Conclusion they gave me: 1.Get an oil change and use a different filter. (Just had a fresh oil change before coming here with a genuine hengst filter) 2. Bad drive shaft ( this was incorrect as i had another shop double check to confirm, it was a exhaust shield that was bent out of place) 3. leaking radiator (this was also incorrect after getting another shop to double check it, it was incorrectly bled system from a coolant line change) Dan then told me it was going to take more than $10,000 to fix the car to make it drivable. After the whole thing I wrote a negative review on google maps as well as asked around online to see if the cost of diagnosis was normal. Dan then personally called and texted me threatening legal action against for defamation. In good conscience, I can't ever recommend anyone to this "BMW specialist" shop after this experience.

I had the car inspected at Midas earlier and we determined it needed to have the rusted exhaust system replaced from the tailpipe to the catalytic converter (mid car). My mother insisted Cooper Bros. do the work because they had previously done some minor work for her. I gave my mother (who is extremely sharp) explicit instructions to tell them to replace the damaged exhaust system - not just the muffler and tailpipe. After looking at it, Cooper Bros said they would fix it. They did not - they only replaced the muffler and tailpipe leaving the rusted middle section of pipe untouched! The manager, Jeff, later admitted they weren't equipped to replace that section of pipe. They charged my 85 yr old mother $628.95 for the muffler and tailpipe. I brought the car to Action Muffler yesterday to find out about replacing that remaining rusted section and they told me they would have charged about $350 for the muffler and tailpipe! Cooper Bros. overcharged her about $280!! While my 85 yr old mother was waiting for the initial exhaust work at Cooper Bros, manager Jeff convinced her to replace her timing belt. He did this while knowing the car had low kms (130k), she rarely drove it (about 100km/year), and would not be driving much longer. Note that Cooper Bros. had inspected her timing belt less than a year earlier and told her she didn't need one. Unknown to me, my frail mother booked an appointment and was charged another $1076.67 for this unnecessary labour-intensive job. They also left an important head cover nut off which I had to source and replace! Cooper Bros. took advantage of an 85 yr old elderly widow by telling her they could do an exhaust job they knew they couldn't do and then convincing her to replace the expensive timing belt. In total, she paid $1705.62 for repairs to a car that wasn't even worth that much! My mother gets about $20k a year in pensions, lives in a senior's home, and couldn't afford this. Jeff and Cooper Bros. saw an opportunity to take advantage of her and they did. They are dishonest and shameful!

A couple of months ago my 2005 Jaguar "S" Type encountered a power drain and the battery would die overnight. I tried to get it into Jaguar Edmonton but they were booked solid for a couple of weeks. I saw on Karmac's building that they advertised they workd on Jaguars so I took it to them the next day ( maybe the fact that I could get them to look at it so quick should have been a tip off to their incompetence) They kept my car for 8 days and during this time did nothing to it, they said they could not find the power drain and charged me almost $1,000.00 for keeping my car over a week and doing NOTHING. They even admitted that there were many days when they did not have time to work on the vehicle. I don't write a lot of reviews, but Eurasia Auto has earned this one…read more Over the last year, I've spent a lot of money maintaining and repairing my 2015 VW Touareg. As anyone who owns an older German vehicle knows, finding a shop that is both highly skilled and trustworthy is not easy. Eurasia Auto has proven to be both. I brought my Touareg in with an intermittent misfire that another shop had been unable to diagnose. At first, the issue wouldn't act up for them either, and instead of guessing and throwing parts at it, they were honest about what they found and asked me to continue driving and monitoring it. When the issue eventually became a constant misfire with a flashing check engine light and EPC warning, they methodically worked through the diagnosis. They swapped coils, performed compression testing on all cylinders, scoped the ignition system, and ultimately traced the issue to a failed injector. While the intake was removed, they also addressed a leaking valve cover. What impressed me most was what they didn't do. They inspected the intake valves for carbon buildup and determined that walnut blasting was not necessary, even though they could have easily added it to the bill. The vehicle now runs great, and I have confidence that the repair was done properly for the right reasons. The team communicates well, documents their findings, and takes the time to diagnose issues rather than simply replacing parts and hoping for the best. Their pricing has always felt fair for the quality of work being performed, and they stand behind what they do. If you own a Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, or any European vehicle in the Edmonton area, I would not hesitate to recommend Eurasia Auto. Highly skilled, honest, and fair. That's a rare combination these days.
