This Whataburger served the thickest, juiciest burger patty stacked with all the fixings. All Whataburgers I've been to serve up a flimsy, squished looking burger but you can tell that they really care about serving up a quality burger here. The fries were hot and wonderful. The floors and tables were clean. Melony was our cashier and she was witty and helpful, which only added to our experience. I am not from an area with Whataburgers available, so I stopped by their drive thru for a quick on-the-road meal in TX. Grabbed the basic burger meal with fries and drink. I was surprised the wait in the drive thru was pretty long after placing my order. Once I got the meal, I realized how large the drink was. "P" for plenty of soda. I love the classic Whataburger chicken basket. The Texas toast, 3 chicken fingers, gravy and fries... *chefs kiss. But what is the deal with the service?! They have never gotten my order right, always forgetting a drink, side or sauces (I tried adding an extra gravy hoping they wouldn't forget it if I double added it. But alas they cannot be outsmarted!) To make sure you get your entire order in a reasonable amount time, order ahead on the app and then pick up inside. The drive thru line only operates at a snail pace. I don't think the food is good enough to take that long. Defeats the whole idea of "fast food." I think the only reason this place stays open is because it's right off the highway. The service is horrid and you can talk to management until you're blue in the face. I have no clue as to what the food here is like, they couldn't manage to even get that far in the process. Me and my wife ordered online and really only came for shakes but apparently their machine is down ( fast food code for to lazy to clean it right then) and tried to hand my wife drink cups to make up for it. They didn't offer to refund the shakes and they got really nasty with my wife when she said that she wanted one. They also had about 45 min to get our food ready and they hadn't started on that either. They didn't know how or try to offer help getting our refund bc it was online and they didn't prepare our food either. For 30 minutes for fries. Eventually we got frustrated and asked how long? They had forgotten our order. So they went to make it. Had a disappointing experience at this Whataburger. We routinely stop at one when driving between DFW and San Antonio - usually in Belton. My wife and I WON'T dine here again. The food was ok, although the buns were dry and the burger barely warm. However, the bathrooms were awful. The men's toilet did not flush, was full of urine, paper towels were strewn on the floor, and the sink had brown stains all over it. The woman's had a broken paper towel dispenser so no towels were available. Won't be back. read more

I am heading to a ranch in Austin, Texas and nothing sounded better than some Whataburger on the way. I was upset to find that my triple cheeseburger came with only one slice of cheese. When I mentioned this problem to the waiter all she said was that I was not charged for the cheese that I originally ordered and didn't offer to at least fix my burger. I love the whataburger franchise but I was severely disappointed at my experience while in this specific whataburger. You can see the disappointment in my face as I was eating my burger. Was very skeptical to stop here given all the low reviews, but decided to give them a try. Went inside to order. There was 1 person in front of us. The cashier gave him fries instead of onion rings. Cashier was looking for the manager to fix it. Took a few minutes to finally get the manager and the situation fixed. It seemed as though the cashier was fairly new. It also looked like there were 8 employees working for a Monday night. At this point I was seriously thinking of leaving, but I was Hungry!! Manager stayed next to the cashier when we were ordering which eased my mind. Our order came out perfect! Fries were hot, burgers were exactly what we ordered, Cobb salad had lots of fresh veggies!! This is the worst Whataburger there is. We just moved to Hillsboro and have been here 4 times. The order has never been right going through the drive through, even though they repeated it correctly after ordering. My diabetic husband was given a Sprite instead of a Diet Coke. Large order of fries missing. Last night we waited in line for 26 minutes. Our food was cold. The cheese didn't even melt on the burgers on the way home. I believe this is the first time I've ever been let down by a Whataburger. Seriously. I ignored the Yelp reviews. Fast food joints almost always have crap reviews on Yelp. That... was a mistake... Dumb #1: one-holer bathrooms. There was a line almost the entire time we were there. Even for the men's room. This is right off the highway. Who the hell would put one-holer bathrooms in an area that gets this much traffic? WTF #2: food came out fast. I always expect to wait for my meal at Whataburger because it's made to order and higher quality than most fast food meals. Not the case here. Bad omen... Disappointment #3: soggy fries. Going with #2, these fries were not fresh. I hardly ever eat fast food, so this was immensely disappointing. But at this point, we were done. This place was clearly a dumpster fire, never to be visited again. Only good points: my burger was good and service was fairly friendly. But the offsets... sunk this location. We came and ordered some food to dine in and the workers never brought out our food. And when we asked what happened to our order and they told us that they had forgotten our food. We had waited there for over half and hour only to find out that they didn't even make our order. We tried to be understanding but they just kept making it worse. We realized that they had not only forgotten our orders but they had also used food that was not even freshly made. One of the employes tried to make it better by remaking our orders but another employee told us that they would not remake it. It's very disappointing because we are always going to this restaurant and have never had a problem. It was one of the restaurants that we trusted in Hillsboro but now it makes me feel uncertain. This Whataburger is conveniently located on the southwest intersection of I-35 in Hillsboro, a highly charged travel corridor so it's easy to find and parking is abundant and well designed to capitalize on this traffic. But that's where the excitement ends. Pulling up to the drive through there was no one to take the order. After waiting patiently, I eased up curiously to the first of two drive up windows which are very darkly tinted. No one came to the window making me think they might be closed since it was a Sunday afternoon and there were only about 3 cars behind the restaurant. Looking closer into the window I faintly detected a worker who did not come to the window. About to give up I pulled up to the second window where a young teenage girl asked us what we ordered. I patiently explained we had not yet ordered. She said ok, closed the window came back promptly and said she'd take our orders and warmly assured us the order would be out quickly. Waiting about 7 minutes a different worker asked us nervously if we had received our "straws" yet. Smiling, I said no and he gratifyingly handed us two straws & shut the window. He came back a couple of minutes later. By now the car line was full. He confirmed our order, handed us our food and asked if we wanted napkins. I said sure. He thanked us and we were on our way. 15 minutes down the interstate it donned on me they never charged us. What a kind gesture. read more
