We visited here on a Friday night while they had live music and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant staff were all very friendly and super accommodating. The music consisted of a trumpet player and a jazz singer and they kept the building rocking with some melodic sounds. It was a bit loud in there, however, we were still able to have some conversation between vibing. The food was also delish! I had a pepperoni pizza that was sooo good! I also had a side of fries that were hot and crispy. My friend had the Shawty Meat Lover pizza, which she enjoyed and it looked amazing. The portion sizes were also good, as we both had leftovers. Our waitress, Whitney, was also the best. I'd recommend it for a chill Friday night vibe with some good food. read more

Twisted Pye - 10" Pepperoni Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Douglasville, Georgia

I visited Twisted Pye yesterday with a friend who had been there within the first 60 days of opening. He immediately mentioned that his previous experience was very different from what we encountered on Saturday (9/26/26). To start, the water situation was unclear. I could tell the water wasn't filtered, so I asked if they had bottled water -- they did not. The plastic cups and overall plastic presentation didn't match the aesthetic of the restaurant, which was surprising. We arrived around 2:30 PM, and they were out of more items than they should have been, especially considering grocery stores were still open. The oxtail egg rolls were unavailable. When ordering drinks, we were told twice that the flavors we wanted weren't available, so eventually I just asked for whatever they did have. On a positive note, Brianna, our waitress, was great. She gave solid recommendations and had a pleasant attitude throughout. The Bayou Pizza (Brianna recommended) was tasty and flavorful -- I would've liked spinach and more meat, but overall it was very good. The Oxtail Fries, however, I would not recommend. There were far more fries than meat, the oxtail itself was bland, and the pickled onions should have been diced instead of sliced. The establishment itself was clean, which I appreciated. read more

100% a hit everytime! From the King Pizza with allll the toppings, to the oxtail eggrolls, to the $5 happy hour after 9pm, you wont be disappointed! The food here is really good and the cocktails are always mixed deliciously. Service can be a tad slow when its super busy, but not to the point of running out of food or drinks while you wait. The have karaoke on Friday with hilarious hosts and $5 Crab Leg Mondays! The owner is very sweet and there is free parking! read more

Twisted Pye Kitchen & Cocktails is definitely a spot that brings something different to the table. The atmosphere immediately catches your attention with its stylish, modern esthetics and upscale lounge feel. It's the kind of place where the ambiance sets the tone before the food even arrives. The star of the meal for me was the Oxtail Pizza. This is not your ordinary pizza. The tender, slow-cooked oxtail paired with the bold flavors and unique toppings creates a combination that is creative, flavorful, and surprisingly cohesive. It takes familiar Southern and Caribbean-inspired flavors and gives them an unexpected twist on a pizza crust. The Rum Punch was another highlight. Smooth, flavorful, and perfectly suited for the atmosphere, it was the kind of cocktail that makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening. Overall, Twisted Pye delivers more than just food. It offers an experience. Between the creative menu, well-crafted cocktails, stylish esthetics, and lively social atmosphere, it feels like a place designed for good food, good conversations, and a night out. The Oxtail Pizza alone is worth trying, but the overall vibe is what makes the experience memorable. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're looking for something beyond the typical pizza and cocktail experience. The bartender was very friendly and the customer service was immaculate! read more

Food: Drinks are better than the food Service: Cool Ambiance: Offer an even better vibe on evening when they have something. I love Keith Sweat so, it hurts me to have to give this review a 2 stars. I have honestly tried to come here again, again & again but, like out of the 8 times I've come....sadly, the drinks always hit wayyy better than the food, I'll just keep this as my cocktail spot for now. Sorry KS! read more

Food on point, slow food deliver but server was great. Would have taken a pic but food was gone before I thought about it

The food and wings were great!!! The flavor combo and cook was perfect. Nice vibe and area but the service was not great. For management 1. My plate was served wet. Great for pizza right? I can use a napkin to dry it but it's an avoidable complaint. 2. I ordered 6 wings which is the appetizer and got 5. I told the staff and they said it's supposed to be 5. I showed them the menu and it says 6. I'm not going to argue about a wing so I told them they may want to fix the menu and let it go. Plot twist - My receipt said I was charged for 6 wings. 3. I needed a refill but staff weren't paying attention so I raw dogged my medication with the spirit of ice. Three staff were sitting together by the window. Never got the refill. I will be back but I will take it to go 120%. No hard feelings to the staff. It's a team effort and as a group the cook minus the wing counting is holding up the team. While the service was below par, I still tipped 25% because the food wasn't expensive and this economy sucks. read more

Very loud & unpleasant. I didn't even want to stay to try the food. Got an appetizer & regretted the entire experience.

This was my second visit to Twisted Pye. We came during happy hour and it wasn't busy. There was a dj playing and they had $5 specials. Our server was not attentive at all. We had to keep waving her down to get service. We ordered the 6 wing and fry special, the oxtail grilled cheese with truffle fries, and pepperoni pizza. Most of the food was good, but the pizza was just ok. We also got lemon drop and Hennessy margarita drink specials. The drinks were not good and poured out of a premade dispenser. read more

Twisted Pye - Oxtail Grilled Cheese - Pizza Near Me - Douglasville, Georgia

I really wanted this to be a good place. We are new to the area and wanted something that was closer to our home that could be a place we could go often. This isn't it. First when we walked in the door you think that it's going to be nice/upscale pizza place. Then you hear from a server that is about to end her shift that she "don't want no mo tables she's ready to go!" We tried to joke with the server and the hostess but just wasn't a friendly vibe to kick it off. But no biggie my wife and I were sat at a two top closest to the door. We would've preferred to sit further back since there were many open tables further back that wouldn't have caused us to deal with the cold draft every time someone came in the door. We got a fairly inexperienced server which is understandable , everybody starts somewhere. But she has inattentive, non engaging, and at times didn't know basic things about the menu. We arrived around 7:30 and things we wanted were already "sold out" for the day. I ordered the house Peach Old Fashion and she didn't know what liquor came in it and told me to pick which one I wanted. I did but to my displeasure we had a $4 up charge on our bill for a terribly mixed "old fashion". I've had many and by far this is the worse. But again hey we are here for the food so we ordered a pizza because what else would we order. We got the meat lovers and a side of Brussel sprout. The pizza came out and it looked like a pizza you could buy at a local grocery store and they popped it into the microwave. The sprouts came out and they just drizzled some balsamic over the top of it but also seemed to be just popped into the microwave. This "restaurant" was a major let down from the time we walked in and sat down, until we order our drinks, and even when we were there for what they do best. Our soft drinks were brought to us in kiddie cups, some dishes came in plastic and other in glass over just a very inconsistent vibe and bad service. read more

It's been a minute since I've came back to this place and I'm still thinking about the lemon drops. Hugh shout out to the bartender who made them because they were on point and hit the spot. Anyway to get to the food review. I came here for a friend's birthday gathering. She has frequent the place a couple of times. I decided to try their margarita pizza with their wings. Food was sooo good! I put so many ooo on the so on purpose. I can't wait to go back to the restaurant to try another one of their pizzas. You can also build or make your own pizza if you wish. Regardless of what you try you won't be disappointed. read more

I dined in at Twisted Pye on a Friday right before 6 PM. The restaurant is in the neighborhood with Tributary homes, and you want to make sure you choose free parking in the "retail" labeled spots that are adjacent to the restaurant and not "resident" labeled spots. While walking up, I noticed the patio with seating and tables and additional outdoor seating by the entrance, and thought that it may be nice to enjoy during those warm spring and fall days. Once inside, I went to the bar and Melanie was my server/bartender and she was great. It was Happy Hour & they had $5 lemon drops listed on their online menu, so I wanted to try one. Melanie let me know that they the lemon drops and hennessy margaritas were that price all day as a recent update! They were perfect as far as taste and strength. I ordered a few The happy hour menu had a few other $5 cocktails between 6 and 8 pm daily too. I had initially made a reservation for 2, but canceled it because I enjoyed the bar vibe & my husband arrived a bit after I did. The music included a nice blend of r&b hits from the 90s and 2000s. There were sports playing on the tvs. I ended up chatting with other people while at the bar and learned that the salads are pretty good & so are the pizza! One guest had the lemon pepper wings and she advised that they were a miss :( . Another regular let me know that the pizza and burgers were good, so I decided to try those. Once my husband arrived he decided on one of the $5 IPAs (Tropicalia) & we ordered our food. I decided on the cheese turkey burger with french fries and a hubby ordered a pizza *build your own* with chicken, red onions & pesto! The food was delicious. I loved the pizza & my burger & fries! This was my first time there and it made a great impression. I will be back :) read more

We dined at Twisted Pye again but this time on a Friday night. On their website it's list that they have live music on Fridays and Happy Hour until a certain time Well when we arrived there was no band and no happy hour. We asked about both and the waitress said the band "wasn't coming tonight" and that it was no longer happy hour even though the website say otherwise. We still enjoyed our BBQ and meat lovers pizza but the live music would have been nice to have. read more

The venture to this new spot in Douglasville was a mixed bag of experiences. First the wait time was shorter that stated, nice. The ambiance from the dining area, staff, and the live jazz was awesome. Now the food... appetizers we ordered were wings, buffalo style-mild sauce. They were a disaster!!!! Have were freshly cooked and the other half were overcooked and dry. Probably been sitting under a heat lamp. Someone added hot sauce to the dry ones to cover it. Sad! But the pizza, well that truly saved the food for the evening. We ordered the 10" Shawty which came out shortly after the wings and it was hot, fresh an awesome! The drinks were good as well as the service. If it wasn't for those dang wings I would have given this spot 5-stars, unfortunately I cannot at this time. I will return to try the brunch though. Overall this is a great date night spot!!! read more

Charita an her staff made my daughter engagement party amazing!! The food, service, drinks, etc was amazing!!!!

So, I've been to Twisted Pye about 4 times now and I've enjoyed it each time! The atmosphere and location is great! The staff is wonderful. My first time going Hydia was our server and I've asked for her each time since (she's amazing!). Here's what I've tried and loved: Shawty Pizza: It's soooooo good! And consistently good! Hot Honey Wings: I love wings and eat them regularly from different places. I thoroughly enjoy wings from TP. One of my visits were on a Sunday before 4 PM and they only offer brunch before 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. It was good although interesting to order a lobster omelette and shrimp & grits from a pizza place. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the brunch. read more

This is our second time here and I am enjoying this place so close to home on the south side of Atlanta, although it's in DGV. Sherita welcomed us and served us well. Their servers come with recommendations and that makes the selection easier when the menu looks so good. Our food has been fresh hot and tasty! The oxtail fries, Oxtail grilled cheese, and Brussels are my current faves. I have had the pizza, not a fan of the crust. But I'm a fan of Twisted Pye. read more

Wanted a cool place to chill, but instead didn't get any kind of welcoming service. First, I walked through the entrance seeing a sign that read "Wait to be Seated". Since this was my first time there, I wanted to know what my options were. 2 bartenders were behind the bar. They both see me but say nothing. I'm looking around trying to decide where I might want to sit. I stood there for about 2-3 mins, but felt longer, no greeting from anyone. No one showed up at the host entrance desk. One of the bartenders walked by me twice without even acknowledging me or even saying hello. I eventually walk to the bar n the other bartender gives me a 1 second fake smile and goes back to pouring drinks. I say "excuse me, am I suppose to seat myself?" She respond by asking if I needed to be seated. She gets the attention of the bartender that walked by me twice without a greeting. I looked around and saw hardly any food on the tables and concluded there was a long wait on food as well. I politely declined to be seated and left. read more

We went there because it had vegan options and seemed like a great place within an apartment community. Wrong! The short girl who finally greeted us acted like she was dumb and mute as she pointed to various places we could sit. When she took our order, we inquired about a vegan option, which she went to ask about herself. She came back and said, "We are out of every plant-based item on the menu". That means no burgers, no cauliflowers, and no pizzas. Why have them on the menu if you're out? This place was all around very disappointing. read more

Twisted Pye - Menu as of October 2025 - Pizza Near Me - Douglasville, Georgia

I'm pretty sure I had this place saved because of the unique toppings and creations for pizza but if you're looking for a place that's authentic neopolitan pizza this ain't it. I believe we ordered the largest "meat lovers" pizza but it didn't look that large. The dough is pretty thick and doughy. One of my slices was teeny tiny like if a child held there hands together to make a triangle or "The Roc" symbol. The pizza reminded me of a frozen DiGiorno pizza. Not a fan. read more

I absolutely love the location of this place! Very cute neighborhood restaurant! There's not much on Riverside, so it definitely brings some personality to the area. Being that it's a fairly new restaurant, I definitely give it grace, but the service was very lack. We basically had to beg for attention from the bartender as he was probably overwhelmed. My friend and I were out to brunch for a much-needed time, so we just sat and waited. The place was packed. Everyone was having a good time. I had the oxtail pizza, it was amazing. Very limited oxtail, which I was not surprised of. But it was still good. The drinks were good as well when we did get them. I think once an increase in staffing happens, this place will take off. I definitely will go back. The location just works for me! And I'm always gonna support local! read more

I met some friends here for dinner and we had a ball. We all chose different items to share and everyone was happy. The food was served hot and fresh. Our server was so helpful and kind. The space was super cute and the music playing was a whole vibe. You couldn't help singing along to your favorite songs. We did order drinks and they were delicious. They're located in an area where there is an apartment community and a few businesses, so parking was tricky. Since we were there at night all of the businesses were closed. I did keep checking on my car because I don't have time to get booted in Atlanta. Getting to the restaurant was tricky too because the road my GPS had me on were really dark at night. The oxtail pizza was so good and so were the wings. TP is always bitter sweet. It's convenient, a neighborhood spot we need on this side of town. They have switched things up several times, but since I last went, it's more events, different mgmt even hookah which I thought hey, why not. I always want to give them a chance. But they still don't "have it" together and it will be awhile until I return. The bitter... I waited 20 mins or so for an extra side of alfredo for the dry pasta. The manager evidently ended her evening early and decided to smoke a little hookey while I'm waiting for the sauce Than literally shouts across the bar, "I didn't forget you"! Ma'am, you did. Alfredo finally came, checked out and left. Got home, and the salmon I paid extra for was so dry with 0 seasoning I wouldn't feed it to my dog. I'm not understanding why it's so hard to receive good, professional service. Treat ppl the way you would want to be treated is a simple motto. For what it's worth, the young lady at the door was pleasant, and so was the bar manager. read more

Arrived at 5:30pm, 30 mins before end of Happy hour...double win. Ordered watermelon margarita and lemon drop (minimal simple syrup) they were decent! Much to others opinions. For $5 happy hour dang I am doing great boo! Brussel sprout appetizer...fried perfectly from initial review then once cut in half they were still 80% raw. Cutting in half and then frying will ensure maximum crispy skin to soak all that sauce up! We shared a wild mushroom pasta dish + chicken once again decent but sauce needs to be thicker and more flavorful. Cheese bread...OMG winner winner chicken dinner! Flavorful, moist but dry all at the same time so yummy! Next time warm up the marinara cold marinara is so last season! The end! read more

First time visiting Twisted Pye, as a former "Buffalonian" we critique Buffalo Wings to the 9th degree. Not a fan of the dark wings that were supposed to be mild, not sure if they added a BBQ sauce to them. The cheese/pepperoni pizza was great- nice crispy dough, but the cheese was not evenly distributed- IJS- I might go back for the pizza only in the future. James provided "Awesome" service which is why I rated with 4 stars, because for the wings alone it should be a 2- star rating. read more

Ordered my food(oxtail egg rolls)for her to come out 30 minutes later saying they ran out. So I ordered the Cajun Pasta and when that came out it was not good, chicken was cafeteria cube chicken, and cream sauce had separated so there was a layer of oil on top. Me, my spouse, and daughter recently attempted to dine at Twisted Pye, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us that she couldn't provide an estimated wait time for seating, which was frustrating and a little confusing. She encouraged us to order takeout instead. To our dismay, the takeout took over 40 minutes to prepare. Adding to the disappointment, their system failed to send a text notification, as promised, to inform us when our food was ready. I was standing outside the restaurant. The lack of communication and efficiency made for a very negative dine in attempt overall. One of the owners and other managers were sitting outside and I kindly shared my frustrations. The owner listened and seemed to care but did nothing to make it right. If he had extended anything to us to come back and earn their trust I'd probably be giving a 4 star. The good customer service is just lacking. I give a 3 star review because of the food. The cheese bread, pizza, and salad were good. I had high hopes for Twisted Pye, but I left feeling dissatisfied and won't return for a while. I hope they get better! read more
