My experience with Pure and Simple Pool Care was very poor. I paid $180 per month for their "Full…read moreService" package starting in May 2025, which was supposed to include weekly cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment checks. Despite this, no one serviced my pool for the first month, and I was still charged in full. Over the next several months, key services like filter cleaning and equipment inspection were not performed. I later discovered my pump had failed, only to be told technicians hadn't entered my yard because of a dog -- yet there was no communication or pause in billing. I was told the company would "make it right" with a free replacement pump, but the old pump was never replaced. Instead, I received a $950 bill for a "new" pump that wasn't installed, quoted at nearly double its retail price. In total, I paid for six months of incomplete service and was billed for equipment I never received. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Pure and Simple Pool Care.

He's notified me more than once about something that needed attention, whether it be a minor repair or other adjustment, and in the case of repair his fix was quick and competitively priced. Before hiring him I'd asked friends for a recommendation of a good pool service, and no one really liked their pool care services.... it seems to be a business where providers come and go, often don't show up, and charge too much for too little. This is definitely NOT what happens with Josh. He communicates well and does an excellent job. As a home owner, I find there are just so many things that need maintenance or attention it can be hard to keep up with it, but having Pure and Simple Poolcare maintain my pool makes it so much easier. Today I had the pleasure of interacting with the owner, who parked his company van in a way that completely blocked the view of oncoming traffic for anyone trying to exit the community. The car ahead of me struggled to get out, so I rolled my window down and let him know he was blocking visibility at an actual intersection. His response? "What do you want me to do?" I suggested the obvious: pull up a little so people can see. He said he couldn't because it would block the guest lane. I suggested pulling to the other side. His response? That would block the resident lane. Here's the fun part: there was no one in either lane and still about 100 feet of empty space in every direction. But apparently, basic spatial awareness and public safety were too much to ask. So instead, the owner of this company chose to block an intersection, argue about it, and refuse to move--despite being told it was dangerous. I still couldn't see oncoming traffic, and when I finally made a left turn, I almost got T-boned. If this is how this man handles a simple, common-sense situation--being made aware that he's creating a legitimate safety hazard--I can't imagine trusting him with heavy equipment, construction, or something as basic as pool maintenance. I wouldn't trust him to dig a hole in my backyard, let alone manage a pool, even if he were the last option on Earth. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, and wildly irresponsible. Hard pass.

Apex has done everything from weekly cleanings, to motor replacement, to one off part replacements and always works to get us what we need at cost, or included in our typical weekly expenditures. I changed to their weekly pool service and this is the first year in many I have not had an algae bloom or any skin irritation. We have an older chlorine pool and they keep it clean, swept, and in balance. I am home sometimes when they are here and see them checking the chemical levels. They have been honest with providing services, arriving at nearly the same time each week and my pool stays beautiful. I am very pleased and believe I get good value from them.
