I bought my first road bike last year ( 2006 Kawasaki 250 R Ninja, with a little over 4 thousand miles on it, the previous owner had kept it in his garage, drained of gas but not started in 5 years, needless to say there were issues with it and i had to have alot of work done to it outside of the norm, i can say that the mechanics got the bike running like a champ !! I can finally enjoy it and be confident it wont break down everyday i ride it because of sitting for so long from the person i bought it from . I bought a dirt bike from Westside Motorsports, and I am crazy excited. It's getting delivered next week. The whole process started with just one phone call. I left a message, and it wasn't long until I heard back from Jesse. I wanted a dual sport. So at first I was very insistent on getting the KLX300 dual sport because it was already street legal and ready to go. It turned out though that the wait was going to be very long for next year's models to arrive, and this year's models were sold probably last year. The demand for these bikes is insane! They had plenty of new 450 off roads, I think it was the KX450f and other brands as well. I just particularly wanted a Kawasaki. I told Jesse that the 450 sounded good except that it isn't a street legal bike. My neighbor rides and told me that I wanted it to be street legal if I wanted to ride in the mountains on dirt roads or on any roads to avoid legal problems. My neighbor also said that once I got used to the 300, I would sure wish I had more power. So I told Jesse what my neighbor and I were talking about, and he had an idea to make the KX450f street legal for me with a kit. Also, I couldn't afford a brand new KX450f, but Jesse helped me find a bike that is only 1 year old on trade in at a price I could pay. Some of the parts for the street legal kit came right away. Others took some time. Remember that in a covid environment, shipments can be delayed. But Jesse stuck with me through the whole process and helped me get the bike of my dreams. I am so excited, but promise to take it easy until I get used to it. Cheers! The service center is subpar. Zero ownership and makes deadlines they can't meet. They don't follow up with the consumer when the deadlines won't be met and then are aggressive when the consumer calls to get an update. 1) if the service center is going to give a deadline meet it, if they can't they should follow up and let the consumer know that they can't meet it. 2) they shouldn't treat consumers negatively if they call to follow up on a deadline that they communicated. Not only was the deadline not met but they ordered the wrong parts. Place seems like a mess. Wouldn't recommend this place for business. read more

I have been a multiple BMW motorcycle owner for many years. I recently moved to Spokane, and this is the worst service department I have ever experienced. They charged double for a first valve check on my R1200GSA because their "policy" was to replace the (reusable) valve cover gaskets. After every valve check I have ever had, I have received a copy of the check sheet so I knew my clearances. They never provided the very thing I paid for - to know my valve clearances. I made numerous calls and either no one answered or they would take a message and never call me back. I will never buy a bike from this outfit, and I would never have them do any kind of service work again. read more

I was looking for a place to take my Yamaha Yzf R3 regularly so they get to know the bike. They straighten my front stay mount. The one welded to the frame. Also removed a broken stud on the motor. Fairings are all straight with new screws. No wait time because I didn't need any parts and brought it fairings stripped. I got it back in 5 days 320$. Richard is the guy to talk to. I inquired about an estimate for my 2000 BMW R1100S, to get the throttle bodies synced and valves adjusted, and was initially dismissed that they preferred not to service bikes more than 10 years old. When I informed them that it was essentially a basic service that would be done on any BMW "R" motor they agreed bike, I was told it would be about 90 minutes labor and tops a couple of spark plugs. A couple of days later I dropped the bike off and was given an estimate of 4 shop hours to perform the labor, when I told them the original estimate of 90 minutes, they told me it was a "Time Management" thing and agreed it would be less and the final bill would reflex the actual hours spent on the bike. It was at this point I should have left with my bike, but I didn't! Fast forward 6 days and I get a call that the final bill is $504 ($364 Labor, $140 Parts) When I questioned the 4 hours of labor, he was able to adjust off $50 immediately. I was also informed that in removing the valve cover they stripped a bolt that resulted in a drill and tap to repair the damages. The last time I brought it in they put a 3" scratch on my tank that they politely knocked $50 off my bill (cost $200 to repair and repaint) I read the reviews people posted and thought they were isolated or just bad luck, but I can clearly see that Westside does not value its service customers. After being told one price for an oil change and then being charged a higher price . . . at that point there was nothing I could do. Service performed took way longer than it should have and for a simple reading of fuel pressure check cost $56 and should have been $20 for a 5 minute procedure. After being told the charge would be for exactly the time that it took . . . no way should it take 20 minutes to check the pressure. After speaking with service manager about the discrepancy he had no answer about the additional charge. Will never use this business in the future. read more

Very positive experience. I went to Westside on a very snowy day on purpose. I wanted to test drive a couple of different side by sides and figured that horrible weather would be the perfect test. I was introduced to my salesman, Nate, who eagerly helped me out. Nate went out of his way to dig four machines out of the snow so I could drive them. He even provided me with a helmet and gloves. With each question he had an answer or admitted not knowing and made sure to find out the answer. The following week I returned to the dealership so that my wife could drive the side by side machines I had narrowed down. Again we were helped by Nate who was patient throughout the process. In the end we purchased a Polaris Ranger 570 SXS at what I feel was a reasonable price. Westside even gave us a military discount. When shopping for a side by side a few years ago... I literally went to EVERY dealer in Greater Spokane, as far as CDA... At each dealership I was obviously shopping for price, but more so the dealership, customer service, backing and support of product they sell, etc. I decided on Westside for my first purchase. Their product knowledge, experience, technicians, parts department, and their salesman over all. It was a great buying experience overall. I have since purchased another side by side from them, and it was a painless process as well! I was just in there the other day, getting things ready for summer... I needed a $6 part, and was treated with the same professionalism and respect as when I was buying my quads! Highly recommended in my book. read more

Let me start out by saying Westside Motorsports is Awesome! I rarely leave reviews but this experience was one I have to share with everyone. From our first step onto the dealership we were met with a welcoming smile and a firm handshake from our sales rep Griffin. He was great! He showed us the various options of ATV's, the pro's and cons of each trim and model and help us find exactly what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable but not once pushy like some dealerships reps are. He listend to what we were looking for in an ATV and once we narrowed it down to a couple of models, Griffin let us test drive each of them on thier private offroad track. It was here that you could see and feel the difference between the various options. As we moved through the sales process, all the employees were curteous and professional. They made the atv buying process a cinch. I can't reccomend these guys enough. If you need an ATV, side x side, or snow machine, you owe it to yourself to check these guys out. I took my BMW K1600GTL in for repairs after hitting a deer. It took them over a month to do the estimate. Then they included things they were specifically told not to include which put the estimate high enough for a total. I had to argue with them and insurance to get the estimate revised. After being assured the repair is complete I get there to find a very dirty bike. I ride it home then find out the horn doesn't work. Bad weather required me to rent a trailer and drive 2-1/2 hours for them to correct the issue. Then the bike quit charging so having lost trust in the repair, I purchased a repair manual and tore the bike apart myself. I discovered missing hardware, damaged seals. After 3 hours, I got to the alternator and found the nut holding the battery cable barely finger tight. The nut on the starter was the same. I don't know how it ever started or charged after the repair. I sent a message with pictures but have not gotten a response. They took the insurance money and left me hanging. Never again. I strongly suggest you find another dealer for repairs. read more

I'm currently travelling through the US on a BMW S1000rr. This morning I kicked her over to find warning lights on all over the place. Not knowing what was wrong and still with another 2,000 miles to go, I called the guys at Westside and although they had a full workload on today, they told me to bring her in and they'd look at her straight away. Wow....I couldn't have had better service from their two brilliant guys Kevin and Alex. Even though they were flat out they squeezed me in and did a full diagnostic to find out the problem and to solve it. They were both brilliant - helpful, understanding of the challenges of someone travelling through, supportive and thorough. Used them again recently to repair my 2009 Ski-doo's. On one sled, with an 800 Ptek engine it was flooding. I also had a worn thottle cable that needed replacement. They rebuilt the carburetors replacing the worn components. The fuel pump was also faulty and was replaced as well. The throttle cable was also replaced. Took the sled out on 3/28 and rode it almost 70 miles. It ran flawlessly. My other sled is a 600 etec. The diagnosed problem was an electrical system voltage problem that pointed to the computer. They replaced the computer but there was still some difficulty. Further troubleshooting and consultation with tech at ski-doo pointed to a possible stator problem as well. They replaced the stator, then reinstalled my original computer. The sled ran fine. Took it out and rode with my wife on 3/28 and it ran smoothly and without problems. Nice thing here is their mechanic, Mark Cunningham knows his stuff. He's not just a parts changer. They took the time to verify that my original computer was o.k. And saved me quite a sum of money. Getting your modern sled fixed here won't be cheap. Getting power sports equipment fixed is similar to getting your car fixed. Nice thing with this shop is I've been there three times now and they get it right every time.. The service writer, Grant Rockfellow was courteous and friendly and was able to give me competent updates as the repair progressed. Thanks Westside:) read more

Worst customer service time and time again. Over the past 3 years we have tired to come here, many times to purchase a bike. We waited an hour for someone to talk to us. When they did they were rude, stuck up, and did not know a damn thing about what they were talking about. We went there today 5/7/16, thinking maybe it had changed and clutch lever broke on the way out West.... and once again they proved their customer service is awful!!!! I have ridden motorcycles since 1962 and have done business with, as you might guess, many different shops. The service I experienced at West Side Motorsports that was difficult and time consuming to say the least set a new standard for me. Without going deeply into the details, my bike had some serious issues with the shaft drive that were compounded by supply problems we have noted across the board (you guesses it- COVID-19). The parts department said they could not get the required parts from the maker (I located them from a parts house). Once all the parts were assembled, winter had set in and the folks there kindly put my bike in their storage facility over the winter until I recovered it this spring. I will continue to do business with these folks and could not recommend them higher. read more

I have previously used this dealer for tune ups and was happy but unfortunately their service department has gone to heck. Took my motorcycle in during November as it would not start. Also asked them do a tune up. I finally got the bike back in May. They could not tell me what had been done as people had been fired, etc. It did start and I could tell the oil was changed but rides terrible. Have to keep the choke out all the way or it dies. Good thing is they did not charge me but I still can't ride and now need to find a mechanic that can actually fix it. read more

I'm going to preface my recent experience with our first encounter in 2014. Wife decided on buying a F700 GS Low so she could join me on FS roads. Sales guy was pleasant, and knowledgable. Sale went great until we get home and go to insure her new toy. The VIN on the paperwork says it's an F800 and is red. Hmmmm hang up with insurer and go check the bikes VIN. Well lookie there, the paperwork doesn't match the bike's VIN. Call dealer back and initially they implied we would have to resubmit new paperwork to the state at our expense. Long story short, they fixed it, no charge. Everybody makes mistakes. Fast forward to this year 2017. I'm planning some vacation rides with my wife. I need to get her chain and Sprockets replaced (normal wear). I call Westside and schedule an appointment. 1.5-2 hour job I'm told, and they will get the parts ordered and see me in two weeks. I haul the bike 100 miles and arrive a good hour early. I'm told by service girl "You're gonna leave it, right?" Ummmm yeah I kind of have to so you can fix it. No, they "have a guy traveling whose bike came in on a tow truck and they're all working to get him out". So "could I come back like tomorrow or the next day" for my 1.5-2 hour fix. Uhhh no... I'll wait. Then I'm told it will probably be at the end of the day. Swell, but it's still only one trip. Give service girl my phone number for the umpteenth time to call if there's a problem. I go and wait ... And wait..... And wait... 4:45 rolls around (4.5 hours later) and service guy asks if they've gotten my bike to me yet ( I'm guessing because they were closing up shop). He checks the board and says "Oh.. Yeah they didn't have the parts to do the job". Would've been nice if somebody would've called me when this problem arose. No instead I waited around 4+ hours. Service guy offers me 20% off the parts (they DIDN'T order!) for my trouble. Sorry but that won't even cover the gas it took (and will take) to have them do it again. There was a halfhearted "sorry about that", but shit.... Seems kind of like a lame response. I pretty much watched 10 days of planned vacation fly out the window. The smarmy look on service guys face pissed me off even more. The more I thought about it, there just seems to be an apathetic air about everything there, from service, to sales, to parts. I'm certain other people have had great experiences here. It's the nature of the business. I'm sure the guy traveling was happy. Great that they showed such good customer service to him, but apparently I'm expendable. Not the best service model in my opinion. The fact that I'm not the only one who has had this sort of thing happen should be a warning. Yeah, people make mistakes, but mistakes seem to be a common theme here. I have recommended them to many people in the past but never again. Very disappointed Westside. Not sure what you need to get your shit together but I won't be back, and neither will any of my riding friends. DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME HERE. The customer support is absolute trash. They never have any parts in stock. The amount of time they waste with you is absurd. Waited in line for damn near 30 mins while the employee was taking his sweet ass time as if customers don't have any time of their own. Got to the register/employee only for the employee to say no we don't have that part. This is not the first time this has happened with me here. It is damn near an every occurrence in hope they have some way of helping me out..... which they never do, and they take FOREVER to help you out. How about y'all take care of the customers and respect their time. Westside use to be the absolute best place in Spokane, 6-8 years ago. They have completely fell off into this dumpster of a worthless motorcycle experience. Have a little C3 Scooter that started stalling out on me. Then one time it wouldn't start. Hauled it home and the next morning it started right up. When it wouldn't start I could not hear the fuel pump engage. Took it to Westside Motorsports and explained the situation. They say they diagnosed it, ran it (I'm sure at an idle, which puts no strain on the fuel pump), removed the body work & seat, and said everything checks out but would like to tear the motor down because of a knock they heard. The charge of all this was just under the quote they gave me to replace the fuel pump! Oh, they put air in a tire. This place is inept and I feel ripped off to say the least. I urge anyone thinking of going here to seriously reconsider. I'm out $164. for a little air in a scooter tire! read more

Well must be my fault. Was not paying attention when I signed the final paperwork. I did read it when I used the paperwork to call to switch my insurance over. There it was a sneeky 15999. Sale price of bike in their website 14999.00. Had Ryan in finance sending purchase order to my bank. I did not look at purchase order at the bank. They just wrote a check. My fault for thinking I could trust what I thought was a reputable business. Sent emails to the sales person about this. Sent email to Ryan. Sent email to Mrs. Yarno. No response to the variation in sale price. It will be a sad moment to set foot on their property use use the extended warranty I agreed to purchase. This dealer has very bad customer communication skills. We had to contact them, to get any satisfaction and to get something done. Not once did they return phone calls. Our motorcycle broke down over 50 miles from the nearest shop. And we had to drop it at this dealer/repair shop. It took 2 days for them to check the charging system and determine what was wrong. When they finally determined what the issue was, it cost over $230.00 for a new battery and diagnostic. We were on the road and had to stay in a hotel for 3 nights at a cost of $125.00 per night, it was the only hotel within 3 miles of the dealer. If you are needing quick & professional service don't come here. They knew we were on the road and did nothing to help us in a timely manner. read more

While on a bicycle tour, my motorbike was stored in a fenced area (where employees entered/exited) at a local hotel (Marriott) for three nights and four days. My helmet, in a black plastic bag that was bunged to the bike was stolen. Todd in parts dept, was very helpful and worked with me to find the things I would need. Ryan in service dept did the work, and It turned out fantastic! There is a backlog in the busy season, and patience is required, but I felt like I got more than I asked for, and the price was right on quote. Westside, here I come... Please read below as to what happened. Wow!!!! Today I got a call from a very good friend who was having some trouble with her Can Am. She is new to the Spokane area and picked a dealership that she thought would be reliable after having an initial conversation with them about fixing her "under warranty" can am. She made an appointment to come in today. They took her personal information at the appointment time, and then 3 hours later return giving her an update on her bike, which only included a diagnostic report that takes plugging in a module and 5 minutes to run. I can't believe Honda, Polaris, Can Am would put there bikes in a place to sell at such a poorly run CUSTOMER SERVICE business. My friend left after them not opening the bike up to even look at the initial problem which was a cruise control not working. Something so simple and how they made such a poor decision on how to not update the customer on her bike, and then sending her home after telling her they would order the part and she could come back and pay them for their services and for the bike to be left there. She needed a ride home and not only could they say no, they told her it was to "hard for them" and to go to another dealership. So, if you want a place with this kind of Customer Service doing mechanical business on your bike and can't be trusted, well I guess you have found a great place to throw away your money. To me, I ride a bike also, I am a female and this has happened before because I was a woman walking into a bike shop.. I took my husband back with me and it was a total different story. Do you know how many women ride bikes. MILLIONS!!! And we are proud to ride a bike and walk into a friendly wanted dealership and treated with professional customer service. Can't believe Allsport Polaris did this and handled this the inappropriate way. Could have at least recommended UBER or something. Westside Motorsports will probably be more than happy to come pick my bike up for free (since they have already offered to pick the bike up)and deliver the customer service that we expect when we walk into our favorite hobby shop. The worst thing in the Customer Service world where you are sponsoring bikes or something else is to make someone feel like they are JUST A NUMBER and NEXT IN LINE!!! Had my motorcycle towed in here due to a charging problem (alternator went bad) and figured that due to the fact that we were traveling we would get some help fairly quickly. Not the case with this shop. I called 1st thing Tuesday morning when they opened up to let them know what had happened with the bike and the service writer said they would check it out and get back to me. We never had a call back from them and when I called towards the end of the day before they closed I was told they couldn't get to it until tomorrow. Without going into all the details this shop doesn't care whether or not they have your business or if your stranded on the road. 2 full days to check out a charging system and not even check into if parts are available. I had a friend drive the 358 miles from Portland to tow the bike back to a repair shop in Portland where I know I will get the problem fixed without felling like I'm an inconvenience to them. read more
