    Open dance floor

I visited for a friend's birthday party. The space is large and there weren't many people on this particular Sunday night. There was no cover (or at least not while I was there) and just one lady working "security". The bar was full, but my friend had tables reserved near the dance floor. The group had ordered wings and drinks. By the time I wanted to order however, the kitchen was closed (10pm). I ordered a Bob Marley pitcher ($10) but the server forgot about it and so I didn't get it until about 10:30. The DJ was pretty good...played a lot of classics...honestly it's an older crowd hitting the dance floor anyway. There were even some brave souls that sang karaoke. The music was promptly ended at 11pm. Lights on and bar closed, there was really no point in lingering. Over all I had a good time celebrating with my friend, but I don't think I will venture back to this lounge again.

My family and I decided to check out this place on Sunday evening since they had just opened 2 days before. To our suprise it was mexican-american food, the place is pretty big and has a good size dance floor. The decor is really nice. We had the lemon pepper wing appetizer, family really enjoyed them. They gave us each a ceviche tostada which were really good. I had the grilled lemon chicken, it was quite good it needed more seasoning to my taste, enjoyed the potatoes, rice was good. My husband had the Mojarra Frita he said he enjoyed it. My daughter had the grilled chicken salad, she said it was good. Carne Asada and Chicken Flautas for my other 2 girls, they said it was really good. We will be back.... Our server Magnolia was great!!!!!

No premium alcohol. Food is average. Quaint spot for neighbors over 40 yrs of age. I would not frequent this spot.

First impression visit. Party of 12. 5:30PM on a Saturday…read more Free parking lot! No validation required. Easy to park. We ordered the crab cake, rockafeller oysters, Calamari, fried whiting with corn and coleslaw, fried oysters with Zucchini fries and fried corn, crab legs, and salmon with cajun rice and fried corn. I paid for everything except the calamari and the fried oysters and my total was $92.91 before tip. Pros There was music playing. Enough to hear and dance to but can still have a conversation. The environment and contemporary decor is nice. The service was great. Our waiter, Dashawn, is kind and attentive. He made us feel like we were his only table, which is hard to do with a large party. He was always there when a drink was needed and we never waited too long before he would show up again to ask if everything was okay. The food is good. My salmon was grilled perfectly and the portion sizes on the fried fish are huge. On the fried whiting, we received 3 fried fillets as long as the plate along with the 2 sides. The fried corn was interesting and I thought it was delicious. It gave a savory crunch to the sweet corn inside and the coating wasn't too thick. Cons 20% gratuity on all tables AND to go orders. Please note there are rules with this establishment. The calamari was seasoned very well but it wasn't as hot as I thought it should be. It was warm- not cold but not hot. The cajun rice was again, seasoned very well, but it left a puddle of grease on my plate. You can see it in my pictures on the right side of the salmon. 10. Would I Recommend: Yes, just be aware of the rules and tipping policy. Ask for Dashawn, if available. Follow me here on Yelp and @jessreviewss on Tik Tok/Instagram for more.

I wanted catfish, white bread, yellow rice, 3 pieces of fried shrimp and a wing... LMAO specific I know. But I got 2 pieces of catfish on white bread w yellow rice, 6 pieces of fried shrimp and 3 whole wings with 4 hush puppies... THE BACK IS BIG GUYS... But these were the quantities that could be ordered... I split it into to two meals and zested it up... The rice couldve used more seasoning, BUT I was home so I added it, HA... 2 perfect meals lol. $30. I went the the drive through and the service took forever! But I also think the van in front of me bought the whole kitchen because theirs took forever and looked like a family family dinner order... And I wasn't mad it is all cooked fresh. The inside had people sitting so you can dine in... But I was looking forward to laying accross my bed sniper style... The plate didnt stand a chance!

The empty parking lot should have been my clue. I grew up in SW Atl westend and remember Yasin fish on Abernathy which has been Ameen's Fish for a while now. Although it was not Yasin, it was not bad. Well the Ameens Fish on Veterans Pkwy more specifically the perch and flounder was a hot mess. The tasteless perch was fried in tasteless batter super hard with the fish being hard and awful. The founder only redeemable quality was it had some taste and the batter was better. The sides of red beans & rice and onion rings had some of a taste when doused in hot sauce and tartar sauce. The hushpuppies were delicious. I should have just waited for Bay Breeze who never disappoint The score is a 0

I started asking questions about this and that and he answered every question with a smile on his face, letting me know his favorites, best sellers, etc. I chose the Cajun pasta with chicken and added shrimp, slice of garlic bread and a big ole piece of chocolate cake, washed down with a Cherry Coke and let me tell you...it was the best meal I've had in Atlanta! This was my first time stopping in here, but I've been to the ATL a bunch through the years, from high end to hole in the wall places, North to South of the city, but I'll be stopping in here again on my next time through. Located about 10 minutes from the airport it was perfect to grab dinner to go on my way to my hotel. The gentleman and I talked travel, food, football as I waited and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation but what I didn't know was his wife was kicking up some of the best Cajun pasta I've ever eaten! Sorry man, she is the star of the show! I had perfectly cooked shrimp, mixed it with a hearty portion of chicken but the Cajun sauce was perfection. I soaked up perfectly with the garlic bread for an incredible feast! Thank you for welcoming me in and making my last meal in ATL memorable. Until next time!
