as someone who has worked at whataburger in the kitchen, it's ridiculous how long it takes to get your "fast food". if you're looking for something quick this is NOT the location you want to be at, went inside to eat because for this whataburger the line was "long" even though it was at most maybe 6 cars long. waited 20 minutes for a patty melt meal. while eating inside i hear the fryer timer beeping for about a good minute before it was even turned off, at least 5-6 people on staff, and everything cooked it timed, the grill can easily cook 10-20 burger patty's at a time within 2-5 minutes. still can't explain pinpoint where this location goes wrong is time efficiency but even when you get your food, you'd be lucky if some of it is even warm! although i am bashing this location, the staff seems to be fairly kind and noticeably stressed, very possible they're understaffed and do their best to do all they can, and from what i notice is there's usually only 1 manager during the day (at the location i worked at there was usually 2 and 1 GM) so their guidance may not be the best either. with all being said, if this is your local whataburger, make sure you have 30 minutes to spare before going! read more

When it's not even peak hour... and not to mention the last time I was there. I even selected a third different location but with the same results. The meat patty is thinner and dissatisfying. I had preferred Whataburger over any other outside my home for more than 40 years, but not anymore after three in a row poor experiences I don't believe it was a unusual occurrence. I came to order some food after 9 o'clock and had to wait 10 minutes before anyone would show up at the counter. They had 4 employees sitting at a table just chatting. I asked them if they were open but all I got was a deer in a headlight look. 2 employees in the back also saw me but basically ignored me. Eventually someone from the back took my order and we had the privilege of waiting forever to get our meal. Of course, there weren't any other customers in site. This is the Whataburger in the middle of Pasadena and Pearland, so we meet up here. Service has never been bad and the food is always hot and fresh. This Whataburger is the nearest one to me and the usual one I visit. I don't come to Whataburger very often because I rarely eat at fast food joints. This Whataburger is the slowest I've been to. It takes them ten hours just to prepare your meal and then bring it out to you. I stopped here last night, and went to the drive thru to order. It was already 4 cars ahead of mines, and still every car ahead of mines went quickly. But when it got to my car, the cashier told me I had to drive to the front and they would bring my food out to me. Now, I didn't order the whole menu. I only got something for myself and my grandma. Seem very unorganized and insanely slow. Ordered and payed ahead tonight through the mobile app at 12:09, was able to tell them I was there by 12:14, which shows on receipt, and they told me to move to the outside lane to wait for my mobile order. After a while I started seeing that cars that got there after me and probably didn't order ahead were getting their food and I'm still waiting. I thought that the point of ordering through the app is to order ahead and your food should be ready for you around a certain time, which the app said order should be ready by 12:20. I'm ok with waiting a tad longer if a drive thru is a little backed up of course. Finally a worker comes out and asks me if I ordered food items that I didn't order, then he asked me what my name was and said they didn't know I was there when I told him I'd been waiting a while. He then proceeded to go to about six cars behind me to take their orders on a tablet. Comes back AGAIN and asks for my name again and while he's doing that, another worker comes out and gives the person behind me their food. Someone that got there way after I did. But today, just as a test, I went through the Drive through at Taco Bell over and over just to see a comparison. I was able to go through the Taco Bell drive-through four times before my wife made it through the Whataburger drive-through once.
