Whataburger is my favorite fast food burger, so I had to take advantage of the BOGO deal that expired tonight. That means that I went to Papa John's, Dominos and here in the same night. WORTH IT. Atmosphere/Ambiance - 4/5 - Typical Whataburger. I can't remember that last time I ate at a Whataburger restaurant. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly. Curbside is always a plus. Food/Drink - Ordered the following: Today, I had a deal for a BOGO whataburger, which is great when you dress it up (extra tomatoes, grilled onions, extra pickles etc). I even added extra mustard, and it hit the spot. And the fact that with the BOGO deal, the burger is about $3, you can't beat that for the size. Now I normally go for their specialty burgers, but I can discuss that at another time. Overall, this is my favorite fast food burger spot, so I will definitely be back again. read more

I can't stand this, and it's so simple, if you're making french fries make sure they're fresh. There's nothing worse than stale semi-warm fries, especially when you pay $3 for them. It doesn't matter if anything else is good, if the fries suck then the whole meals ruined. They clearly need some oversight checking their already made food, cuz these fries aren't basically stale. Straight garbage now. I haven't been in a while but when we decided to do a late night run this is what we received. The fries was cold, the so called chili cheese fries looks like it had dookie on them and no cheese. It looked and and disgusting. The patty melt was made from regular bread and this burger supposed to have texas toast. I will NEVER go back here again. Straight BS and poor management. If you going to do a job do it right especially dealing with people food. I hate to say it but McKinney food service went straight down the drain with these sorry workers and management! From the soggy fries that were only half full, to the blt having hardly any bacon, I didn't even taste it all I tasted was soggy bread and mayo. There was no wait at all since we didn't come during lunch rush or anything. It was like 3pm. It was my first time trying Whataburger in Texas. We got the jalapeno and cheese burger, bacon and cheese burger, fries, and onion rings. The burgers were nice and big, though that is to be expected if a single burger costs $7-8. I just wish there were at least some veggies in the bacon and cheese burger. It was really heavy with the fries. The fries and onion rings were alright. Nothing to rave about. read more

Bathrooms are horrendous and horrifying. Likes like a poo war zone. Service and staff is a little inconsistent, but food is consistently great... Gotta love Whataburger's. This location the inside is normally clean the only complaint I have is when going through the drive-through which is why I put this as three stars. I'm a family of five so that normally means the larger order is made about 80% of that time my orders through the drive-through are Incorrect. I am giving this a one star because I have lost my tolerance for the wait line at the drive thru. This is true of most Whataburgers too. It takes way too long to get your food. I love the product but after today I will do my best to not go unless the craving is stronger. I was asked to pull forward this am (I had two taquitos, a sausage, egg and cheese on a Jalapeño biscuit and five hash browns and a large Diet Coke. I sat out there for 15 minutes. Finally got out of the car walked into the restaurant (literally the kitchen because no one would recognize me an finally in a very loud voice I said "Where is my food?" Finally someone took care of me but enough is enough. Take a lesson from Chick-fil-a, they seem to know how to get it done. This is a great Whataburger. The people working here are super friendly and they keep it pretty clean. I get off work late at night and stop by to get some breakfast before I go home. It's a good location in the same location as Wal-Mart. Friday nights during high school football season can be very crowded with high school kids, so be warned. read more

Yes. I get it. It is a burger joint so I shouldn't expect great service but I shouldn't have to wait 20m for my 4 burgers. Ordered at 1:25 and after I saw people who ordered after me got their orders I asked where the hell was my order? Turns out they just skipped my order. The large fries didn't look like large fries so I had to ask if they have me medium fries. Whataburger is overrated and I only wasted my time here because I got a gift card. Food tasted fresh and great as always. Customer service was also good. I could tell the drive through guy was new too as he was fumbling a bit, but he was very well mannered and nice. As a matter of fact, the employees at this store have always been great. This location is at a very busy intersection so I assume they serve a fair amount of customers throughout the day. We pulled into the drive through last night around 6:00 and had a line of cars in front of us. It took longer than most fast food places to get through the line. I get it...we were there right at dinner time so we were part of the rush, but why not utilize your second drive through lane? Let me clarify by saying they don't have two lanes with speakers. They only have one speaker, but sometimes instruct cars to pull into the second lane after they've ordered. They weren't doing that at all last night, nor have they done it in my recent visits there. What gives? Maybe they realized the second lane was a safety hazard for employees? Or, maybe as my teen pointed out, they were simply short-staffed. read more

The only reason I'll give this a meal even one star is that the iced tea is good. The drive thru line was slow and confusing. The fries were .. ok. But the main item , the #1 burger was horrible. Way too much mustard slathered on. I ordered NO onion, and while there was not an onion on the burger, it tasted like onion. The burger was literally cold and covered in congealed grease. The slice of"cheese" was not melted and still literally cold. It's like they took an old burger, scraped off the iinion , dumped more mustard and slapped a slice of the cheese on the patty. Now who doesn't like Whataburger? The food is always fresh and they can custom make your burger to your liken. My only reason for 3 stars is the staff is very young and the line to get your food is extremely long for a fast food establishment.
