No wonder they were busy - this has to be the tastiest, most reasonably priced dinner in town! We found it thanks to online reviews, and are glad to add our pleasure in the tasty food and great welcome. We got the lemongrass beef (billed as spicy, but really not too spicy just a bit) -- and each bite was delicious, we didn't want it to end. We also got the fried rice with it, definitely worth the modest upcharge as it was super tasty also and made a fantastic accompaniment to the savory, intensely flavored beef. We come from Chicago where good Vietnamese food is easily found. On the road - not so much. We were thrilled here. This place rocks it with the flavors and value! A big plate of fresh herbs accompanied a small bowl of pho with mixed meats, another yummy treat. For the deliciousness, prices were super fair. It was busy but our food still came out pretty fast. The pho was delicious. The broth was seasoned to perfection and you could tell it was a good bone broth base. Served with a plate of bean sprouts, jalapeños, Thai Basil, cilantro and everything was extremely fresh. We were disappointed that they were only serving pho on the day that we went as we had been recommended to try the bún and bhan mi and those items were not available. Ordered spring rolls, pork bahn mi sandwich, and calamari. Bahn mi was small and not much meat or veggies inside; theres nOthing special to say about the sandwich. Spring rolls were good but its hard to mess that up. I noticed the veggies were kinda old. Not fresh looking. The peanut sauce was pretty good. The calamari was so sad, portion was so small, it came in a small plate with mainly onions, taste was decent. But compared to alot of the vietnamese places i have been to in Cali, this is a disappointment with the quality of food as well as the portions. I was t. I'm from the west coast and absolutely love pho. Since I moved here the places to choose from just didn't have that authentic taste til now. What the Pho has brought a little eastern culture to San Angelo with excellent pho and spring rolls but the new little shop in town needs some growth and polishing. There was no experienced waiters or waitresses.. No printed menus, and the prices were a bit high for the portion you receive. To truly wow the masses my only recommendation would be to find a fair price point and diversify the menu. The only pho they had was beef and i personally am more fond of the seafood variety. The Thia tea was very yummy. I had the Pad Thai and my husband had the pho (I can't remember which one) but he was very disappointed with his. Nice simple menu, great to have another place here in San Angelo that has Pho. The broth is good, the servers are pleasant, everything that you would want, nothing that you don't. Unless you are really against new, interesting things, like the little white seaweed-type thing in my pho-- it was delicious, and I didn't ask. They have milk tea with boba, pho (chicken or beef), and fried rice (all the meats). Wider drink selection, I just don't want to name off all the usual supsects (cola, tea, etc). While I find the food to be very good, the level of service offered by the waitresses varies quite a bit (some great, some meh ... none rude) and the dish variety is somewhat limited. Lovely little Pho place in Angelo. Food is very decent, you can pick what kind of beef goes into you Pho. If you are a big beef eater, add extra beef for $1.75 is available. The service is excellent, waitress is quick, attentive and very kind. I asked for a cup to take the left over Thai ice tea to go, the sweet girl just made an extra one for me! My wife and I came in for the first time today and had a good experience overall. Her fried rice was cooked very well and in a good portion, my lemongrass beef was cooked very well and the beef its self was very tender, you could tell itnhad been marinated for awhile. One of my wife's all-time favorite places! And it seems like every time we go there (which is fairly often), we run into our friends - which makes it even better. Their pho is second to none in San Angelo, and they have some other dishes that we're big fans of. We both love crawfish and some heat - if you do, too, I recommend their crawfish fried rice.
