People dont post positive reviews enough. I don't go to the dentist because I have issues with getting num if I need work. So much so, i was put to sleep last time i needed a procedure. So it's been some years since I've been. Need to get some work done, I caught cavities in my remaining wisdom teeth. I recommend to come here from there sister branch in Avondale. Had a booked appointment with Dr.Dhillion. The here was very friendly and thorough, they even found an extra wisdom tooth hiding. The dental hygienist was very open with instructions and if I had concerns. Dr Dhillion was caring and RIDICULOUS fast and efficient. I almost felt bad for worrying. Seriously pick somewhere else. I went to two different locations. The first (Estrella) seemed fine, got a filling whatever. Filling kept hurting till the pain got unbearable. I had moved and went to the downtown office. The dentist there literally told me that it looked like whoever did the filling hadn't gotten all the decay out before putting the filing in so I needed a root canal as it was now infected. Went to an endodontist elsewhere to get that done. Came back for the crowns, they told me it looked like it was infected again and I would need a repeat root canal. They did nothing at that appointment but take X-rays and tell me that and of course charged me for that. Went back to the endo after crying because all of this is thousands of dollars after insurance. Endo told me it was too soon to be infected again and it looked like my gums where irritated from the temp crowns westwind had put in. The endo also filled down the temp crowns as they were too tall and causing my bite to misalign which was the other reason for the pain. The endo didn't even charge me for that appointment to fix things that they should have addressed. Additionally, after telling me they thought it was infected again they wouldn't give me antibiotics. So I do not understand why they wouldn't treat the issue they identified. After all of this, my permanent crowns were ready and I go in and it's a whole new dentist there. I'm assuming there was turnover. I doubt it's a fun place to work. Now months later I am also being harassed for treatment. They are using scare tactics to try and get me to come in for a cleaning. This is the worst dentist I have ever seen, hands down. I only went once for a cleaning and xrays in 2023, and they have made sure I regretted that choice ever since. They don't care if you say you don't want to come back and already have another dentist--they will keep calling every couple months to harass you about scheduling another appointment. On top of that, they've been harassing me for payment of my bill for *THREE YEARS*. I called my insurance twice to verify it was paid--they even gave me the check number and date they cashed it. Westwind is too incompetent to call the insurance company themselves and figure out that I don't owe them anything. They are too incompetent to keep track of the claims checks they have cashed, or maybe something shady is happening with their finances there--it's strange that they have no record of cashing it. Either way, I am blocking their number on my phone, because if not, they will continue to harass me. If you have the option to go to literally any other dentist, take it, because Westwind is absolutely horrible at what they do, from the services provided to the customer service received between visits. read more

I wish I had seen all these bad reviews before going to Westwind Dental. I was promised bridges and a beautiful smile if I spent $10.000.00. So far I have missing teeth they pulled, I can't eat, and the dentist at the Maryvale office dismissed me. I was then informed I couldn't have bridges but partials. After I was told I would have all permanent bridges. The reason for the work was because I wanted permanently affixed teeth. Their promises mean nothing. It's all about the mighty dollar and nothing else. Forget the patient who went in with teeth and has left without the ability to chew food, who cares? Not them!! They charged for procedures that they didn't do. They billed my insurance , received payment and then deducted the money again from the loan they suggested I get. This is fraud and they will be hearing from my attorney and I am going to the ADA on Drinkwater in Scottsdale to further file complaints against them. The worst. Don't go here, I have never had a worse medical or dental experience. In summary, I waited for a dental cap for ~ 3 months. I am writing to express my concern regarding the delay in obtaining my dental cap procedure. As a patient who relies on your expertise and care, I am disappointed by the prolonged wait I have experienced. In approximately February 2024, I had been fitted for a cap after one of my teeth cracked. I brought in the tooth and left it with the staff/dentist. Seems like an easy color match. Unfortunately, about 10 days later, I was shown the tooth in the poorly lit office and asked to sign a form that the tooth was "ok" by a dental assistant "student" who was going to school(?). It seemed like excessive pressure, so I took a look with better lighting and the tooth was many shades off. I was told that I would have a new tooth with the correct color with a "few days" for it will be a rush. It was over 2 months. I called and I am still waiting. After multiple wrong colors. I mean a yellow tooth! They would not let me look at the tooth until I paid in full. I refused for it was my only bargaining chip. Again this was escalated to a manager. For a while, I called every other day or texted the office but have given up. When I call, I am told we will call you back, and I never get a call back x 6 times. Ironically, I am being harassed for payment of services that were not done. They billed my insurance company and received payment then wanted my co-payment. I refused till services were done and I recommend the same to you if you are go to the dental company I escalated the situation and it took weeks to get a reply from a "manager". I was told no discount for my troubles and that the system had been "hacked". I asked if any important information had been hacked and management said "no" only information about my teeth. Really? since then I have had to cancel the credit card they had on file because of fraudulent activity. Perhaps coincidental? haha It was almost 3 months since my initial consultation, so I was asked to go to the "lab" 45 minutes away to match the color. The lab told me to return in a week to the lab to see if the color match. They blew that also and sent it to the office. I lost greater than 12 hours chasing them down, calling, going to the lab etc. to match a color of a tooth. There was never an offer to allow for a discount for my lost time and their errors, as I do in my medical practice which is down the road I was very dissatisfied with the ongoing service. It has been almost 3 months since my initial consultation, during which it was determined that I require a dental cap. While I understand that there may be factors contributing to scheduling constraints, the delay has caused me considerable inconvenience and discomfort. A temporary cap on a tooth should not be placed indefinitely. Going to this dental office was one of the worst decisions I have ever made and certainly the worst with regard to dental health. read more

i never give a review unless i actually hate an experience... with that being said, everything in this office is horrible! the dentists rush through everything. the assistants dont know what they're doing despite instruction. the staff talk about your teeth in the backrooms where you can STILL HEAR THEM. they are rough with your teeth. several times they didnt numb me enough and really didnt care to fix it despite my wincing. it is just an embarrassing establishment with less than mediocre work for the price of excellent work/service. they never answer the phone but also call and text you a million times before your appointment. the work is sloppy, you wont be happy with your results i promise. go to the sunnyslope location to be satisfied and feel that you got your moneys worth. dont waste your money here please. read more

Please save yourself the headache of expensive repairs of shoddy work and AVOID!!!!I went to the office in downtown Phoenix and had extensive work done by the owner Dr. Beyramian and spent several thousand dollars on crowns on my FRONT teeth and other work. When the first one broke a year later... I went to see her and she coldly informed me I would need a new one...without any offer of compensation (crowns just don't fall out!). It has been a nightmare since then and 8 other crowns are broken and or fell out. My teeth are ruined and these repairs will require implants. DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST They are not upfront about cost. They will give you a bill to sign and then a week later call you back and say just kidding. You actually owe us more than they will call and harass you and anyone else's phone number they have available until they get their payment. The dentist is very nice, but his work is not great. I had to root canals done and my wife just received cleanings but both times they called us back saying it had to be redone because they forgot steps or something like that. My daughter had a bridge put in and it's completely flat. It's not shaped like teeth at all. It's just a flat three tooth blob. Save your time and money. Front desk is rude and treats people poorly. The dental hygienist, the oral surgeon and office was staffed by professional caring people who knew their job and gave a hoot how they did it! I spoke with them over the phone and told them we had the X-rays and when we got there they said there was a fee I didn't even ask how much I told them that the operator said there would be. I Be no charge. And they immediately got Nasty. The dentist was ancient and kept saying that the snap in teeth were just like dentures. They were really rushed once they found out our budget which I already told the girl on phone when I made the appointment and it just got worse from there my son also had an infection and I had to ask for an antibiotic. At first she said no this is just a consultation. So you see a patient with several infected teeth and they wanted my son to come back for a full appointment to pay for a prescription for an antibiotic. Then they didn't want to be bothered with us once I told the doctor our budget and said that the implants were about 100,000 and were indignant when I said I couldn't even pay the list off in the timeframe I would have been paying over 1100.00 per month for 80 months not counting the interest and that there were two more spots to go to to get a quote. What a horrible place and u bet that the receptionist and others working there don't have 100,00. It's terrible to say but I can't wait until they can't afford to have there infected teeth taken care of and then be treated like dirt. read more

Andre Zargar cost me over $10,000 to correct this nightmare. I was in so much pain after my root canals and Zargars plan for care was to shave them down more and hope they would settle and the pain would subside. As a single mom of two this entire situation set me back beyond. I have a heart condition SVT, the infection from the file tip left in my canal caused my heart episodes to sky rocket to the point I had to get a loop recorder implanted in my chest. Only to find out the infection was causing episode's to happen more often and if I would have known about the infection sooner I wouldn't even need to have the loop recorder implanted. All in all it cost me thousands of dollars to have this corrected and I ended up losing the tooth completely and can not afford an implant. I have since had my loop recorder removed and my heart episodes back to "normal" with the infection gone. The board sided with zargar and gave him a non disciplinary class so that I would not be able to be reimbursed based on it being non disciplinary. Please don't get dental work done here! read more

After a very careful consideration I have decided to write a review for WESTWIND DENTAL, I had to capitalized the name because this review is not only for just this location but for WESTWIND in general. When I first started to take my children here, their rating was not that great, but I decided to give them a benefit of a doubt, I figured dentists are dentists, they all went to school and did their parts to become a medical professional, oh boy was I WRONG. As far as cleaning, X-RAY went, they were fine, later one they recommended my oldest to have jaw surgery due to severe underbite. We listened and started the journey. Long and costly but we expected that. What we did not expect was how UNORGANIZED, UNPREPARED, UNPROFESSIONAL WESTWINDS is. Jaw surgery requires perfect cooperation, coordination between the orthodontist and the surgeon, in my daughter's case, there was and still none. Her surgeon asked questions only her ortho can answer and he does not even know who this person is (they changed their orthodontist 3 times since my daughter started this journey). They keep NO records of what has been done and who they have referred their patients to. Bottom line, if you need a quick cleaning, by all means go here if it is convenient, if you need something bigger done, PLEASE LEARN FROM US AND SAVE YOURSELVES THE TROUBLES. read more

DON'T GO HERE. I began going to westwind about 3 years ago. I had fallen down the stairs at my apartment complex. They left tools in the stairs, and I didn't see them. I ended up breaking my wrist, toes, and a front tooth. Yes, i have a lawsuit. I went to several dentists, and I didn't think I would ever get my tooth fixed. I was upset and looked terrible. They talked me into getting a bridge but never explained the process. I was SCREAMING in the chair when they began shaving off my perfectly nice and healthy teeth.Then they talked me into another bridge, stating they would not match if I didn't. I had to take out a loan for $11,000.00. Since, my teeth are now sensitive to hot and cold. They never were before. My gums are all swollen front and back. The doctor put me on opiates to solve the problem. I'm getting hooked on these dam pills. This is not a fix! The bottom teeth (my real ones) hit the top of the fake teeth, causing irritation. I went in expecting that i needed a lot of work because i haven't been to a dentist in a while. The dentist was so nice and I felt comfortable with her. She told me that I pretty much had to pretty much crown my whole mouth as well as I had gum disease. $18k which didn't even include my WHOLE mouth. I decided to get a 2nd opinion, because that is a TON of money! I went to Risa Dental! NO GUM DISEASE! 3 tiny cavities and 2 crowns for chipped teeth from clenching when I sleep! $3k TOTAL.. I feel like this place is taking advantage of people! Its very upsetting! I cannot believe the difference in the 2nd opinion. I am so thankful that I got a 2nd opinion! It's hard to find a dentist office that works late hours and takes patients on Saturdays, well this place does both! For this alone they get a high five. They have a team of great doctors, recently had my wisdom teeth pulled out by Dr. Fehmi quickest extraction ever (5 mins max for both molars), and I was whisked out of there w minimal pain/soreness. Their rating doesn't reflect the overall experience I have had since coming here now 1.5 years. Keep up the great work guys! read more

It was my first time here and i have to say it surpassed my expectation. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and quickly given new patient paperwork to fill out. It was a pleasant surprise to be seen before my scheduled time. My overall experience was great, they were friendly and fast but at no point did I feel like they were compromising the quality of their work. My only suggestion would be to have a link sent via text message allowing new patients to fill their paper work out online to speed up the check in process. I would rather rip all my teeth (especially the ones they just "worked on") than have to deal with this place again. They lied about medication I was giving, lied about doing all of what they were suppose to (which they only got half done so they couldn't even actually do it right once) they then lied about the laughing gas working it didn't. They also lied about the numbing, because I was in SEVERE pain and they did not care at all. They ridiculed me the whole time I was in pain, and then just decided to not to all the work and make me come back to go through that again. I felt absolutely awful in fear, and in pain, while being mocked the whole time and I'm still suppose to come back. They also were suppose to take care of my mom's probably but she has had to come back over 5 times because they don't know how to make a tooth and keep it in. They don't know what they are doing, they don't care about their patients, they don't care about helping them through pain, the don't know how to tell the truth, they don't know how to do their job. This place has terrible customer service! I have been trying to get a refund for a month on money they took off my card and have had for over a year now for services I have never received. They give me the run around and put me on hold never picking my call back up! They told me that they would email my refund check to me and I could print it off myself?!?!? Before they do any work they want their money upfront but trying to get money they basically stole from me by charging my card for services I never received is nearly impossible! 7/20/22 and 8/10/22 at Westwind Dental Phoenix - Thunderbird , 5141W Thunderbird rd , Glendale AZ. I am not getting a refund for services I paid upfront for and they later got reimbursed by Met Life Dental . According to the Met life EOB statements and the billing receipts I should be getting $ 265.50 back. I called westwind 20 times since Sept 2022 and they been unwilling to discuss my account with me. They keep referring me to "regional" managers who never return my calls. For my wife on 7/20 I paid by cred card 747 for a crown which a week later westwind was reimbursed 334.50 by Met Life. Taking the 3 charges out (41 for oral eval & 15 for imaging on 7/20, and a later oral eval on 8/10 for 28 ) leaves 250.50 credit due back to me. For myself I have paid on 7/20 223.60 for a 98.60 previous balance and 125 lower right scaling on that day. Met Life later paid 52.50 for the Lower right scaling. On on 8/10 i had upper right scaling done which I owed dentist for 37.50 as met life paid 87.50 of the 125 charge . So the refund on myself should be 15 dollars. Therefore the total refund should be 265.60 on me and wife. Westwind only offer 65.50 saying on 4/4 phone call there were "other materials" that cut the refund. They never specified "other materials" in the claims to Met Life Dental. Westwind is engaging in insurance fraud in that they accepted working with Met Life Dental but are backdoor (clawback) charging me outside the EOB statements as reducing my refund. read more

During my 1st visit at this office, they requested my social security number when I arrived. I was upset and did not want to give it them since there is no reason they would need it, I gave them my ID and insurance card. They forced me to give them my social and said if I didn't they would have to bill me directly and not my insurance. I should have walked out but I proceeded. After I wrote down the number they put it on a piece of paper that followed me around the office for everyone to see! They did not keep it secure at all. I was very upset. Will not be coming back. Not only is this place is in a very sketchy area. I feel like all they want to do is sell you on everything they can. Brought my son in for a cleaning and to check on a tooth he thought he had chipped and myself only for a cleaning. I called in advance to set all of it up. They took us both back, didn't put me anywhere near my son. Proceeded to take x-rays with a dinosaur machine that caused a lot of pain and some bleeding. X-RAYS. I was then told the things I needed fixed and made me sit with some financial service person so she could sell me some plan that cost $1300. Did I mention I only wanted a cleaning? She acted offended when I told her I didn't want to her about her plan and I wasn't interested in purchasing more work that I was only there for a cleaning. I went back to the room I was in and was basically asked why I was still there. I said that my appointment was for a cleaning. I was then told they didn't have time to do a cleaning for me that day. I went and sat with my son who thankfully did get a cleaning. They didn't check the tooth at all. And then yet another trip to the financial advisor for work that I didn't request.
