Let me begin by saying it was not what I expected. It definitely was a burger, but just a regular burger nothing special, no special sauce or anything. The burger was okay I just thought the buns were a just a bit greasy. It wasn't what I was expecting it to be but that's just me. The service was good. For price . Maybe adding some lettuce tomato onions pickles ketchup etc to their burgers might help it look more appealing to customers. The drive through was packed but the inside was not , that's why I went inside . I will come back to try something else on the menu to give them another try

First time checking out Whataburger! I can finally see what all the hype is about. I throughly enjoyed it. For being a fast food burger joint it was a good experience. I loved the easy ordering process and delicious food. I ordered a Whataburger meal and chose to try the Dr Pepper Blueberry shake. It was all so good. I can't wait to go back!

Bacon and #5 Bacon & Cheese Whataburger, made the way they wanted it to be.

I've visited this location multiple times, and the experience is very inconsistent. Some visits are fine, but others feel like there's little attention to accuracy or quality. My most recent visit was especially disappointing. I ordered three bacon and cheese burgers with specific customizations, and not a single one was made correctly. The only consistent detail was that two of them had bacon. My own burger, which was supposed to include bacon and cheese, came with one patty, a large amount of jalapeños, onions, and tomatoes--none of which I requested--and it didn't even have cheese. It felt rushed and poorly assembled, like there was no care put into getting the order right. While I did receive a refund, the overall experience was frustrating. I would strongly recommend double-checking your order before leaving, especially during busy times. Consistency and attention to detail need improvement.

Stopped in when it wasn't busy to finally see what the hype was about. Been the mid reviews, so wanted to justify it for myself. Amazing, friendly service and greetings, but we went down hill after that point. How did they focus on having hot fries, but not at least a warm burger? May room temp at best. Might try again on another day. Scared to even think about breakfast.

    Nasty onion rings

I grew up in Louisiana and Whataburger and loved it!! it was always so good and I couldn't wait to try the Greensboro location. this was my second visit and will be my last. Wednesday night around 7, not crowded at all. Went in to counter and waited 5 minutes for an associate to come to front. It was absolutely the worse food I've ever had that I paid $26 for! The milkshake was good. The onion rings were cooked the day before, burnt and greasy / no onion inside. The meat had been sitting under lamp for hours. Took one bite and couldn't swallow it. It was disgusting. Had it not been 20 minutes from my house and gas not $4.23 gallon I would have taken it back. I took pictures and will be sending them to corporate. Worse experience I've ever had at fast food or any restaurant.

Customer service was great. Well beyond typical fast food levels. Hash browns were not greasy like we have had at other locations.

Speed, correct orders, polite staff, fresh food. The entire experience was terrible from the 30 minute wait to the cold old food.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

It was quiet inside, but that didn't deter the staff from efficiently taking our order and getting us burgers hot and fresh within about 15-20 minutes! I like that it's an order at the counter place, with a very distinct feel of getting a higher end burger at a place with waiter service. I think more restaurants would greatly benefit to change to this model, not everything needs a waiter, and customers are generally happy to handle getting their own drinks while saving the tip. Anyhow, I went with the smashburger special, two smashed out patties topped with American cheese, pickles, onions, shredded lettuce, and burger sauce. I got tots for my side, because frankly, I think tots are the superior potato consumption method. The patties had a nice crust on them, plenty of beefy grilled flavor, nicely seasoned. The cheese and onions provided balance, and acidic hits from the pickle topped it all off. Very tasty. The tots were fried crispy just how I like them. Everyone else at the table had a similar premium experience with their items, and we all agreed this was a great pivot. We'd come back!

I ordered onion rings as my side. They are cut in house and hand breaded. They also come with a dipping sauce. The onion rings were good but greasy. Next time, I'll opt for the hand cut French fries! The serving size of fries is enormous! Food order is placed at a counter. If you chose to eat in, you're given a number and food is brought to your table. Only tables in this restaurant: some with only chairs and others with chairs on one side and a bench seat on the other side. All seats are hard, and with NO padding. The restaurant had a good business, with 80% capacity inside and people coming in and out constantly for to go orders. I ended up here because the restaurant I planned to visit was closed for renovations. I feel like it was my lucky day, as this burger was much better than I would have gotten there. I will return!

After ordering, it took maybe 5 minutes to get our food which felt decent for the fresh food! There was a steady flow of to-go orders so it seems to be a popular spot. I ordered the Popper Topper Burger, although I do get the jalapeños on the side. I was expecting a little bit more to be honest. It was cheesy and delicious, but the patty itself was lacking any flavor. This was shocking because the menu described it to be "Cajun seasoned" but it felt very plain. The fries were my favorite part by far!!! Unlike other places, this had plenty of toppings. Normally, once you eat the top layer the underside is dry. Not here! I was covered in cheese sauce by the end of the meal. If you're in the mood for some really good fries, definitely check it out!

While the exterior is a far cry from the "vibrant patio" the restaurant description promises, the interior opens into a clean, bright space, which is more spacious than one might expect. On the front counter you will see an artistically designed menu board, depicting the many creative offerings available here. When I invited my coworkers to join me here for lunch, 2 immediately began ardently affirming my choice, regretful they could not join me but promising I would love it. In this moment, vague memories of them talking about this "really good burger place at the gas station" for months on end began to come back to me, as I realized they had been indirectly recommending it for a while. On the other hand, my 3rd coworker, who was in a separate room and had not heard their high praises, told me that it was "overrated" and "fine but not that special." Lol. Needless to say, I had absolutely no idea what to make of it all when I arrived. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter asked if I had ever been there, before patiently walking me through the various sections of the menu and helping me pick something out. I settled on the Popper Topper, which promised Cajun spices and fried jalapeño coins, among other various toppings. At its smallest size (big), it only cost $10.99. I also ordered bacon and cheddar fries. My initial impressions upon receiving my food (quite quickly, I might add) is that 1) the restaurant's name is perfect and 2) this is a very good quantity per dollar and an absolutely absurd calorie per dollar meal, especially in 2025. For right at $20, I got a huge burger and enough fries to satiate 2-3 people. I cannot fathom what the larger burger sizes look like, much less who could possibly be ordering them. The fries were everything I could have asked for -- crispy, salty, and with a very generous amount of both cheddar sauce and bacon (the perfect amount to have sauce on every bite but not be soggy). The burger was good, and definitely satisfied that primal craving for salt and fat that we all carry with us from hunter-gatherer days gone by. However, I wouldn't say it was particularly spicy, nor did its flavor deviate significantly from any generic burger I could order. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but I was a little disappointed. I think that the fried jalapeño coins are breaded a little on the thicker side, which somewhat mutes the spice and slight acidity that they would otherwise add to this dish, to help cut through and brighten the other flavors. All in all, I had a great meal and would totally come back, but I don't think I've tried the "perfect" burger from here yet. Definitely going to recommend this to anyone in the area.

Today I stopped in for a to go order, but next time I plan on enjoying the patio with my pup Ziggy and try one of their burgers. I ordered the Madison Avenue which is a croissant smeared with honey walnut cream cheese, smoked turkey, and granny smith apples. My side was slaw and I also ordered fries with a side of ranch. Upon walking in the place appeared clean, the customer service, not the best. But maybe someone was having a bad day, I get it. I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch. The young man gave me three ranches which I'm so disappointed I only grabbed one. Unfortunately I didn't get the best pictures but the food tasted great. The fries were thick cut (probably frozen) and let me tell you, I would just come back for the ranch! They have my favorite restaurant ranch. The slaw was really tasty - good ole southern sweet mayonnaise slaw, not too vinegary. The sandwich, not bad, good combo of toppings, they paired well together. I' ll be back. Anyone want to go for a patio lunch? Ciao for now
