Excellent job by Luke, Russ, and Shawn. I highly recommend this service to anyone who asks. The bid was VERY reasonable compared to another tree service I have used. I had a large red oak damaged by the ice storm of 2021. I also wanted a "hedge" of twenty-three large thirty-five year-old cypress trees removed with stumps ground down which was complicated by the fact that they had grown into a livestock fence. The job was to take four days, but an additional day was needed as the job was slowed due to one and a half days of snow (which they did work through). Everything was done according to the schedule Luke had set for the job. The communication was timely and friendly. I was happily surprised by how clean they left the site even blowing leaves off the lawn! I noticed also that Luke removed a ten-foot long fallen branch and trimmed the broken area on a maple tree it had fallen from. This was not part of the deal and the tree was a good 80 feet away from the job site. Luke said he just couldn't leave it like that. I got a pretty clear idea of their work ethic when I commented on how clean they left the overall job site. One of the crew replied with, "we treat your property as if it was our own". I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with Wever's Tree Service in order to have three trees removed on my property. One of the trees was a hazard as it was hanging over the house and was supported only by a very small tree in front of it. Luke Wever arrived for the appointment on time and spent over an hour discussing how each tree would be removed, the permit process required by the city of Portland and the clean-up afterwards including grinding of the stump. He gave me a fair and I thought very reasonable estimate of the cost involved. Wever's Tree Service handled the entire permit application and, as it was approved, Luke called to schedule a day to remove the trees. On that day, two of the trees were cut. The third, the hazardous tree, was cut about 3 days later because Luke decided it was safer to rent a lift; the tree was about to up-root because of the constant rain. I highly recommend Wever's Tree Service--they were efficient, responsive, knew what they were doing and cleaned up afterwards. They hauled away all of the debris and left the rounds, cut in short lengths and neatly stacked. Great job! read more

Luke and his team are the best! Absolute professionals from meeting with us and reviewing what we wanted, getting us an understandable no-nonsense quote, and following through on everything they said they would do. We had them remove 4 Cherry Trees at our home in Clackamas. One of the trees was actually on the fenceline which required them to work in the neighbor's yard dropping limbs and grinding the stumps. They treated the neighbor's property and ours with respect. His crew kept the disruption to a minimum and cleaned up everything better than what it looked like before they started. Luke's team showed up on time and got right to business. They worked clean, safe, and efficiently. They brought in heavy equipment that was the right stuff for the job and it's clear that they take care of their tools. During the stump grinding they put out portable barriers to protect from flying debris. Nice, safe and professional!! After having approximately 2/3rd's of a large 100 foot fir tree snap off and drop into our yard, we had a huge mess as a result that we needed help removing. We called 3-4 tree services to give us quotes. Luke had been referred to us by a friend so he was one that we contacted. Luke's quote was by far the most reasonable of everyone and the service that we picked. We were totally pleased with the service that was provided by him and his crew. They were cost effective, honest, efficient, friendly and through. They cut the tree into firewood lengths, plus split and stacked the wood for us, and cleaned up all the debris from the process. We also had them drop a couple of additional fir trees that were fairly close to the house. Luke dropped them perfectly into an open area without damaging additional landscape. Hard to find people this good anymore. Honest, reliable great work ethic, etc. What more can I say, guy does his own work and it's his business. Knows what he's doing, left everything immaculate, only cut what was asked. Has family scheduling and confirming appointments, so you can actually get a hold of them...what a novel idea. Out of four companies I contacted, this was the only guy who could come within a 4 month time frame. (He decided to schedule on a weekend so he could fit it in). We just had Luke and Troy out and we couldn't be more pleased. They did twice the work at half the price of the lowest bid we had gotten elsewhere. Luke took down two very large cedars, one of which was very close to the house and out buildings. He landed it perfectly just where he said he would. They also took out a bunch more smaller trees and even some overgrown bushes we asked about at the last minute. They did an amazing job of cleaning up afterward and our property looks great now. Wever's Tree Service is awesome! I couldn't have asked for anything more to be done on my property after they took down a tree. It was a walnut tree, so there were TONS of nuts everywhere. We're extremely satisfied with the skills and knowledge provided by Luke and his crew. We had a tree leaning directly at our house ready to go with the next gust of wind.
