DONT GO HERE I have never written a bad review before. If anything the only reviews I've wrote were 5 star ratings for dealerships I've worked with. If I could give Westway Ford zero stars I would. The past 3 days with them have been the worst experiences I've had buying a car in my entire life and I've purchased several cars across the entire metroplex. Salesman Zach O. was very unprofessional, untruthful and even confrontational. He flat out questioned my intelligence. Day 1 I came in to inquire about a used truck. I told Zach O. up front that I know I have a lot of negative equity. Almost half of which is refundable warranties for a car I only bought 7 months ago. I told him the dollar amount a month I was not going to go over and that I was not going to put anything down. If It was not going to be possible I told him that I didn't want to waste anyone's time. He went back and did the usual "see the manager" and I waited. One of the sales managers came out and told me the only way to make a deal would be for me to refund the warranties and sell my car to the dealership I originally bought it from. He said that they could make me a trade quote for the other dealership to match even though Westway Ford would not buy my trade from me at the price. Ensuring me that the Toyota dealership would buy it to have in their stock. I asked what about the rest of the negative equity and the sales manager explained that they would write me a check to give to the other dealer to cover the rest. I felt very uncomfortable about all of it. The sales manager then went to back and ran my credit to get a loan approval. Some time later Zach O. comes out and tells me that the GM will have to call the bank in the morning since its was so late. I asked if they would want me to go to my original dealer to refund the warranties and he told me to not do anything and he would contact me ASAP tomorrow morning. So I went home. Day 2 I wait no call or text. I text Zach a couple times throughout the day and nothing. I call late in the afternoon and speak to another salesman who told me Zach would call me. No call that night. Zero contact from anyone all day. I took this as a bad sign and text him saying that another dealership wanted to work with me if we couldn't work something out. Still nothing. Day 3 In the morning I get an alarm that my credit was run again so I text Zach to see what was going on. After a while he texts me back making excuses. Several hours later I get a text saying they got an approval. I called him and asked what bank it was with and what the payments would be because if it was TD Financial or the payment was $1 over what I originally told them I would not even leave the house. He said he would have to find out and let me know. I waiting a few hours and didn't hear anything so I called the finance department and they told me Zach would get me the information real soon. I waiting another several hours and called Zach. This time he answered. I asked him if he ever found out the bank and payment. He said the finance people are busy and told him I need to come in and the deal is ready. I told him ok, I'll trust you and made the hour drive. When I get there Zach goes to the back room and a few minutes later comes out with a sheet of paper that says a payment way over what I said and starts asking for me to put money down. I told him don't worry about it and the deal is off. He went to the back to see if he can make the deal any better, which I knew wasn't going happen. I waited anyways. Then all the sales floor leaves for a meeting in the back so I told the receptionist that I was leaving and walked out. I get to my truck and call my wife and I see Zach walk up to my door. I would not recommend anyone buy a car at Westway Ford. After owning mine less than 1 month, it has had multiple issues that should have been noted and addressed in the "172 point inspection" they claim to do on their pre-owned cars. Within the last month, I've been sold a car with dangerously overinflated tires, and the check engine light came on 2 weeks after purchase. After multiple attempts to reach out to Westway for assistance via phone, in person visits, and emails, they have either not responded or given me answers that any legitimate mechanic would find laughable. I discussed my concerns with Melina Gonzalez and Kyle Wenzel in person multiple times, and reached out to Dustin Egbers and Azalia Nava via email, and received no response from either. After receiving no support from the dealership, I took the car to an independent mechanic, who has estimated it will be at least $1000 to fix the issues with the car I just spent $17K on after Westway assured me that it was safe and in good working condition. I cannot emphasize how much I would caution anyone against buying a car here. My experience has been horrible, and Westway has made no effort to correct the issues caused by their oversight and negligence. Please learn from my experience. I am not someone to take time out of my day to write a negative review. This is literally my first time, but that's how bad my experience was at Westway Ford. I bought a 40k truck from Jackson. My check engine light came on after owning it for 2 weeks. I called several times asking about it and nobody would ever call me back. Then after 6 weeks of owning it, the driver side wheel started grinding like crazy and I pulled over and it was smoking and the wheel was at a 45 degree angle. The wheel bearing was completely shot and obviously not put on correctly. Even though Jackson and his brother Ryan pushed over and over again for 6 hours to get this warranty plan with the truck and I finally gave in and agreed just to get out of there because they promised me "if anything happens to the truck you're covered" well it took over 10 calls to finally get a call back and who would have guessed. None of it was covered. Jackson even had the audacity to say "you know with it being over 30 days of owning the truck, that is something that can happen with just normal wear and tear" I have had the truck for 6 weeks and have only driven it on the highway lmao. I should have listened to all the bad reviews that are littered everywhere about this dealership. I will never purchase from them again. There are many other things like nickel and dimeing me for an extra key because they didn't tell me until after I already signed the ppwk for a 40k+ vehicle that it only has one key, but I won't spend more of my time going into detail. Just know this is the worst experience I've ever had with any company not just a car dealership. Another $2,000 in recommended repairs that are bullshit and completely unnecessary in an attempt at fearing a non-technical customer into spending money they don't need to. Waiting 35 minutes for my car to show up because they said the battery was low. Which was not shown on the overpriced $170 diagnostic AND wasn't low when I brought it in. Service person would not explain any of the charges, would not offer escalation to management, would not reduce the costs in any fashion or match the prices and services at other dealerships. Traded for a certified 2020 F150. Next day I noticed engine making more noise than usual and it had a shimmy. Reset tire pressure, still shimmied. Had an occasional whine in rear. No jack or tools, no buyer tag receipt, no inspection receipt! Went back to trade back for my car and Kyle refused. Said he could only sell it back at a higher price! Went here with a friend to look for a mustang GT manual, associate that helped us was vaping outside the main entrance and by accident or not blew smoke at us as we walked up, furthermore when we were inside after telling her what he was looking for she came back with a completely different model of said car. While looking said car, she offered my friend, who's 16 and without a parent to test drive said vehicle, my friend declined and we got his keys and left. While walking back to our vehicle we saw her texting on her phone in the parking lot while driving before she floored it back into the Mustang lot and skidding the tires all while looking at her phone. I have ALWAYS lived in Collin County but have purchased EVERY Ford that I have driven from Westway Ford. If I am not mistaken, that would be 8 vehicles. So it was a "No Brainer" for me to drive from Anna to Irving. Before I headed that way, I called Westway, the day before and was able to talk to a Travis. He seemed nice enough, so we made plans to meet. He told me that he would call me on Saturday before I arrived. Well, he didn't call but I called him. He wasn't as nice as he was the day before and when I arrived, he never did materialize. I never got to meet him. Little did he know, I was prepared to purchase a unit THAT DAY and had my pre approval letter with me. MY Westway experience was NOTHING like it has been in the past. So I have been given this dealership a 5 star rating in one service experience in the past . I feel that every business deserves to know how they do in services and product promise in order to be successful . This review is consist of my overall purchase experience . I am a loyal Ford customer, this is my 4th Ford purchase mostly for service and promise and the dealerships commitment , this was the first purchase with Westway Ford . This dealership was not my first choice but I was willing to give them a chance! Salesman was a good individual , respectful and a good communicator, however, I did not find him to be able to deliver on the promises he made on services and product. We finally agreed on final price of the SUV over the phone including my trade in value, this is how I conduct business .They asked what I wanted for my trade and I was very fair with my trade price! My purchase condition was primarily based on agreed price and make sure car has 2 fob keys and I was replied " yes sir " - once I got there purchase price changed and went up by $2k due to a computer issues and updates‍ , also my trade value dropped by $500, this is after back and forth talks & waiting for 1.5 hour , talking to another manager who had no clue why he was there and what to talk about! he finally went back to discuss with owner and never came back ! (BTW my trade is now for sale at this dealership for $3.5k more which I am OK with . You do the math! ) - I got to finance dept after another hour waiting , I was provided with a contract that was overstated by $1K , I caught it and corrected and moved on ! - I asked from the start that I must have two fobs , replied "yes sir" off course , came to find out there is only one fob key & the only solution was go out and purchase it on your own ! Later found out the 2023 vehicle came without an owners manual too! Failure on service / product delivery promises ! - when I picked up the car , the vehicle was left on empty gas tank, contacted the salesman , he pulled his wallet and offered me a $20 bill (for a 20 gal tank) ! The car should have been filled up before delivery! I wasn't even in hurry to pickup the vehicle the same day ‍ These occurrences never happened in the history of my car buying ! At other dealership (grapevine ford ) when I purchased my last two SUV from , every promise they made were honored , I received 2 keys every time , gas was full on delivery , car was detailed and serviced ! there was even an cosmetic issue after one of my purchases and sales person honored it and repaired it . Once again , Westway salesman was bright , energetic, helpful and very respectful individual , however , he failed on delivering on every promise he made . Appeared to me that this dealership doesn't have solid processes in place, staff are there to just have you sign the dotted line with "empty promises" & get you out of there , you are on your own before and after !  that's the feeling I got from Westway ford ! Where do I start? Your dealership is a joke and a true scam. We went to Westway Ford last week to purchase a new 2020 Ford Escape. Found the exact one we wanted on your website, saw the internet price YOUR DEALERSHIP provided and headed that way. Paris showed us the car, took it for a drive and then went inside to talk numbers...before I get to that debacle, let me first say how unprofessional looking your staff was. About a dozen or so men and women standing around a bank of computers with loud music playing, themselves being extremely loud, many of them not wearing masks with take out food all over the tables... Your internet price for the car we wanted was $24,500 before TTL... Paris comes back wanting $31,000...we were outraged! There was an up charge of $4,800 for "tinted windows and some paint protection" We said no way we were paying that price, we want the internet price that was ON YOUR WEBSITE!!! He came back, said he could only take $1,000 of the $31,000 price... We got up and left immediately... We drove directly to Grapevine Ford and 2 hours and 15 minutes later, we were driving our brand new Ford Escape SEL home...paying the exact price we wanted, which was $5,000 LESS then your sham of a dealership wanted. I inquired about a 2022 lariat F150 that was on their lot and I have talked to the salesman several times and I was told that it was there, so I made my husband an appointment today to go see it. He drove an hour and a half to be told that it had been sold. Then the manager informed him. Oh no it's in the shop. It won't come out of drive. I would say that the salesman knew this. Never going back here. Short story: sales person stopped replying to me when I needed him to help me. Pushy and cold finance guy. Manager that seemed clueless. Multiple mistakes and it took over a week for me to just get one form filled out correctly. Long story: I went in recently to purchase a vehicle here. We were pre approved for an auto loan by USAA so we figured it would be a quick process since we weren't financing through the dealership. The Salesguy that helped us was great while we were there. He made us feel like it was totally cool if we wanted to use USAA but of course if they could get us to use them for financing they would. In the end we decided to still use USAA and we still had to talk to financing. We sent the dealer funding request form to the Salesguy so they could get the money from USAA but he said we still needed to sign a back up contract that way if for some reason USAA didn't fund the deal then they have another contract that would go into effect... for double the amount of interest. I signed it because there's no reason they shouldn't fund the deal as we were pre approved. Even USAA told me they shouldn't have done that since I have a pre approval letter and funding request form. In financing the guy was super cold and pushy. He wanted us to add on service contracts and I told him we didn't want to. He continued to try and push us to add on service contracts. He asked how we would afford it if our engine went out or something like that. At the end of the day that's for us to figure out not for us to explain to him. I also had my three week old daughter with us and really needed to get out of there, but he just kept prolonging things. The financing guy I was expecting to be pushy because that's basically his job, but he was unnecessarily cold and condescending. After we got home, I called USAA the next day to make sure that everything was sent in and good to go since they had that back up contract and I didn't want to pay double interest. Without explaining too much... They basically took over a week to get the document that I needed sent to USAA. I texted the sales guy multiple times, I called the front office, I talk to a manager... And then when they finally did send it, it was incorrect in two different places, I had to call back again with USAA on the line and the lady from USAA even told me that it seemed like they were trying to mess with us because they kept putting her on hold and dropping the call or just not answering. As you can see in the photos, the sales guy just stopped replying to me at one point even though when I talked to the front desk lady she told me he is the one that needed to take care of this document that I was asking for. Even when I talked to the manager, he seemed clueless after I had just explained everything. He was asking questions as if I didn't even explain anything to him... Questions like oh so you're trying to finance a car with us? When I just explained everything that was going on and was still just trying to get this form. It very much seemed like they were trying to get USAA to not fund the deal so they could finance it instead with the backup contract. So ridiculous. I would never go back here and do not recommend it to anyone. To top it all off I got a phone call today from fifth third bank telling me that they had just received a contract with my name on it... This is the bank that they put down on the form instead of USAA in the first place. So then I had to explain to this bank that whole situation as well and that they should not have the contract. I Just bought my first truck, an F150, from Westway Ford a little over a week ago. After I bought the truck I stumbled on yelp and read some of the reviews on Westway Ford. Most of the reviews were unfavorable and a couple really got my attention. Here is my story. I found the truck that I wanted on their website and did an online inquiry. Destiny Elliott sent me a video of the truck and invited me to come and see it. I called her and made the appointment. I stopped by on my way home from work. She was busy so James Rice took very good care of me. Showed me a couple of trucks since the one I wanted had a dead battery. Talked a little bit about price but I was not ready. No pressure whatsoever. Thank me for coming in and I went home. The next day I received a call from "Sunny" , one of the manages, and after a bit back and forth we agreed on a price over the phone and I agreed to come in on Saturday to finish the deal. Destiny had the truck pretty much ready. Unfortunately it was the wrong truck. Told her that it was the wrong truck and she rushed out to get the right truck. Went to look at it and again, it was the wrong truck. She apologized and said she will find the truck that I wanted. Maybe because those were the two trucks that I test drove, really don't know. Gave her the vin, she found the truck and it was the one I wanted. Now to the price. Took a little back and forth on the price, they were trying to increase the price from what "Sunny" and I had agreed over the phone. Got close enough for us to get an agreement. Was not the price agreed over the phone but it was close enough. I think I got a fair price. It took a little negotiation as expected. Did they try and switch cars. Well l, I test drove two different trucks because the one listed on the website, the one I wanted to see, had a dead battery. I had told Sunny which one was the one I wanted and I provided a picture from their website. Ryan Waldrop in Finance was a pretty cool guy. He did his thing sold me extended warranty and prepaid service. He explained everything, gave me different options and I did not feel any pressure to buy anything. Really no nonsense. Pretty straight forward and nothing fishy. Now for service. Yes service after one week. Software issue. There was something wrong with the Ford App. I couldn't start the truck with it. Called the number listed, tried to fix it, could not make it work. The rep gave me a code and told me to take the truck to the dealer. Dropped it off at 3:30 on 5/25. The next day I text my service rep for an update. Nothing. Text him again a few hours later. Nothing. Called and left a message. Nothing. This was starting to look like one of the reviews. Called again and actually talked to a young lady. Unfortunately did not write the name down. She went to find Jacob, my service rep, and told me that he would call me or text me as soon as he finished with a customer, which he did. The technician had not had a chance to look at it. They will look at it the next day 5/27. I text Jacob's the next day and he replied within the hour. My car was ready. They did not have to do anything, the technician checked the software and is up to date. The update might have been lagging. Pretty straight forward, no fees, no charges. Perfect They provided me with a similar vehicle for a loaner. Destiny and James we're really good. Attentive and. cordial. I give them 5 stars for their effort The only reason that I do not give an overall 5 rating is because they could have had the right truck and the paperwork ready for me. All I would have had to do is look at the truck and go to the finance office. I knew what i wanted, they had what I wanted and we -Sunny and I m- had a verbal agreement on the price. This place is a scam and should be shut down. Had a "new" 2024 Edge priced online at $28k after all the rebates. I asked multiple times if that price was legit before driving 2 hours to the dealership. I was told yes every time. I get to the dealership and go to drive it. There's a dent in the door and it had over 2,000 miles on it because it's a demo which was not told to us. When the actual price was given to us it was marked up $7k for add on's which consisted of tinted windows, wheel locks, door edge guards, and Zaktek guard that's supposed to protect the interior yet it was leather so not sure why it would have been needed. None of this was disclosed to us until they had already ran our credit and wanted to come back with a $900 a month payment. They are dishonest and the most crooked dealership I have ever done business with. We left and went to Grand Prairie Ford and bought one with 2 miles on it for $28k and that same package they had for $7k was $1295 and was also clearly marked on the sticker. Scammers alert!!!! We just wasted 4 hours at this scamming dealership. First of all they wanted to take a picture of my husband SN card which was super shady... we have 6 cars, stores and a house, we NEVER been asked to give a copy! We agreed on terms and signed with a salesman named James, suddenly they added 4000$ hidden fees for tinting windows and cleaning and whatever which was never mentioned!!! Watch out! First off, that sales person I dealt with (Ryan) is not to blame here. Here we go, I recently inquired on a new F-150 truck. Followed the process online, provided my contact info (which I hesitate to do, so I'm not inundated with calls, emails, texts). I received a prompt email from Ryan, along with a great video tour of the vehicle being inquired upon. I then received a separate email showing what is clearly stated to be the "sales price" of the vehicle, not MSRP, no addendums or "subject to's", just the "sales price". I then called Ryan in an attempt to schedule a time to coordinate a time to do a deal. Discussed my trade in, emailed my information on that, and so on. The process was on track, or so I thought. At the end of that call, I confirmed the "sales price" that was emailed to me. He said that couldn't be right. (Look at the picture included here) it's there clear as day. He said it would be more, I naturally was surprised. Market adjustments is the "cause" of a price difference, Ryan stated. My question was, "then why wasn't that accounted for in the communicated sales price"? He didn't know. I spoke with two managers on this and both stated the price would be different. Still confused, no one seems to care a "sales price" has been shown to me the customer.... Come to find out the actual sales price would be almost 15% (over $12,000 more) more than communicated to me, in writing. All other dealers I have spoken with have been very transparent in discussions on pricing over the years, especially as of late due to the changes in the market. Bait and switch appears to be the situation here. Low ball the client to get them on the line to come in, the switch up the narrative. Watch out! read more

This dealer has a Ford F-250 advertised for $80K. Called and they said price is $95K due to supply and demand. Price gouging 101. Next, I am a Ford member and have a Ford A/Z Plan pricing. This dealer will not accept Ford employees and their families under the Ford Employees discount. This dealership has been reported to Ford for price gouging and not honoring Ford's A/Z pan. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Inquired on cars.com about a brand new f-150, sales person helping me was Matt Munoz, everything went fine with him. The vehicle I inquired about was a f-150 price advertised as $28948, Matt did ask me to fill out a credit application and I told him I would not fill one out until I knew what the final numbers were going to be with taxes and licensing fees. I get an email from one of the managers saying that in order for me to get an out the door number I need to file a credit application, I've bought over 7 cars only being 27 years old and have never done a credit app prior to agreeing on final price. It gets better. After finally getting manager to give me a the final price, everything came out to be almost 37k with taxes and licensing fees. I thought that was absurd because taxes on a $29k vehicle shouldn't be $8k. Be aware that these people do add on a bunch of extra stuff to their vehicles without disclosing it on their own website! After discussing with the sales manager the details and how frustrated I was, they turned me off saying that we didn't make you happy in the first place because of the credit application incident, and that there was no reason to try to sell me a car because they were not gonna make me happy anyways. What a terrible way to talk to a customer. Be aware of these guys, they're not in business to help anybody but to make extra money, that's all. Stay away!!! read more

This dealership practices the typical scumbag lack of ethics. Everything is approved and ready to go for signing via email then once you show up, they conveniently do not remember anything that was said and agreed upon. They just tell you whatever they can to get you into the dealership. Because once you are there they can properly screw you over! This place sucks and is the reason why car dealerships have a bad rep. Never go here unless you want to see how scumbag dealership practices really work in person!!! Now this Dustin Egbers wants to pay me for my gas because he was as upset as myself . The problem with that is that NOBODY would of been upset if the deal was handled properly and approved likeI was informed it was, twice!! Its funny because when I called Grapevine Ford about the same exact car, they got back to me within an hour saying they couldn't do the deal. Honest and not wasting anyone's time or gas. But your dealership said i was pre-approved for the car and the deal was very do-able by a salesman and a manager. Not only told me this once, but twice! Don't trust these guys, they added almost $4000 in warranties I told them not to add. I purchased my f150 in January this year, first and foremost my sales guy (seemed more scammed than anything) wouldn't tell me the price until after he ran my credit had me waiting for 5-6 hours for a "bank response" oh well I know how the process goes exhaust the customer into submission Recommended warranties which I declined and was charged for anyways I requested the warranties be removed the first week of January and was told it would be handled fast forward to June and nothing happened Got back in touch with the finance director who was a really rude man acting as if it was a burden to audit old deals... oh well It is now September and the money still has not come off my loan Westway has officially ruined the chance of me ever visiting another full size dealership Carmax will be my new dealer of choice At least they will be honest and upfront read more
