I visited Atlanta last weekend, and my friend suggested that we try Stanley cigar bar. The parking lot was packed but the inside was spacious. There were several seating areas as well as a full bar and there were monitors playing the game. we sat at the bar and immediately the hostess came up to us and told us that the bartender would be with us shortly the bartender name was Coco. She was super attentive and she took care of us during our visit. Allie decided to just have a drink. I didn't enjoy a cigar, but I saw the humidor across from the bar. The guest in the bar all seem to be very nice and professional. The gentleman made you feel welcome and conversed without making you feel like they were trying to come on to you. I had quite a nice time but we were only stopping by after leaving a party, so the visit was brief.

Stanley's is definitely a nice, mature, sophisticated venue. They also have an outside patio. The set up is nice with comfy couch like single chairs with flat screens all round. The have a nice size humdior with various types of cigars. They also had a live DJ on the day we went which was on a Thursday. The bar area is huge it takes up the back of the venue. The person in the Humidor was not knowledgeable & did not offer much help with selecting cigars. A few things that I noticed are the flat screens are crooked, they do not have Cocktail specials and on this day they was not serving food. When I asked the server about a food she simply replied nonchalantly we dont have food tonight but I can give you chips & salsa. I was like HUH NO DAMN FOOD. Its shocking because this is a venue you come to smoke cigars & drink and you dont provide food is really UNACCEPTABLE. If I return I will make sure to eat before I arrive because we had actually left one venue because we knew they normally served food. Just be prepared to possibly not being able to eat, I'd advise to eat before you arrive. In addition, we purchased 4 cigars & 5 drinks which was over $200. Stanley's located in a shopping strip off of Camp Creek Parkway & Butner Rd. Parking: Free in parking lot Cover charge : didnt pay on this night not sure if they ever charge. I was actually going to rate 2 but after writing this review it is now 1 . When I go back I will update my review.

I went to the grand opening, Friday 10SEPT21 and it was amazing!!! Black Female owned restaurant / lounge!!! Best cigars in Atlanta! The southwest side needed a place like this; the owner Monica Coleman named the lounge after her grandfather, hence STANLEY. The music was great, the food was tasty and the place WASN'T all smokey if that makes sense (smile) I'll be going back every time I'm in the Atlanta area, the music on the first night was from Dee Jay Franchize and he killed it!!!

Great atmosphere and cigar selection. The alcoholic drink options are excellent. Had well made old fashion with my Alec Bradley cigar!!

Exclusive!!!! Do yourself a favor. Ask for the Mescal Mami. The owner introduced me to this drink and my lord I will be back each and every trip to Atl. On top of the abundance and great music the service is excellent and some of the best cigars and finely crafted drinks there is to find. I'm sure this place didn't need my help but frankly you can't help but to rave about this place. Cigars, booze and great music, give me more. The waitress are gorgeous and the food is just what you need. The drunken wings, vegetable spring rolls, sweet potato fries and regular fries are all outstanding. Meat falls off the bone. get them and you won't be disappointed. The fish is amazing and frankly you can't get the 1 without the other. Other drinks that I have had the margarita (818 tequila) and it will also have you good and ready. This is overall a great place to hang out smoke and chill and have a few drinks with your friends. I have visited a few location in Atl, this place has it all and more. I rarely will give a place 5 stars but I was fed, entertained and feeling good.

However, first…read moreit's kind of confusing because they have a valet person, but there's no clearly marked sign that says that you need to do ballet so he comes over to where we park and gave a valet ticket saying that the Hapeville police like to see a valet ticket. It was weird because when we left, he follows out the restaurant asking if we had a good time and then shared his cash app for a tip- but we never use the valet and a few people did. I recommend them having clear signage because we had to drive around to even see that there was a valet. The service was terrible, which is what took down the stars so much. It's frustrating when places have automatic gratuity when the service is not good. I am a very generous tipper however, I get frustrated when I'm forced to tip for bad service. She took about five minutes to even come over for us to even know that you were supposed to go online to get the menu. There's no QR code at the table to at least let guests know that they use that to view the menu. The crab dip was pretty good but they give like 5 small pieces of crostini and I when I asked for more it took like 20 minutes and there was an extra charge. The stuffed salmon was more so just topping and the piece of salmon was very small for the price. The drinks were expensive ($18) in comparison to the lack of liquor, it was very sugary and sweet. I felt frustrated by how slow the service was (I could see her on her phone or behind the bar chatting with colleagues) and she barely checked on us. I was so excited to try this place but never again. They have a lot of work to do to enhance the customer experience and value.

To start, my sister and I had the hella good and social cocktails and both were perfectly balanced. We had the mussels which were fantastic and the crabcake was phenomenal! It was seriously the best crab cake I've had in years - and we're from Maryland. The lamb was seasoned well and cooked to a perfect medium rare and the grits were to die for. The lobster fried rice was also super yummy! We also tried the espresso martini and the strawberry pearltini and those were both on point! Honestly, this was the first new restaurant I've tried in awhile where I was impressed by every dish and drink. Bonus is the prices were very reasonable for the quality! We will be back

Eggs and sausage with grits. Grits looked good. One ordered the crab cake, being from Baltimore I don't order crab cakes in ATL. It was good, just like the waiter said, however not MD standard. I'll say this, all crab meat seasoned no green peppers and onions so that was a plus. I might go back and try it again. It's a small restaurant. Music was soft.

The entrance code can be obtained from their website or local hotel concierges. Dial the number on the antique phone and the door magically opens. The staff super friendly and helpful. The bartenders are the best, clearly passionate about their work. I highly encourage you to try one or several of their signature cocktails. I sampled the Left Bank Martini and Vesper. As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. Lots of niche areas with couch reservations, pool table available. No time for a cigar but that is on my list when I return. Food available from their upstairs sister restaurant.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
