Arepa de choclo original
Viviana G.

Excellent service! Best arepas de choclo we've ever had! Prices are fair, and even though we arrived close to closing time, Wilmer took our order ahead of time and made sure we had a place to sit and enjoy our food. Highly recommend 100%!

Really delicious, fresh, and authentic Colombian food! They use delicious corn arepas paired with mozarella cheese. It's a winning combination, and we can't recommend them enough. We are so happy we found WezzArepas when they were a smaller business at 626 Night Market and Foodieland, and are even happier to see them grow and now have their own food truck located in Whittier. All the items are freshly made to order, and they also serve plenty of authentic Colombian drinks. Friendly and excellent service all around that has us coming back again and again!

Ordered 4 empanadas (2 beef and 2 chicken) and an original arepa. The empanadas were yummy and had a good amount of meat filling and crunch. Arepa was good as well. All around I would give the food a 4, however my overall rating is a 3 because I paid for 4 empanadas, but only got 3. And of course I didn't think to check the bag until I got home (they give you the bag stapled so I didn't think to open it until I got home). And it would be one thing if it was crazy busy and the order got mixed up with another, but I was the only person there so not sure what happened, but needless to say I was annoyed when I got home and realized there was a missing empanada Update: restaurant reached out to me to clear up the mishap so 5 stars for customer service

The guys at the truck were really welcoming and easy to talk too! Myself, my husband and my daughter went to check this place out! I've been seeing the post on IG and wanted to try it! Everything in the photo plus top cost about $50. The Mastiff (hotdog). . Man! All the sauces blended together so well, the crunch of the potato chips! Sheesh! I'm getting hungry again! The Arepas themselves were delicious and a great cheese pull! IYKYK. I got two original and one pepperoni. Ive never had a Colombian Soda. It's delicious! Like a cream sickle ice cream! Or orange root beer float. However you taste it, try it!!!

Hot dog

Delicious! I had the original arepa, hot dog and empanada. The food was fresh and didn't taste greasy. The sauces were well seasoned and flavorful. The piña sauce could have been a tad sweeter. I would have enjoyed a more cheese on my arepa but that's just personal taste. Suggestion make regular corn arepas too! Not everyone likes choclo and the regular yellow corn are more traditional. An easy item that can be added to the menu. Just a thought. I will be back!

Beef empanada

We see this spot on our drive home and finally got the opportunity to try them out. 10/10! Empanadas were filled nicely and the hot dog was amazing! We will definitely return!

Chicken Empanadas. So delicious and stuffed with chicken.

Service was friendly but this particular night there was only one server for the entire restaurant so we had to wait a while to get our order taken plus we were never checked on so we had to wait a while to ask for water later and a really long time before we got our checks. The interior is colorful with faux windows on the wall and nice "Colombia" letters above the register. The menu is extensive though prices NOT listed on the paper menus. Food is slightly on the more expensive side but portions are decent in return. We ordered empanadas, jugo de lulo, aguapanela con limón, mondongo, and bistec a caballo. I also sampled some of their arepa con queso, bandeja paisa, and picada dishes that our friends ordered. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of many drinks and also sold out of desserts. The mondongo was excellent and piping hot, but I am a big fan of tripe; it was served with rice and shredded cabbage. The bistec a caballo came as a large piece of steak and was bathed in a flavorful sauce and came with rice, a cup of beans, and a fried egg. The drinks and empanadas were also tasty. Overall, it was an excellent meal other than slightly subpar service on this visit. I would love to return on Fridays for their ajiaco, and Sundays for their sancocho!

My wife and I went to El Molinito restaurant in Pico Rivera just across the street from Walmart. This our first time trying Colombian cuisine,I have eaten Colombian cuisine before I enjoy the flavors and depth of flavor of the food. We're greeted by the owner of the restaurant she told us we can sit anywhere in the restaurant and we did find a table. She came and hand us the menu then she our drinks order we both order coffee. The restaurant is very nice e cozy little restaurant of full of Colombian adornments that you feel you are in Colombia. We both decided to order the Huevos Pericos it's scramble eggs Colombian style it comes with rice and Arepa with cheese. It's like a Salvadoran Pupusa but Colombian version of the pupusa. The waitress brought our meal it looks so good and delicious and the aroma was overwhelming from the Arepa and the Huevos Pericos or scrambled eggs. I try the scramble eggs they so good incredible flavors in the egg including the other ingredients like the tomatoes and onions and spices they use in the egg they were fluffy and good. The rice was amazing it have good flavor in the rice and fluffy that we enjoy. The Arepa was so good like a pupusa but cheesy that I really like including the cheese they use in Arepa. Overall we enjoy the food at the El Molinito restaurant, we come back again and try different items from their menu.

( it's Colombian beer mixed with Colombian soda - it's amazing!) We ordered the arepas with chicharron, steak, and ceviche. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. The butter that came with the steak has sooo much flavor, I put that on everything. Our server Jake ( I believe that was his name) was super friendly and informative. It also smells like amazing meat which is a huge plus for me. We didn't have reservations so had to sit in the bar area which did include high top booths thankfully. It was our first time and happened to dine during one of their collab nights. We were disappointed at first because we were craving Colombian food. But the limited menu looked promising so we gave it a go. It turned out that everything was delicious. The spare rib was fall off the bone tender and had great smoky flavor. The beans were surprisingly tasty too. (I always find beans an unnecessary and bland accompaniment). I absolutely loved the brisket stir fry. The flavors blended well and it had a nice kick. The meat was so tender and I appreciated the meat to noodle ratio. The chicken inside the empanada was deliciously smoky but not overly so and the crust was the right consistency and crisp. It came with 3 sauces which were good but would have like a more spicier option. I tried two cocktails that were in the collab menu. The black old fashioned was too strong for me. I definitely preferred the buffalo soldier which was tasty and refreshing. My favorite dessert was the Natilla. It was like a flan mousse and so good. The toasted coconut flakes added a nice texture. The oblea was fun to eat. That cream and jam were a great combo. Overall a worthwhile experience. I hope to come back to try their regular menu items.

On a sparsely traveled side street that separates the Target parking lot from the 91 freeway, is an attraction that will have you slamming on your brakes and craning your neck to see what the fuss is all about. The day we came, a Sunday afternoon, there were about 10 different, brightly colored trucks lined up along the curb, lights flashing, music blaring, and lines starting to form. You can park your car in the adjacent parking lot, there's plenty of room! Yes, this a very successful food truck according to Yelp. And by far the most patronized truck I saw that day. Inside the tiny galley kitchen are 4 hustling adults, including sweet Isabelle, the food ambassador of a husband and wife duo. I loved her enthusiasm and bright smile. At this point, I want to mention that Columbian taste buds are more finicky than many of their Central and South American brothers. So do not expect hot chile anything. Their palates prefer milder, not spicy foods, even though one of the sauces served with the empanadas was a garlicky, bright, herbal, oily sauce, not unlike the Argentinian chimichurri sauce. They call it aji (ah hē). I find it very addictive. Bandera Paisa - this is a combo plate that features a fat, Columbian chorizo (a non spicy sausage), a pile of moist shredded beef, a large strip of pork belly, white rice, Columbian red beans, a fried egg, avocado, and several pieces of fried sweet plantain. There is also one Cheese Arepa included. This dish can easily be shared by two and is a phenomenal deal and interesting taste adventure. Beef Arepa. This is basically a fried masa pocket substantially filled with their signature shredded beef, then topped with guacamole and white cheese. This is very similar to their beef empanadas, so I would encourage ordering one or the other, not both. It's big. Beef Empanadas (3). This is not your usual empanada. The generous beef filling is made from their sensational slow-cooked, flavorful shredded beef with a hint of corn and vegetables. The pastry is actually made of a coarse grained masa, formed into the traditional moon-shape, then deep-fried. It is heavier and far more filling than what I am accustomed to, but it has a chewy, coarse textured mouth appeal and rich flavor. One order is 3 empanadas. They offer an interesting variety of drinks, the most notable being their iced Columbian coffee (intensely rich, creamy, and sweetened) and a Passion Fruit Slushy that is an exotic fruity perfection. Both are pre-made and served out of a dispenser. Columbiana soda, plus other sodas and juices, are available in bottles and cans. The only downside is the seating. A few wooden tv trays and canvas folding chairs are set up on the uneven dirt adjacent to the sidewalk. It appears that using the sidewalk is off limits for seating. I loved their cute, vibrant Cuban music, but oftentimes it became overwhelming as it competed with another truck's equally loud Mexican music right next to them. That, and the seating, effectively convinced me that eating my food elsewhere was probably a better idea, even though sweet Isabelle was frequently checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our bill was really reasonable, considering the amount of food we had. It was approx. $42, and there was plenty to bring home for another day.
