I drive by this gem quite often and am sad it never pop up on my social feeds or no coworker has recommended it. I've been told, Atlanta is the wing capital but I've been highly let down, time and time again. Well, I decided to take a lunch break and stroll into Westside. After asking a few questions about how the pizza was prepped, I ordered the Jerk wings and a cheeseburger slice of pizza. I was reassured the slice of pizza was made to order. Next up was my drink, John gave me a couple suggestions. I end up going with the Shinty they had on tap. It was alright. Within 15 minutes, my food was being placed in from of me. I typically get a pic before taking a bite but it smelt amazing and was visually enticing. To my surprise the wings were piping hot and had great flavor. You must be forewarned, them wings was hot for at least 5-10 after they were brought out. They weren't the typical frozen extra skinny wings. They were meaty well seasoned. So far they the best wings I've had in all of Atlanta. The pizza wasn't NY style thst I like but it still was hitting on another level of deliciousness. There wasn't too much ground beef, there was a prefect distribution of red onion, pickles, and lettuce. No red sauce which made the slice that much better. I can't lie, from what I ate, and what I read on there menu, I will definitely be back to try their other wing sauces. To be truthful, I went back the next day and tried their lemon yaki sauce and a stromboli. The lemon yaki is a lemon pepper and Teriyaki blend. It was alright hit for me. So was the stromboli. I can't say that I won't try other wings out other places but these hands down are my favorite ti get when in Atlanta at the moment. A slice of pizza is $7, the whole pizzas go up from there. You can order 5 wings but you should just get 10 and get to different seasonings. For a wag of cost, a slice, order of 5 wings, and a beer came out to $24. Its a lot but it hit the spot for me. Westside Pizza is better than your chain pizza restaurants. And with that being said, I highly recommend you give them a visit. read more

Went their on Wednesday night and it was good. The margarita I ordered was good, although for the restaurant to be empty they took some time to prepare it. The food did come fast. We ordered mozzarella sticks and they were really good; the order comes with 8. And I had a cheese slice which was okay. Not wow. Just normal. I liked that it wasn't expensive. I met several friends here for a happy hour after work on a Wednesday. The location is on Marietta Blvd, about midway between I-285 and the edge of the GT campus, close to the new Reservoir Park. The shopping plaza had ample parking both in front and in back. They had 3 seating options - inside, outside under an awning, or in an adjacent breezeway leading to other businesses in the plaza. Given the hour and the lighting, we opted for the breezeway. The server was attentive and everyone got their drinks promptly. They apparently had a half-priced wine (by the bottle) deal on Wednesdays also. We all got various pizza options for dinner. Mine was a truffle variety, which I enjoyed. If you are in the area around dinner time and want to wait out the traffic, this is a good option. read more

I really want this place to be good. It's my local "pizza" joint. The atmosphere is great, prices are good, wings are good. Their trivia is fun and their beer choice is pretty solid. The thing I can't get over is just how bad the pizza is. The base is just awful and I think if they get that right this place would be way busier. It's flavorless, and has a texture similar to a frozen store bought pizza. Whenever we want pizza we will drive past it to go get something else from up the street right now which is a shame. This was my first time in here in probably 3 years, I'm just not often up this way. Love the new location on Marietta Blvd though! I stopped for lunch since I really wanted some wings and a beer. At 11:30 on a Wednesday, they were out of wings... Ended up have the lunch special lasagna, which was good, just not what I had my taste buds set for, haha Still love their beer menu, it's not huge, but there is always some obscure goodness on there to partake in and this visit was no exception. The chicken Dijon sandwich was good. Shoestring fries are never a bad decision. They do QR code menus and have a few TVs on inside. I learned about Westside Pizza through my office building were I have a couple of warehouses and offices. They bring pizza once a month for our business appreciation day. The pizza is always cold when it arrives, so we decided to give the store a shot in order to taste the pizza piping hot. When we arrived the owner/ manager although at the door, did not speak after being spoken to three times, as I thought he did not hear me. He was horrible and had a resting bitch face. The one and only waitress sat us and started badgering us about whether we had made up our minds on what we wanted to order. Honestly, we barely had time to look over the menu. We were surprised that they actually had more than pizza and decided to order something other than pizza. We asked her about the wings and she mentioned that they had citrus BBQ wings. I asked her what kind of citrus. I was hoping she said something like an orange glaze. She very rudely answered LEMON, as if that was the only citrus in the world. LOL The food took nearly an hour to arrive, when all we ordered was a salad, 10 wings and a sandwich. When we arrived there were only 3 people in the restaurant and they were all ,seated at one table. I could not understand why our food was taking so long. She never rtn'd to say, "Hey, your food would be up in 10 minutes" or anything. She kept going back to the bar and chatting and laughing with a guy seated there. When the food finally arrived. They left the lettuce and tomato off of the sandwich. She went to get them, put it down quickly on the table without saying a word and disappeared again. We needed napkins, as we were eating hot wings and the three she gave us were used. My son needed more ketchup, as they gave about three squirts in a small souffle cup and we need refills. She returned after the glasses were completely empty and the fries were too cold to eat. At this time, the others that were there when arrived had left long before. So, there was no excuse. She had a terrible, nice -nasty attitude and her service was below subpar. I could go on. But, I'll just say that I refuse to return to Westside Pizza. I come here often as my daughter has lessons down the street at DBats. I was completely ignored by the staff (not acknowledged or greeted). I even raised my hand like school kid. Then a family sat in front of me and was acknowledged (took beverage request). I got up to look for a manager or owner. Great location and clean. It seems like they just opened. Decor was sitting off in a corner waiting to be hung. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was EXTREMELY quiet. Which can be a pro or con depending on how you look at it. I personally thought it was odd as it's a sports bar. You couldn't hear any of the games on the TVs that were on. Our waiter was great and recommended the Chicken Santa Fe Pizza which was delicious. The spinach dip came out hot and bubbling. I wish the chips were a bit thicker so they didn't break so easily, but they chips alone were good too. I was apprehensive at first but I gave this place a try anyway. The food is pretty good. There were a lot of nice options to choose from but I narrowed it down to a calzone and Caesar salad. I ordered a to-go blackened jerk salad for my husband (he enjoyed his). My son and I ate outside. I will say we weren't greeted immediately and the whole seating arrangement was a little confusing initially. John took good care of us and even gave my screaming toddler a toy to calm him. I approached and realized I had passed this area before. The pizzeria was in a cool area with many other shops and eateries. There were plenty of places to park in the shared parking lot. Spaces were available in the front and rear of the property. I found a spot, entered and found the group of fellow beer lovers I was meeting. This was my first time visiting and quickly noticed the indoor seating area was a nice size that kind of gave me a Diner Decor vibe. They have a full bar and a very extensive beer menu you can access via QR code. It took me a few minutes to decide which beer I wanted. I advised the server that my favorite style was a good Hazy IPA. He advised they had the best Hazy and brought me a Ghost in the Machine, from Parish Brewing. I had tasted that one before and always enjoyed it. When it was time to order food, someone asked about the Margarita pizza and the server said it was their worst pizza. Unfortunately, our server was not the nicest. I think he was stressed because it was very busy. He even mentioned that there were 2 large groups and I believe he was covering both. Ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was not good. They used boneless chicken pieces and the marinara sauce wasnt appeasing to me.

We came early on a Sunday and had been sitting for about 10 min when a 6 top came in and sat behind us. Almost 40min in...the 6 top receives 3 pizzas and i had to hunt down manager and server to even see if our one pizza was on the way. They were understaffed and over sat. I tried Westside pizza for the 2nd time tonight and unfortunately it was even worse than the first time. I really wanted to like this place since it's in walking distance of my house. We ordered a large pepperoni for my husband, 2 kids and me. We were only able to eat 3.5 slices before being too grossed out to eat more. The dough was rubbery and chewy. The crust edges were as hard as a crouton and the cheese was dry and hard. It was as if the pizza was undercooked in the oven. Then left under a heating lamp all day.
