The volume on the speaker was so low, i couldn't hear, so I drove to the window to place my order instead. Six months ago my order was wrong... nothing has changed. Wrong again. This branch is poorly managed. I don't like giving one star, especially since food service jobs are hard work, but good grief, get your act together! I have no idea what kind of business this location is trying to run but it isn't pleasant or professions, that's for sure!! I went through the drive thru, placed my order, and was told to go to the 2nd lane. Sat there for 20-30 mins and was NEVER checked on, even though I made eye contact with the person running the drive thru... obviously there was a mix up.. at least come and check on the customer you see waiting. So, I call the location and let them know the person running the drive thru instructed me incorrectly and I drove off because I had waited so long, and that because of that mix up their food line was probably screwed up. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and told me she was sorry I didn't properly follow instructions.. EXCUSE ME?! Went through the drive through today and it took 45 minutes to get my food after I ordered. You would think the food would be extremely fresh since it took so long. We had a bacon cheese burger and a sweet and spicy burger and fries. All of the food was cold, my sweet and spicy seemed overcooked/dry and yet the cheese was cold. Came here while my nephew was in town and he'd never had Whataburger. I tried the chicken sandwich and really liked it. The chicken patty was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. This is strictly for customer service. I went there this morning and when I walked in there was a person getting his order taken and one couple in front of me. After the couple in front of me said they were picking up a mobile order the guy at the register went to look for it. No biggie. This Whataburger is excellent. It's always clean on the outside (I'll confess, I've never been inside), and my order is always taken by friendly folks and filled the same way, I've probably had breakfast more than any other meal, and the items are always fresh and well made. Just today, I had a sausage breakfast-on-a-bun, and the sausage was tender yet well cooked, and the fried egg had just the right amount of "tooth". My only complaint on the BOBs is that the bun is a little too substantial; I wish it were a little thinner. As for lunch/dinner, I've had the A-1 Thick and Hearty burger here when it was "in season", and it was great. Just the right amount of A-1 sauce, and meaty and cheesy. They have a functional NFC reader at the drive-thru that I can use the Google Wallet feature of my cellphone with, and it not only make payment convenient, it amuses and fascinates the employees. It's a win-win! Finally, it's super, super easy to get in and out of if you're going south on the Sam Rayburn Tollway service road; no crazy U-turns or lights or stop signs. Walked in to the lobby and no one was out front. Manager was working the line and I counted 7 other employees in kitchen. I waited for 20 minutes before anyone came to the front to take my order. There was quite a line behind me at that point. The mgr saw me multiple times but ignored me. Finally he acted like he was surprised I was there and yelled at an employee to get up front and take orders. After my order was taken I waited an additional 30 minutes to get my small order. While I waited the manager yelled at all the employees about an order that left without paying. He yelled at these kids instead of explaining how to do things better. Very poorly run. The drive thru was not backed up either. So no reason for the 50 total minutes to get my order. The kid that brought my order just brought the burger out and handed it to me without a bag...just handed me a wrapped burger. It was To-go. " I said I was from Egypt and he asked " How many camels were in your house when you lived there? " I stared at him with a shocked expression and he realized he said something wrong and he continued on saying " I've never ridden a camel and I wanted to know your experience. " I told him that just because I'm from that side of the world doesn't means I've ridden a camel when you do you can tell me all about it. after waiting in line for almost an hour at the location on ridge and eldarado and the line barley moving I left and came here instead (extremely pissed). i ordered a patty melt meal and my fries were stale and cold. my patty melt was dry and luke warm. it took a whole hour and driving back and forth just to get some damn . when i got home i was hungry (obviously) so I ate the patty melt, I wasn't about to drive back again it's a 10 min drive from my apartment. the fries were so bad and stale I didn't want to eat them. Went here today for lunch. Wonderful, quick experience. Even though the service was quick it was excellent. I pulled into the drive thru and the nice young lady waited patiently for me to make up my mind on what I wanted, I knew this was going to be a good experience. She made sure that my order was correct and even helped me decide on my order. Usually whenever I go through a drive thru my order is wrong, but not this time it was absolutely perfect.
