It's our first time here. Walked in and only saw men's sitting and dining. There was one person in front of us and one being helped at the register. It wasn't even a long wait. Plenty of seating space with upbeat music playing in the background. Cashier that took our order was friendly and quick. Just so happened that we came in with four orders ahead of us that would wipe out the meat. He has some cooking but it will be an extra 10-15 minutes wait. Being pregnant and starving I didn't get the OG which was my plan. Instead we opted out for The Almighty. No updated menu prices listed in the pictures here since 2-3 years ago. Here are the recent price list. Oh and they offer stamp cards!

The OG with kimchi fries and falafel

Found my new go-to for gyros! Everything was super flavorful and well balanced. I cannot recommend the kimchi fries enough! Everyone working was very nice and checked on us multiple times. The vibes are great with good music but not too loud. The food came out very fast and everything was very clean. I will definitely be back!

Fresh pita chips with my favorite dipping sauce, sriracha mayo. But they have several to choose from!!

A true foodie treasure is back and as delicious as ever!! For any local foodies in the Tyler area, you knew who What About Kabobs was. They were locally owned gyros of awesome! But the owners sadly had to move on and the business changed hands a time or two before what all thought was closing for good. Then low and behold, a new owner gave us new hope when he bought the rights and started a good truck! Loyal fans everywhere rejoiced and followed as best we could. But winter was brutal, cold, and abnormally wet that year. Then Covid... And it closes again. But the owner said to hang on and hope. He wasn't done yet. Now they're back open on South Broadway in another shop and the food is...AWESOME!!! Fresh cooked to order gyros, falafel, shawarma and more are awaiting you! The vibe is great inside and at 5:00 when they opened fir dinner, folks were waiting to get in! Make sure the next time they're open, you're in line too! This place is worthy of its resurrection so get over here and show some love! Your tastebuds will thank you!

Gyro meat and making fresh pita

We got here just before 11:00 a.m. (before they open) on a Saturday. They let us in even though they weren't ready. All 3 of the employees were very nice and greeted us, even though they were busy prepping. We were instantly met with the smell of goodness (you know fried food and grilled meats). We ordered falafel with sriracha mayo($5), OG on pita (no onion) with original tiki ($10), and OG on seasoned fries with original tiki($10), and a side of curry ketchup ($0.50). Omg it was way too much. Neither of us could finish. We have finally found a place that rivals Houston Greek for taste and quality. This place best them in value. We have already started making plans to come back for dinner (don't judge)

The two men that were working behind the counters were very nice. The menu is not large, but it's still super delicious and very good price for what you get. The place is clean. Definitely one of our new regular spots.

Best Gyros this side of Athens, Greece. We love this place and enjoy going there for a treat. They also serve the best fries in town.

Good taste! Nice staff. You will find gyros all over Europe. This here is pretty close. We go here every two or three weeks.

I can't count the number of times that I've been, since I first tried the place in 2008 or 2009 (after moving to Tyler from the west coast). Bernard is almost always on hand to keep an eye on his "baby" and I've never had a bad dinner here. (Their lunch menu is a little light on choices, and I'm not a fan of the salad dressing used on the salads at lunch, but it's still a great place to take a client for lunch). Their dinner service is really where they shine though. The food is amazing, the ambiance is perfect for an intimate meal, and they always have amazing specials! (My favorite is when they have lamb... it is simply the best. My husband loves their seafood, but they do EVERYTHING well, and the bread and olive tapinade is so good that it's hard not to fill up on it while waiting for your food.) If you're adventurous, I'd suggest the escargot (after my husband tried it once, he now orders it every time we come here). If you simply want a decadent appetizer, the baked brie is wonderful. They also do a really good French onion soup. I really don't have anything bad that I can say about Bernard's, other than I wish it was open on Mondays.

A huge thank you to the staff and owners of Bernard's!!…read more I was throwing a surprise 60th birthday for my mom and I lived out of state. Cindy was extremely helpful in helping me plan a beautiful event for about 50 people. Everything was five stars, including the food, the service and the beautiful ambience. I had to travel the same day as the event, and I was able to just show up, and everything was perfect. Amazing experience!!
