My family and I ordered from this Whataburger location on February 4 while we were in the area running errands and decided to pick up dinner through the Uber app. You can also order directly through the Whataburger app, which is convenient for redeeming rewards and earning points through their rewards program. The restaurant is located near several businesses, including KFC, Walgreens, and a Sam's Club gas station, making it an easy stop while out and about. The staff inside were very friendly, and we only had to wait a few minutes for our order to be ready. Everything was packaged well when we received it. However, once we got home about 15 minutes later, we were disappointed with the food quality. The fries were extremely soggy and tasted undercooked, as if they had been taken out too soon. The burger was also soggy and did not taste freshly made -- it seemed like it may have been sitting for a while before pickup. Fortunately, I was able to contact Whataburger customer service. They kindly provided additional reward points for a future visit, and I also requested a refund since we were unable to enjoy the meal. This experience was disappointing because it's not what we're used to at other locations. A helpful tip would be to ensure fries are cooked fully so they stay crisp, avoid over-salting the food, and make sure orders are prepared fresh rather than sitting too long before customers arrive. read more

My friend and coworker, raised in Texas, has long yapped, at every opportunity, about his love for Whattaburger. I live in LA and this is the closest location and I just happen to be coming to the Phoenix area to hike, so it became my moment to finally try what my friend had long been raving about! We all have fondness for things we grew up with, so I really wasn't sure what to expect based on my friends reviews. My first thoughts were how clean and well kept everything was, the staff was very pleasant, the menu, simple, yet robust, which also includes breakfast in the early hours before 11am. I was thinking it would be another greasy spoon, like a Burger King, but it was more on the level of a Chick-fil-A because of how pleasant and excited the employees appeared, as well as, the care taken for every aspect of the business. The food was made-to-order, the portions were much larger than I expected, the ingredients were all high-end, and it was packaged with care. I had ordered two sandwiches because it was my first time, but apparently she sold me a third one that I didn't know about, but that was OK, since I wanted to try as much as I could. Since the portions were larger than expected, I took the other two sandwiches with me for our long journey back to LA. (had one when I got home at 9pm, and had the other for breakfast). I wouldn't say the food was particularly unique, or stood out in any manner other than the fact that it was fresh, made with quality items and was tasty and filling; however, the collective experience was enjoyable, and I would frequent it if there was one in my area. read more

I love this place for the memories from the south. This location was dirty and the burgers were a little messy.

The food was great. The service was great. The ambience I wouldn't know about because I went through the drive-through, which is a very, very long wait but obviously it's because of the price the value the quantity and quality would I return absolutely but only through the drive-through, which still is a typical 20 minute wait they do their best though and they are very quick Compared to anywhere else and the food is good read more

I had a large breakfast with family and friends just a couple of hours before but I can't head back to Cali without getting some Whataburger first. Drive thru wasn't packed and I was super excited to see they had the Banana pudding shake. Ordered the triple cheese whatameal combo w cheese, no mustard, add Mayo with a banana pudding shake. Celeste broke my heart when she told me they were out of the banana shake. Got a sweet tea instead for my friend. Celeste apologized and said they were waiting on the truck. She was super nice and friendly! Got my food and shared the fries w my friends. The triple cheese was so f'ing good! Always reminds me of being a kid back in Houston. I've been to other Whataburgers in PHX but this one nailed the whole meal! I'd give 5 but no banana shake so y'all get 4! read more

This place is hit or miss. Unfortunately mostly it's a miss. We've learned to time our visits to when it's busy assuring us that our burgers are freshly cooked. We've learned the hard way that you're risking a cold burger during non rush hours. Given that we love our freshly cooked Whataburgers. Service is mostly a miss. Whenever we walk in there is never anyone at the counter so we wait there until someone "decides" to notice us. One time we attempted to get someone's attention after standing there a while and was greeted with hostility. The food runners have been pleasant however. read more

Epic failure of an establishment. Bathrooms ate dirty, dining room not maintained, stains on trash doors! I had just ordered b4 looking at disaster. Young lady hated to take my order or asking questions. Not real pleasant. I ordered green chili burger add pickles at bottom of bun! Didn't happen! Fresh fry's were flash fried not fully cooked! Never going back to this lack of area gene pull of employees and mngt! Owner should sell! read more

Hallelujah hallelujah!!!! OMG, I did not ever think I would be eating at WHATABUGER EVER AGAIN. This place hales from Texas and it is one of the best fast food restaurants in the country. This is just a a family friendly place for the blue collar people to enjoy with their families. Which won't break the bank, there are fewer and fewer places like this around where you can take your family and enjoy this place. The service is great here and they bring your food to you. And it is always with kindness and a smile. The food here is off the chain here THE MEIXAN PATTY MELT IS THE BEST SANDWICH, my go to. It is so good and delicious, THERE HATCH GREEN CHILI CHEESE BURGER is also amazing. Any WHATABURGER sandwich is great, you won't be disappointed. ONION RINGS ARE FRIED TO PERFECTION, along with the fries are so tasty especially dipped in their spicy ketchup, yes spicy ketchup is what I said. Look at the end of the day this one of the best burger chains in all of AMERICA, it compares to some other iconic places across the USA. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THIS ICONIC BURGER JOINT HAS NOT MADE IT TO UATH. Hopefully it will one day soon. read more

Poor service, mediocre fast food. The burger itself was fine, like a denser version of BK's Whopper. Not in the same league as In-N-Out.. Fries were pretty good. I've noted a few service gaffes below, but the issue wasn't because of lack of employee's, there were TEN people working in the back... Everyone working here was under 20, most maybe not even 18.. This location has so many bad reviews for service that it's mind boggling on why they can't seem to fix them. - They were out of hamburger buns on my visit. They were able to give me brioche buns instead, but they were pretty gummy. - Forgot to include an item in my order. - Way too much mustard on their burgers (be sure to request no mustard if you don't like it). - While the burger disc was cooked, it was cold. FINAL VERDICT: An absolute shit show.. Where are the owners?!? read more

This location is always the slowest of any Whataburger that I've ever been to. Do not go here if you're starving because you will wait 10+ minutes in the drive-thru lane. Cashier couldn't figure out how to enter my survey code for the free burger. I asked why it was taking so long today and was completely ignored, and their point scanner was broken too. My burger came out wrong and wasn't even fresh. Will never return to this location. Always disappointing read more

Every time we are in Arizona, we always go to this location. The simple answer is because its the first one that we hit before we go to our destination. I know majority of the reviews are about service but I mean... c'mon, its kind of a joke now. We personally haven't had any bad experiences but we've seen some and heard plenty. This time around we hit the drive thru and there was no issues. I got the honey bbq chicken tender sandwich and my wife got her patty melt. Everything was good and we can't wait to have some more soon. read more

This place was good. The customer service with the sorry white and Hispanic folks was excellent however there is a African American kid who just walks slowly from side to side he doesn't do anything has hair on his face so I feel he can't see. Food is great! Service, like usual, is awesome. Julian, the manager, made sure our food was good.

food barely warm, rude service, girl lied when I asked if there were napkins in the bag

I'd heard of Whataburger for years and how great it is and this was my first visit. I stopped in with two other people who had never eaten there before and heard the same great things about it... Pros: The water was good, and the lettuce, onion, and tomatoes, all seemed pretty fresh. Cons: First the service was ok, but everyone one in my group had something wrong with their order. My burger was room temperature, you can't see in the pic but the cheese wasn't even melted. And it's very low quality meat, thin patty with bits of grizzle and little pieces of whole vein in it, this reminds me of a Burger King patty they're the same way; may even be the same supplier. I also ordered the chicken strips and they were the cheap frozen mechanically breaded hard crust chicken tenders that you get a lot of places these days more breading than chicken; actually probably 50/50 to be fair. I paid over $12 for these two disappointing items so not only low grade food but overpriced too. Nobody in my group was happy with the food quality and none of us ever plan on returning. read more

Whataburger is my all time favorite fast food burger and I will always support this company but NOT this location and the reason why is the female manager Stephanie Castro, from yesterday, doesn't understand what good customer service is all about. They had my wife move from the drive through and park to wait for her order and 15 minutes went by and my wife had to go ask where her order was. Stephenie Castro told her, with an attitude, that they were busy and they lost the order. My wife asked how they could lose it when the order comes up on a screen and Stephanie Castro tells her "Well, we are busy and I guess they erased it", again with a very rude attitude. She never offered to make the order or refund the money. My wife finally told her she wanted her money back and Stephanie asked what card she used and my wife told she paid cash. After more attitude, she finally got her money back and went to another Whataburger location. Stephanie Castro should not be a manager or in the service business. Maybe behind a frier cooking, as long as she is supervised. You never know what people like her will do to someone's food in the drive through. read more

What is going on to my favorite breakfast chain? Does no one give a poop anymore? Food is cold, eggs were over salted. The cashier did not offer cream or sugar of the coffee. I am so bummed out after this visit. Whataburger has always been a favorite of mine but it has seriously gone down hill. We stopped in today ordered 2 number 5's one with onion one without, and a chicken strip meal. This was a to go order, their ice machine was barely working hardly any ice at all... our order is ready they call our number, a female in a leadership shirt asks if we would like ketchup, salt we say yes... she gives to us as she is ready to walk away my husband says excuse me can we get the spicy ketchup also she literally turned around grabbed some and threw it in the bag and turned to walk away... and I do mean THREW it in the bag, before I can even say anything my husband is already asking her why she felt the need to throw it that way she just says sorry and walks away. I could not believe how incredibly rude this girl was... I mean we are all entitled to a bad day I get it... but my husband asked her politely and none of that attitude from her was warranted. One of the biggest things to keep a business going is customer service... if you have "management" treating customers that way it reflects incredibly bad on the business. Won't be back! read more

We ordered a ketchup only burger for my son for dine in. Burger had mayo all over it. My husband kindly asked for a new burger. They brought over another burger with mayo all over it. He asked again for the correct burger and for a 3rd time they made a burger with mayonnaise. By this time he was not happy and walked to the counter asking for the correct burger. They made a burger covered in ketchup, spilling out the side, ketchup on top of the bun, all over the place. Smart mouth kid employees not trying to correct their issue but be mean and disgusting instead. He asked what they were doing and she said I'll refund your order and said do you want napkins to clean it?? Are you f'ing kidding me! They refunded the burger amount and put "angry guy" in the customer number area. Worst service ever, dirty restaurant, employee have no pride and no clue about customer service. Contact me please. read more

Every time I go there, the wait time gets longer and longer. There was a problem with everything besides the fries. The chicken taste like it was done for hours and cold, I had also asked without onions and it was full of onions like if it was a joke, I had also asked for toast bread instead of hamburger buns but they just made it flat with hamburger buns and the cheese was cold like are the burgers supposed to be cold now? Gave it a couple of bites but got grossed out by the coldness. Bad service. read more

Had not been to Whataburger for years, probably 5-6 years. Got a coupon in a group of food related fliers in the mail, which included one for a ChiliCheese Burger (free) if you purchase a med. fries and a drink. Sounded good. Stopped by the Whataburger on Van Buren and Dysart, went inside to order. The place was packed with customers and there seemed to be an equal amount of staff busily cooking, bagging, prepping and taking orders. I gave the counter clerk my order and stood to wait for it. So much activity. After a few minutes I asked the counter worker if it was always this busy. He said they had just received a $3000 order and everyone was working hard to fill it. Can you imagine ordering $3000 work of burgers, fries, shakes, sodas and other fast food ? Luckily I got my order in less than 5 minutes and was out the door. At home I unwrapped my purchase. The burger was huge, two beef patties, cheese, chili, bacon and a sauce, all in all a very good burger. I could only eat half of it, saved the other half for later. The fries were good and the soda, was a soda. Without the coupon this would have set me back about $12. That is more than I would pay for a burger, especially one that I could not eat in one sitting. But with regard to quality and time spent in the getting of the food, it was very good. Don't know I have ever truly recommended a fast food place, but I can say that the food was very good for a quick service place. read more

Well apparently they are not open 24/7, I went there at 3 am and there systems were down for 15-20min! When it's one of the few places open and you work at a hospital... you give that food to the customer for FREE!! That's good customer service!! You just lost a customer for life! read more

I come here about once a month during my lunch and every time they exceed my expectations. You usually don't associate great customer service with fast food. But every time I come here the employees genuinely greet you. You are made aware right away they acknowledge you and will be with you shortly. When they take ur order they r patient and I feel like they are rolling their eyes because I don't know what to order just yet. The best part, when they bring you your food, they have ketchup already on your tray. They even ask if you need more so they can get it for you. The food is good, the service is great! My favorite employee who's always there when I order is Naeira (I think I spelled right). Soft spoken and kind. Stop by and say Hi to her. She'll make your day!!! read more
