Utterly shocked at what I saw today since I normally don't have too many issues with this location. While picking up food for someone inside, I stood by the front counter and witnessed several young employees touch food with their bare hands. The boy cooking burgers separated cheese slices and touched buns WITHOUT GLOVES. Also the boy placing fries touched them WITHOUT GLOVES. Went thru the drive-thru for 2 simple kid orders. I drive off and get to my kids school and look in the bag and I'm missing all the chicken nuggets for one of their orders. I went back and saw at least 8 people wondering around working and yet they mess up a simple order of food. Unacceptable... "IF" you go there triple check your orders because all 8 people in there missed it. Service was very slow. Drive-through was packed, employee standing by the menu board outside to take orders. She was nice. But like I said, very slow drive-through. In the last month I've tried curbside twice, and drive through twice. I know I was forgotten twice at curbside and once in the drive-through after they asked me to pull up. I went inside twice to get a refund and even that took forever. I talked to the manager to let her know of my prior 3 visits. I shouldn't come back, but the convenience of being so close to home is hard to pass up. Ok, I'll excuse them this time due to COVID causing a shortage of employees, but I KNOW they forgot about me the other times at curbside. Our family Saturday lunch tradition. Girl taking order today one of the better ones, though they initially forgot our extra fries, until asked. I like extra pickles and tomatoes and a side of gravy instead of catsup. I switch to unsweet tea to avoid all the big soda calories. This is one of the better WBs in DFW. I had never seen Whatabugers before moving here from Boston, and I've been to two of them already, and both were terrible. But today, for whatever reason, I felt compelled to go here for lunch. It was disgustingly good - I got the patty melt which was awesome, but also gross! I didn't know it was TWO patties - this thing is going to give me a post-lunch coma, I just know it!!!! But it was buttery and flavorful and awesome. The fries were hot and fresh and crispy - they're just like the old McDonald's fries! Speaking of old McDonald's stuff- the apple pie here is that old kind that's more like a molten lava apple pie egg roll and I LOVE IT. Also - the spicy ketchup is really good! Food was great for fast food. Everything was as fresh as it could be. The most impressive part of this location are its employees. The young lady who took my order had a great smile and was very friendly. My food was brought to me promptly, and I was asked two other times by other employees if I needed anything. This is literally the worst whataburger I've ever been to. I've came multiple times trying to see if it'll get better, but nope. They're extremely slow, not just because there's a long line either. One time when I came, it was me and another car around 3am when I was heading to work and they took way longer than they should've and I was late that day. Also, my order has never been correct once. Really sad experience. I walked in for an order and had to wait 22 minutes for my burger. Meanwhile, they were flying through drive through orders as if the customers inside didn't exist. Many customers inside were walking back to the counter with wrong order issues. Sad as it was a great location and the food was high quality. TERRIBLE night service! Very SUSPICIOUS. This is open 24 hours but when I drove up to this at location around 11pm on a weekday, the lights were cut except for the back area. There were about 10 cars in the lot, no lights in the dining area. I saw 2 employees were in the drive-through, 1 had her back to me but 1 white male with black frame glasses made eye contact tried to step out of my line of sight. This was the weird and oddest encounter. Something felt off because a man outside in the lot was hunched over in his car reaching for something when I drove behind his car. I Immediately felt scared and drove off. It was the most eerie thing. The employees were either doing drugs in the back or something terrible enough to see me and ignore my attempt to get their attention asking if they're closed. Will be sending a written complaint to Corp to evaluate this location. Not surprised from the rumors KHS is saying. read more

Why I keep going back to this location to give it a second, third, fourth chance etc. is my mistake. They constantly mess up our order and many times we end up having to go back because they forget food and our family wouldn't get to eat. It's not that hard to take an order and put it in the bag. I have a million gift cards from here and every time I use one at this location SOMETHING goes wrong. The last time I came through, I had a gift card with 15$ and my total was 2.55. He threw away my card and gave me no receipt and then gave me attitude when I waited for one. He finally realized his mistake when I called him out on it and he gave it back with a receipt. So I left happy that I saved myself from losing 12$. This time around, I checked the balance of a previously used gift card which had $8.55 left on it. I went through the drive-through and the man working told me that there was nothing on the card. I showed him the balance that I had checked of $8.55, and he denied that this was true and told me that he had swiped at three times with attitude. I told him that I would check it again and then he asked for a card to use. He wouldn't even try typing in the gift card number and was very rude. Unsafe food handling! After ordering, I observed the gentleman on the burger station handling the food without gloves after coming directly from handling money and the register. So I know this is going to sound kinda stupid, but I just had my first Whataburger after living here for 7 years! And I liked it! I guess I was thinking it would be like other fast-food burgers, but it wasn't. It was actually good. Someone reviewed another location once and likened the Whataburger to In-n-Out. I'd say it was similar in that my burger was LOADED with veggies (like In-n-Out does it) - just the way I like it. My favorite burger is one with lettuce, tomato, pickles, raw onions and mustard. This is the Whataburger burger. Go figure. No mayo. No ketchup. Just mustard. Yea, I know you can alter it however you like, but the way it's presented without changes suits me just fine. Anyway, it was hot, fresh and quite tasty. I hope this wasn't a one-off and that the next time I go it's just as good. I didn't try the fries, so the 4 stars is just for the burger. read more

Employees here have the typical "I make minimum wage" type of attitude. I asked for ranch for the Potatoe like substitute things they call fries here, never received it. Kind of like McDonald's fries...not quite sure if they're real. Texan's everywhere rave about this joint. Quite frankly I don't get the hype. Carolyn Order 3 Whataburger's today, Boy have they gone downhill since we moved here. The buns were so greasy, came apart when I picked it up, The lettuce had big chunks that I had to take out. The tomatoes soft, like they had been sliced early that morning, For about the last year It seems to be going downhill. I called the order in and was picked up in 10 minutes. Soapy Ice Tea. Tastes like soap. And when I dumped it I still saw foam bubbles on inside walls of my cup. Then I lifted the plastic lid to the aluminum tea cylinders and yep, soapy residue on the inside walls. McDonald's uses plastic bags for their tea cylinders to avoid this. Yuck! read more
