It is nice to have a Bojangles in the League City area. However, unlike the Bojangles east of the…read moreMississippi River, the ones that are west of the Mississippi River do not have bone-in chicken. So if you're looking for a decent fried chicken sandwich or breakfast sandwich, this is a nice change from the other major chicken sandwich chain. I recommend getting the chicken, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. This location has been open less than a week (as of today, 11.21.25) so the employees are still running slightly slow and making mistakes. But, more than likely, it will get better. Bottom line - Decent breakfast sandwiches but no bone-in chicken. 3 stars. Bon appétit, y'all.

Why, Bojangles? Why are you trying to be Cane's with your chicken strip-only menu? And why the hell…read moredid you drop the apostrophe from your name? Ugh! I can't speak on the ambiance of the dining room, because this was a to-go order. Despite that the website -- based on my location -- showed bone-in chicken as an option, the lady at the drive-thru was polite in delivering the bad news. That said... This joint was out of mashed potatoes at around 6:30 on a weeknight. These are instant potatoes. Why? The mac & cheese was OK; the slaw was better than most, because the cabbage wasn't finely sliced; and the dirty rice was somewhat flavorful but gummy. If the biscuits here are "famous," it's only because they are spongy. I made better biscuits when I was a 12-year-old on a Boy Scout campout. -- The chicken strips are fine. Nothing memorable, but served fresh on my visit. The management at this location isn't the greatest. Perhaps they were having a bad day. More importantly, the person in the corporate marketing department who decided that bone-in chicken shouldn't be an option in this neck of the woods might want to collaborate with colleagues at other chicken chains that have realized great national success AND include strips on the menu. But, if you look at the history of Bojangles, you'll see that this company has passed through more hands than a deck of cards at a poker table. Good luck enjoying the offerings here.

My wife had two quesibirria tacos, my daughter had a plain quesadilla, and my son had a torta. We also ordered a large order of rolled tacos for the table. Everyone loved their food. The salsas were all also very delicious. The highlight of our meal was Julia. She was awesome in taking our order, very partied with us, and great when she brought out our food. Only recommendation is for the tables to be cleaned off more regularly. Other than that, everything was great.

Another social media find. It was the talk of the town on the Bay Area/Clear Lake foodie pages…read morewhen it opened up. It's a west coast Mexican food spot that claims they are the creators of the California burrito, which is a burrito made with fries inside. They are also known for their large portions at a very reasonable price. It opened up earlier this year in the Kemah area. They took over what was once a Sonic drive thru. I came on a Saturday morning. I expected it to be busy but not as busy as it was. You can order through the drive thru or walk inside like I did. The space inside is super small and when I was there, it was shoulder to shoulder with people trying to order and wait for their food. There's a few tables inside as well and a salsa bar which just makes it feel very crowded. With it being that busy, I wasn't expecting great customer service, but the staff took their time to explain the menu and did it with a smile. I'm a sucker for a good breakfast burrito and that is what I got. They serve their whole menu all day and even stay open until midnight. You can get their breakfast burritos with steak, machaca, ham, bacon, sausage, chorizo or even vegetarian. I went with the Crazy burrito which came with ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes, egg and cheese. I also ordered a pineapple Agua Fresca to wash it all down with. I found a little table on their patio because I wasn't about to eat a messy burrito in the car or wait to make it home to do so. As expected with how busy it was, it took awhile for the food to come out. The burrito was massive, almost the size of my forearm. I typically wouldn't cut it in half but I did so I can take a pic for the people. This thing was packed with all the ingredients listed and they did not skimp on one thing. I felt the quality of the ingredients was great too. The bacon was perfectly crisp and in larger chunks which gave the burrito some texture too. The flour tortilla was fresh and delicious as well. The Agua Fresca was just ok, it didn't wow me. On top of the breakfast options, they have combination plates, burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tortas, tostadas, and quesadillas. Overall, I thought it was well worth the drive to Kemah to try this place out and I can see myself doing it again from time to time. I will be back.
