I asked if they had anything available, and at first he said no, but then said depending on what I wanted he might be able to serve me. I asked for cinnamon sugar pretzels, but he said he couldn't make those, so I settled for regular pretzels instead. He did prepare them for me, and they were good and came with a cup of cheese for dipping. Afterward, I checked the posted hours online and saw that the store is listed as being open until 7 p.m. I completely understand that arriving 15 minutes before closing isn't ideal, but since they were technically still open and the sign was on, I was disappointed that I couldn't order what I actually came in for. I usually go to a different pretzel place and only came here because my usual spot was closed. I'm glad I was able to get something, and the pretzels themselves were good, but the experience was a little frustrating and left me disappointed.

We typically stop at the Pretzelmaker in Chesterfield Mall prior to seeing a movie at the AMC…read moreChesterfield cinema. When we began frequenting this Pretzelmaker in 2014, the pretzels were fresh (usually) and the staff was mostly friendly. The Mall has begun to lose a lot of tenants and the result is a lack of turnover in Pretzelmaker products. This means that the pretzels are often stale. I have requested that a fresh pretzel be made to no avail. The current manager is actually quite obstinate. He is unaware of their Rewards program as I have asked how the program works and what the rewards are more than once and left just as confused as when I approached the counter. On one occasion, there were no pretzels made and when I inquired when the pretzels would be ready, I was informed the dough was proofing. Seems short sighted that there are no pretzels whatsoever available. I contacted Pretzelmaker corporate office, explaining the lack of pretzels as well as my frustration that the manager is not educated on the Rewards program. Luckily, the corporate office responded. But their response was a request for my receipt to credit my rewards account. I had just clearly explained that there were no pretzels available to order. Hence, no receipt. I again pointed this out in my response back. They never contacted me again. Our last attempts at pretzel nirvana resulted in dry, hard pretzels. The last pretzel and pretzel bites under the warming lamp. Clearly upon first bite, these had been there quite a while. One positive to mention - the cheese sauce is good. Rich with a buttery finish. It's just a pretzel. It's not the end of the world. But I've given this establishment a number of opportunities to "get it right". With a corporate office that is no better than the lackey staff they employ, it's plain to see that simply isn't going to happen.

One girl that was on her phone and never even looked up (standing in the cookie area) and a guy who was working on Valentines Day pretzels. I walked by them to walk to the register. After 2 minutes, the guy acknowledged me but went about grabbing his pan for cookies. The female employee still didn't look up or acknowledge me. Another minute passed and she casually strolled over towards me while stating "we don't have any pretzels". I suppose that sums up how concerned they are about the business and their jobs. Poor customer service and no product to sell. The owner should be concerned.

That was Pretzel Stop for me. It's "cover" is quite worn and definitely has a lot of shelf wear, but don't let that deter you. Heads up: the interior is only open on the weekends. I was fortunate enough to hit the store at just the right time, as the pretzel bites were WARM. They were light, fluffy and simply perfectly baked. The outside had just the right amount of golden-brown crispness, while the inside was soft and fully cooked, without being doughy. They also nailed the salt level. I plopped mustard on almost every bite. Next time, I'll try the cheese. I wasn't expecting to be this impressed, but every bite was simply delicious.
