We are not talking vinyard or glenview but the course was enjoyable around nature. The driving range only goes to 200 or 250 yards and is hitting off crabgrass. The course has a lot of water and a lot of weeds in the rough. 4 sets of tees and 6 six par 3's. They even had a sawgrass #17 hole. Snack bar available. Burgers were pricey at 5.50. Cans of beer were 3 or 4 dollars and 2.50 for Powerade or pop bottles.

"I said to our group, this is like playing in the Old Tom Morris days" before modern mowing equipment and smooth greens. Fairways had lots of crabgrass but very little desirable turf. Rough was just as bad, as was the driving range. Traps looked terrible but fortunately we were never in one. We played 18 holes from the blue tees which were actually a little better than the others, but still horrendous. The ponds had enough scum on them it looked like you could walk across them. It was almost 90 degrees with blazing sun in mid-August and no water fountains or coolers anywhere on the course. If I had known, I would have packed more water. The golf carts are nice, looking new and electric powered. The cheeseburgers were good, too. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

No one told me when I checked in there was a scramble event on the course. I walked in from hole #3 and asked why I was teed off in the middle of a scramble and was told the starter should have said something...which he didn't. I've played countless rounds on Cincinnati city courses and this is the first time it was a disappointment. Just tell me when I check in the situation before I go out on the course and get disappointed!

He even rode the cart with us to my car! The carts are VERY nice and offer a lot, while we were there the course was pretty beat up, but it was late in the day and it had just stormed the pretty bad the day before so I'm not going to account for the damage yet. The course is very hilly and just when you think you've hit the bottom it just keeps going. After a certain point it didn't even feel like I was in Ohio. Such a beautiful course and plenty of water, bunkers, hills and tree lines that shouldn't be an issue, but can definitely throw your game off if you aren't careful. This course is tied for my favorite course currently, I'm so 100% coming back because it was shockingly incredible.

My only issue with this course is the staggered tee times, it's so bad. Something has to change. I had a group of 4 and a group of 3 in front of me with a single, and group of 2 behind me... my tee time was 1:30pm and we didn't get to tee off until 1:52. We didn't get finished with 18 until 6:40pm, crazy. It wasn't even that busy, just bad tee time management.

We moved to the other flag and so did SonJa. I asked Sonja if he owned the green and his reply was he didn't understand what I was saying?? I said are you allowed to chip balls from one side to another when paying customers are trying to chip. Again he pretended like he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him I've seen him there before and he is the reason I won't be returning and his reply was " This course is a public course",, "Good Don't come back"! I reported this to the Starter. When I finished playing 18, Sonja was giving instructions to his friend. I asked him if he was charging his friend? No answer because if he was he would have to pay the course for using it to make money. Lastly, I'm sure Glenview knows this goes on and they continue to let Sonja launch ball across the the practice green plus the divots in the rough, divots on the green and the harassment the paying customers have to endure Glenview is scared to say anything to him. I do enjoy the course, golfers, employees and the cost but Sonja is out of hand. There are many courses that are just as nice with basic RULES and you don't have to put up with an Idiot like Sonja. Don't forget you Helmet!

They also have a nice putting green near the front that is really well maintained and great to practice on. Inside they have a wide variety of clubs to let you borrow from, they are older clubs but at least it is something. My only complaint is on purchases under $10 it has to be a cash purchase only, no card, so that sucks when you want a drink but only have a card on you. All in all, this is a really nice driving range in the area that I totally would recommend.

I could spend all night hitting balls on the range and drinking beer with friends and laughing at how bad we all are at golf. The driving range facilities are clean and very well lit. I just wish there was a grass option - I don't like mats... and there needs to be more spaces - its always crowded when I'm there. The par 3 course is pretty pleasant as well. It's nice to be able to play a quick round of 9 in the evenings after work. We gave him our tee time, went inside, and checked in with another friendly gentleman. We were early, and they had an opening available, so they offered it to us. The starter was exactly what a starter should be. . . . He explained basic course rules, gave tips, and offered expectations/reminders about fixing ball marks, pin placement, repairing divots with sand, pace of play, etc., which I appreciate. I wish all courses were better at this. A few holes into the round, another friendly gentleman drove by and offered cold water. At the turn, yet another friendly gentleman in the snack shop made a sandwich and a burger very efficiently. A friendly marshal pointed out two wayward tee shots near the end, and I complimented him on the entire staff being so friendly. He said the Head Pro would love to hear that. We finished, went inside, and had a pleasant conversation with the Head Pro. Oh, and by the way, the course itself was fantastic! The layout was challenging, but fair. The conditions were outstanding! Even the sand bunkers were in good shape and raked, which hasn't been the case at quite a few Cincy courses. The Superintendent definitely knows what he's doing! Virtually everything about this experience was awesome! We can't wait to go back!
