so decided to dine in to eat before we went about our shopping. The inside of the restaurant is extremely clean, and the employees where friendly. I need glasses, (haha) so I couldn't really read the menu board. So left it to my fiancé to pick something for me. He got a burger, my son got chicken strips, I got a buffalo chicken ranch sandwich. Let me just say, don't try it. It was drowned in bbq sauce and ranch. I actually had to wipe some off in a napkin to be tolerable. The sandwich had several chicken strips on it. Chicken strips on sandwiches are weird. My fries where good too, but was put off by the ranch and bbq flavors. Chicken with your sauce, anyone?? Kids meal options are pretty typical. Burger, chicken, grilled cheese. Comes with a cookie. The fountain drink area was cleaned and well stocked. When they ask you if you need ketchup or whatever, take them up on it. Because again, they are a weird returaunt where no condiments are set out, but rather behind the counter. I would probally come back. That's why I gave it three stars instead of two. Ordered my lunch at this Whataburger yesterday at the drive through - a burger double meat with cheese and a large chocolate shake. Got the shake first and it felt a little light so I lifted the lid and it was MAYBE 3 quarters full. When the window opened again to give me the burger, I told the server - 'I ordered a large chocolate shake, not a medium shake in a large cup!" The reply was - 'Oh, I 'm sorry" but no effort to offer to replace it or to fill it up - the latter which I would have refused anyway. Issue 1: I know my Potato and cheese taquitos - they should have two hashbrown sticks per 'quito. As evidenced by the picture below, I was denied my full tater allotment. And yes, I checked under the eggs. issue 2: As i order and say, "I want chunky salsa," my presumption is that you have said salsa. Let me unpack this, cuz I need to vent about this place. Gurls last time I came here I ordered a simple Two Patty Whataburger with just ketchup. no pickles, no cheese, no nothing, just ketchup. and what did I get?? not only did my food get placed under a desk, and they proceed to forget that my food was placed there, so now I'm waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes. When I return back to my household, I then learned that they messed up the burger somehow. Instead of putting just ketchup, they put everything except ketchup. Infact they subbed the ketchup for something else. Now I'm heated. I then drive back up to Whataburger to tell them they messed up my burger. Of course they fix it, but by then my fries were cold. And now we're here. I just left Whataburger after giving it another chance. instead of challenging them with a burger. I thought of an easier test for them. On a normal day it takes almost 20 minutes to go through the drive though, regardless if you order online or at the speaker box. I have never been to Whataburger before. My friends were speaking very highly of this burger establishment as we walked through the door. I took an unpredictable route and got their patty melt with a strawberry milkshake. It's was absolutely scrumptious! The food was amazing and the patty melt was even better as I dipped it into their signature spicy ketchup. On the other hand, the staff was not doing the best. I don't know if there was something wrong with their system but they were getting everyone's orders wrong.
