I am originally from California and am now living in Vegas, so when I finally had the chance to try Whataburger, I wanted to jump on that chance because there is no Whataburger that is anywhere close to where I live. My husband and I were visiting Phoenix for the weekend, and it was my very first time in Arizona as well. We went to the drive thru and it was a little busy. We were waiting maybe 10-15 minutes, so we were there for a little while. We finally got our food. I ordered the cheese and jalapeño burger meal and my husband just ordered a regular Whataburger burger. Sad to say, this place didn't live up to my expectations, especially since Whataburger has been hyped up for me by so many people. My burger was DESTROYED my so much mustard. I couldn't taste anything besides mustard. I even tried to wipe some of it off, but no luck on the taste :( My husband's burger was just ok but better than my burger. It tasted very similar to a burger from Sonic, nothing special or very memorable. The fries weren't even crispy or hot, either. I've always enjoyed this establishment the food is fresh and my fountain drink is always sweet just the way I love it. I've been visiting this establishment for years it's my go to on my way to work every morning. I always go through drive-thru since it's early in the morning. Well for the past 3 days my experience has been awful, luke warm fries that are salty and chicken bites are fatty. Every morning that I pop through I prey that it will be better but isn't. The worst part is that I don't have time to go back because I don't want to be late for work. This place is seen OUTSIDE of California. On my way to Texas one year I saw tons of these places but failed to get to eat at any of them. Here was my chance during my trip to Arizona. It's a cool looking place with the white and orange colors that light the place up. I ordered the simple items such as the burger and fries. I was hoping they had the spicy ketchup but that's no longer the issue. The burger here is okay. It's no In-N-Out. A decent burger that gives you what you need. It feeds the hungry. The fries were nice, crispy , and rightly salted. They have their own ketchup here, but nothing beats Heinz ketchup. If you're a fast food lover and have never tried it then come on through. Night crew (9p-12a) are always friendly and nice to interact with. The wait is never very long even if there's a few cars in the drive thru.

I can't speak for the day crew but for some reason the night crew is so slow. When I came here on my break at 10pm I didn't get to place an order until 10:30 lol. A Fast Food Favorite Whataburger has been in the business of serving food for a very long time. You cant make it in the fast food industry for as long as Whatburger has by serving bad food. The service at Whataburger is always fast, friendly, and accurate. My nephew and I ordered our food and went to a table, before I knew it our food was brought to the table. The food was fresh, hot, and oh so good. The burger patties at Whatburger aren't thick but the lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard and bun really do make for a tasty burger. I also enjoy Whatburger's breakfast items. The Breakfast on a Bun with sausage and grilled onions is pretty good, as are the pancakes.
