When you think you'll be going to your one stop shop for cigars in the Cumberland area but see that they moved away, you fire up the old Yelp and look for another place. When WiseAsh in Cumberland was no longer there, I had to find another place and I'm not about to go to the Battery for Rocky Patel's place. The selection there isn't that great for a noted lounge associated with Rocky Patel so I searched and found this place. Just off a little plaza off Paces Ferry on Atlanta Rd is this little corner cigar shop. Don't let the size of this place fool you, they did this little shop right! The inside is dark, moody with a tiny lounging area but what did it justice for me is their humidor! They have TWO!!! The first humidor has all your regulars from Alec Bradley to Drew Estates. Yes, they even have Ligas in stock (no Liga 9 though!!!!) Their second humidor seems to hold more of the premium sticks from Foundation to Ashton. Their prices are in fact pretty comparable with many of my favorite cigar joints. The guy that runs the place also is friendly, professional, courteous, and definitely a warm and inviting guy. If you need to restock your humidor, then this is the place you'll need to go if you're in the Cumberland/Smyrna/Vinings area! read more

Cigar Villa has quite the selection split between two humidor rooms. I'm just getting into the world of cigars. So CV's selection was quite daunting for me to navigate. It's a good problem to have as I try to stock up on sticks to age and learn more. I look forward to returning and picking up more as I explore my palate for cigars. read more

This location has a great array of cigars. There was also a seating area, unsure of the rules with it, but a couple people were there smoking cigars. I didn't get a chance to ask. It was a very quick in and out ordeal as I can't handle too much cigar smoke. I would be back if I were looking to purchase more as a gift. read more

Cigar Villa is one of the few cigar shops that I had not experienced in Atlanta, and I've been around cigars in Atlanta since the early 90's. So when the opportunity presented itself to stop in, check it out, get a few cigars, support a local business, I took it. But I will not do it again. Cigar shops have always been a gathering place for everyone. I learned that's not the case after I explored BOTH humidors in this shop. First, the condition of the cigars in the humidor sucked. Most sticks were as hard as tree branches, and the open leaf cigars were dry and cracking. I managed to find a few cigars: one humi-pack of Joyo's, and one single Ghurka that was passable. Upon paying, and then having a seat in a rather comfy chair, I heard raucous laughter coming from the back, and I asked the owner Jackie if there was yet another lounge, and she said to my pleasant surprise that yes there was another lounge. Then she said the following: "But that's where the black folk like to hang out, and they do not like the white folk back there. The white folk hang out in this lounge". That was all I needed to hear. Once I was done with my Ghurka, I left. And will never return. But I damn sure will tell anyone I know that's into cigars, that Cigar Villa in Smyrna is not a shop that's worth supporting. Especially considering the fact that the owners thinks that it's hilarious instead of pathetic. It's her business to run as she see's fit, more power to her; but in this day and age of decisiveness, and political correctness, this is not the type of behavior that is wise. read more

This particular shop has a lot of regulars, but the owners and staff are very welcoming. Good selection of cigars. The inventory is priced fairly and well kept. There is a little confusion because they have two separate humidors, which i missed the first time i came here. It is a comfortable, spacious shop. Large backroom with video games, front of store has usual couch setup. This is a fine shop to hang out at if you are in the Vinings area. Smoke up! read more

I've stopped at this shop with all eyes and ears open over the past few months and have come to find them friendly and informative. There is a small lounge in front and back with news and sports running on both televisions. I was impressed with the humor and have sat in the back lounge and front lounge which only separated by what is watched. This month I have spent more time and found that the owners are longtime friends with the Caucasian and African American customers. In fact I was a little perturbed on the earlier post review since a newcomer made an assumption and I believe has fabricated the information. I myself am African American and if I had any mixed feelings I would not have visited this nice niche and fine little establishment. I'm going to keep coming back that's for sure. read more

I read Brian O's review of Cigar Villa. I have been coming into this store for 25 years and I can tell you the owners are not racist. Yeah ,so what if AA guys like to sit back there and watch TV. It's because they like to watch other programming then is on in the front. As far as the quality of the cigars I have never found a hard stogie. If one is hard to draw due to it being over wrapped at the factory they will always give you a replacement for free. Everyone one who shops there gets a long very well. But the best thing about it is as a comfortable place will you can sit back have great conversations watch some sports and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. First and foremost, their humidor is overstocked and they have a lot of moldy cigars. Also, the presentation is pathetic, with old dust covered cigars laying all over the floor. Now for what really pissed me off: This store offered two different groupons. During the first deal, i purchased a groupon and used it and was satisfied. I was very excited to see a second groupon listed and quickly bought it and went in to redeem. Too much dismay, i was turned away because i had previously used another groupon at the store. I tried to explain to the clerk that the first groupon was a completely separate deal, and that the fine print listed 1 per person, however it did not say first time groupon users only. The clerk still would not accept it and told me to call groupon for a refund. I called groupon and explained the situation. They checked the deal's fine print and stated that since it did not say "first time users only" that the store should have honored it because, like i told the clerk, they were two SEPARATE deals. It is the stores fault for not listing that in the fine print, and they should be responsible for their mistake. This means accepting my groupon. However, since the store will not accept responsibility, groupon said that they would refund my money. read more

Bought a crappy propane lighter for $20 that is worth $5. When I tried to get the woman to fill it before I left the store she said it was was already full and if I overfilled it the gas would build up. She got me on a very bad moment; tired and sick, right off the airplane. I just wanted my sticks to smoke and buy the lighter I couldn't get through TSA. Thanks 911 was an inside job and had nothing to do with a guy dying on dialysis in a cave. Bldg 7 was a controlled demolition and no plane flew into the Pentagon. But I digress. I learned my lesson from this purchase. To listen to my gut and go with cheaper lighter that was just as good and not listen to this woman's dishonest sale's pitch. Huckster. read more

Walked in looking to buy a box of cigars for a golf outting, asked for a few suggestionsand was told buy the lady working there that she would be with me in minute. I walked into the humidor and waiting over 10 minutes while she sat in a chair smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee and watch Law and Order. I finally reminded here that I needed assistance and she replied "I'm coming, I just wanted to see what would on T.V.". She spent all of 45 seconds helping me and then went back to the recliner to watch T.V. I left and went to another local cigar shop where the staff was willing to help and make suggestions. This is the place to find good cigars. By the way, this place has been around for 19 yrs. Walk into the two large humidors in this place and get ready to take in the immense collection this place holds. Moldy cigars, no way, it's all plume, just walk up to it and rub it off and you'll see. Mold digs into a cigar. Plume means the oils are literally oozing out the stick because the humidity is perfect. Explore the place when you get there. I found great smokes that haven't been around for 8 years, then I found smokes that only special retailers get to carry like the Opus X line and not just one box but multiple just resting there! Folks these cigars are one of the rarest in the world. I dug around and bought two boxes of cigars, one from 2007 and another from 2009. No where else have I seen vintage boxes just resting on the shelves. 19 years of cigars, amazing experience and great smokes. Enjoy everybody. read more
