I went to the Pizza Spot on two different Saturdays and the experiences were different. The location is in a shared lot with Waffle House & Chevron. The first time we went was around 5:30 PM. Parking was plentiful and I was able to find a spot close to the restaurant entrance. We were able to pick a table and our server brought us menus right away. We ordered the twice baked chicken wings (Cajun flavor) and fries and a slice of pizza. Mine had jalepenos on it. The drink menu had daily specials so we opted for the $5 Teremana (I added pineapple juice) + $3 beer (Michelob). The twice baked wings were delicious, good flavor and crispy & my hubby raved about them for weeks after. The service was good & the food was great. It was not too crowded or noisy. On our most recent visit, we arrived right before 9 PM. The parking lot was full and we ended up parking closer to the Waffle House. I noticed that security began to check people as they entered around 9 PM. We were going to sit at a separate table but opted to join the "section" because we were there to join a relative that was celebrating her birthday. It was more crowded, louder in the space. There were tvs on to watch the basketball games. Because of this, service was slower. They were waiting for more guests to arrive. It took a moment to get the attention of the waitress so we could order food. This time, we opted for two sets of cajun twice baked wings, a classic pizza slice, one order of fries, sprite & ginger ales. The sprite tasted awful like their was a carbonation issue. I sent it back and swapped it out for Gingerale. It was slightly better but a little flat. The waitress ended up trying to make it better with a Sprite replacement once our food came out & it was a slight improvement. The twice baked wings were not as crispy this time around and came with fresh celery and ranch. The flavor was still good & they made great leftovers for lunch the next day. My pizza was too crispy. The fries were just okay. We were also charged gratuity of 18% automatically because we sat in with the section. The overall experience was okay. I would return only to have lunch or early dinner because the first experience was much better. The birthday girl enjoyed herself & it seemed to be a nice vibe for those in a celebration mood. read more

I used to live in this area and had no idea this gem was here! This is definitely not your typical pizza place--it has a DJ, hookah, and an overall lively vibe. My friend and I shared a pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. For drinks, I ordered a raspberry lemon drop, and he went with a Long Island. Both were so good that we had to order another round! There was a live roach CRAWLING ON our pizza and ruined our experience... Came to the pizza spot bc ppl talked about how good the food was. We ordered 2 slices of pizza (which Looked delicious) and 4 cocktails (which were pretty good) spent over $100 and the tip was already included. Our food and drinks came in a timely manner. Service was just okay and the roach crawling on our pizza was minimized. AND we were still charged for the pizza even though we had to send it back. When we told and showed the server the roach on the pizza she scooped up the roach with a napkin and took the pizza and that was the last me heard of it. Like I said after having a roach crawling on our pizza our entire experience was ruined only to see the same pizza we couldn't eat on our check... I stood waiting 40 mins to finally ​be acknowledged after being completely ignored by the five staff members I tried to talk to. One person eventually told me five more minutes , then 20 minutes later I tried to find out what was going on and everyone just refused to answer or even make eye contact with me. There's much to be desired here, especially in the service department. Those familiar with the Atlanta lounge scene know that they are heavy on hookah. This establishment is no different. That's fine, I guess, but if you advertise yourself as a pizza spot your featured item should be up to par. My companion ordered one slice of meat lovers pizza and I ordered a 6 piece wing. The pizza came out lukewarm and is a small, thin slice that looks like the frozen pizzas you get from the grocery store, not like you would expect from maybe a New York style pizza place . You would definitely have to order at least 2 slices to be decently satisfied, and that's on the conservative end. My wings took a long time to come out which would not have been an issue had the pizza and the wings come out about the same time. At least my wings were piping hot and fresh out of the grease when they got to my table but remember, my companion's pizza was lukewarm. The pizza should have gone under the warmer when my wings came out of the oil and both items would have been at an ideal temperature when they got to our table. From the looks of the establishment it appears to be fairly new so maybe they're still kind of getting their footing, but this is not anywhere I would go out of my way to come back to eat. This is a very nice hangout spot on a Friday or Saturday evening. The atmosphere is very chill. If you want to grab some affordable food, do a little hookah, and have some drinks while listening to great music this is the spot. The difference on the weekends is an entire vibe. However, if you want your food in a timely manner it isn't likely to happen. I have ordered my food to go several times and it always takes so long I'm not even hungry anymore. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but this was my second time visiting in the last month or so. Service was absolutely horrible both times. It takes forever for a waiter to take your order and bring you food or drinks. My first visit was on a Sunday and their were only two servers. Today it seem to be one server and it seemed to be too much for her to handle. We had to ask for our drinks we ordered and once received, they were watered down as if they had been sitting. My ranch wings came out before any drinks. I was hoping water would have been offered at this point but, no. Our pizza slices took so long that we requested them in to go boxes because at this point we were just ready to go home. Wings were good but extremely over price. 6 wings for $12. Pizza was just okay and as I stated before drinks were watered down. Oh and what made me ultimately give this place one star, because our waiter brought my paid receipt and it included 18% gratuity. The menu said 18% gratuity is only applied to parties of 5 or more or a check of $50 or more. We were a party of 3 and my check was like $43. And then it was only applied after my card was swiped it was not on the original receipt. Maybe she thought she would get less because she knew her service wasn't the best but it's not cool to steal tips. She actually hurt herself because I typically tip 20% minimum but I hope It was worth it because I definitely won't be returning at this point. Just a complete waste of money. I went for the first time and it was ok. I did appreciate that the security guard went and got a table for us, and made sure we were taken care of. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. When we finally got our drink orders taken it took forever to receive them. Like we were better off going up to the bar and receiving them faster than placing an order with our waitress. I ordered a salad to go and was irritated when I got home, as my salad was entirely wrong. The fact it was still wrong after the waitress came back and clarified with me what I wanted was the frustrating part. I asked for a house salad with no olives, add chicken, and with balsamic dressing. I ended up with the chef salad which I didn't want because it has ham on it in which I don't eat and on top of that, there were olives on the salad. My dressing also was missing. I ended up having to pick all the ham off and olives today when I ate the salad which sucked. I've had the house salad before with the balsamic dressing and I enjoyed it, but the salad I received was a disappointment and I didn't enjoy it. I basically made myself eat it. Service is not the greatest and you may have to wait a while to be served. They start playing uncensored music as soon as it gets dark so I would not advise bringing your children here to eat. They have no rules for the music they play or what the servers wear. 18 and up only. read more

Been a few times and have never been wowed but the customer service. I go for the pizza. If possible I will order to go to avoid the service as much as possible. They tend to run out quickly or I have even experienced when they have shut the kitchen down early while there were several people in the bar. I would most likely drive past here for another pizza restaurant but it does have a convenient location. This is my favorite place in the neighborhood! It's a place to come on the weekend for loud music and fine bartenders. The pizza is number one in the area.
