My wife and I have golfed here at least three times a month for the last 3 years. It is a fun…read morecourse that can be challenging from the tips, family owned as I understand, and we usually have a good time. Over the last month each week the course has gotten worse. They have let some kind of rot creep under the greens. We have watched it get worse consistently over the past month until the last weekend when they were completely unputtable. To make matters worse the greens and much of the fairways were hard pan. I knew we were in trouble on the very first hole when I had a 100 yard lob wedge straight down the chimney that landed on the front of the green bounced 5 ft high and rolled off the back. To make matters worse they raised prices this year and have let the course go to crap. I really like this course but it is simply not worth the money. I really want this place to do well but won't be playing it again unless it gets significantly better. We made a tee time on the course for the next weekend at elks run. It's worth a few dollars more to us to not have to put up with the aggravation. I figure over the last 3 years we've spent at least $8,000 at twin oaks. I just don't know how they're going to survive.

Two words: Hidden gem…read more Whenever I am feeling stressed or if it is an abnormally beautiful summer night I love to come here and hit off the top dock. I have been playing golf since I was three years old and this is a perfect oasis for me. It's quiet, serene and you can even get a strawberry shortcake ice cream in the shop. WIN! There is a small pro shop at the end of the long entrance. A basket of balls comes in $5 or $10. The large is $10 and is more than enough. This will last you about an hour. There are three places to hit, all of which go into a beautiful lake. The top deck which is my favorite, the tee's, and the grounds. The tee's are somewhat unpredictable and if it's hot out there is NO shade. My favorite part are the different colored boats in the water. If you hit any of them you pretty much win the day. My only real complaint about this place was that I didn't have my clubs one day and I just wanted to stop by and hit some, and the clubs that they have are rusty and straight out of the 70's. It might be a good investment for even a few new ones. So be advised -- bring your own clubs. Other than that, this is one of my all time favorite places to pass the time. Check it out!

Yes, there's smaller gyms for the toddlers up front but I always see the young ones running for the huge gym which just stresses me out. I'd honestly skip this park if you're with your 1-4 year old. For older kids, this looks like the real deal. It's clean, there's a big covered picnic area, swings galore. I believe you do have to pay sometimes but I really don't know. Each time I've been, the gate has been open and we walked right in. Other times, I believe they close the gate and you have to pay at the building. I'm by no means a professional or a serious golfer. I just enjoy hitting balls from time to time for stress relief or playing a simple par 3 course. I like that the setup promotes self-sufficiency. There's no attendant necessary to provide buckets of balls. Instead there's a sort of ball vending machine that allows customers to choose the bucket size they'd like. The driving areas are both left and right hand accessible. Though there's no attendant, the facilities are clean and orderly. I anticipate visiting this range again as soon as it gets a bit warmer out.

My group of 8 golfers play hamilton county courses throughout the year. We avoided Sharon Woods…read moremost of this year due to bad course conditions. After being told by staff at another county course that conditions were greatly improved, we booked tee times on Friday, November 14. The course was still in extremely poor condition with most of the greens having numerous bare spots all over them. Tee boxes and areas around the fringes were also very poor. The most outrageous aspect of this experience was that we were charged the full $47 high season fee to play on this mess. For a group of players who have been loyal to playing Hamilton County courses for many years, this was extremely disappointing to say the least.

This is a hamilton county course. You need an annual car permit that is 10 to 16 dollars based on your county residency. Sand traps are decently maintained. You can walk but it is a challenge. Back 9 is harder for walking.
