We came home from a vacation and noticed four brownish saucer sized spots on our bedroom ceiling. WestRock came out immediately and looked for water damage or leakage in the walls. Luckily, their meters showed minor water and they informed us that a small bit of drywall had to be replaced. They gave me an arrival window time between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. and showed up at 1:00, right on time. The technicians were Jose and Alex and both were very professional and friendly. They worked carefully to remove the old drywall and were done with the first part of the repair within the estimated time frame. Our bedroom was left spotless and now we are just waiting for the removal spot to be completely dry. (3-4 days.) We have a quiet fan in our bedroom and the hole in the ceiling is covered tightly with plastic. I will update when the new drywall is put in! I definitely recommend this company. read more

This company is the worst. Poor communication, the company does change orders after change orders. You are hooked by crooks. They over charge insurance company, once they find the insurance limit. Then over charge for things they state the homeowner charged at a inflated rate. ...I know your reading and think I am disgruntled property owner. Yes I am...Believe me no not....do not hire this company. You are probably in the same situation as I was devastated..at the loss of property not knowing what to do. We ended up choosing Signal Restoration after meeting with 3 different licensed contractors suggested to us by our insurance company. Our home suffered water leak damage that resulted in the total loss of all downstairs flooring and up to 3 feet high of drywall on several different walls. Because our existing flooring was engineered hardwood and virtually impossible to match, we looked for who we thought would be best in giving our home a "natural" look, and not having it appear as it was a patch job. Michael Coaty was our Project Manager at Signal, and he and his team left our house looking better than it did before the water damage happened. We had plank tile flooring laid, new baseboards throughout the downstairs and you would never know that the bottom 3 feet of our walls were replaced - no seams, no paint streaking ... everything looks amazing. From the day we signed a contract, Michael had us back in our home in 2 weeks. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend this company, and Michael Coaty specifically, for anything needing repair/restoration. read more

I had a major roof leak a few weeks ago. Signsl handled the clean up and drying out of the wall. They are very professional and keep you informed each step of the way. I have had delays due to constant rain and fighting with HOA but I had roof repaired last week and tomorrow we start on interior of the condo, there was a one day delay but Anthony did everything he could to find a second team to come start the work. I've been without a master bedroom and part of kitchen for 6 weeks so I truly appreciate Anthony making my project a top priority. read more

My insurance company sent Anthony Martinez out to write an estimate, and apparently he has special powers to see though walls because he refused to remove the temporary cover on the outside of the house to see what damage actually needed to be repaired. I discussed with him some interior damage, and he cut me off and said, well of course we replace everything, it would make no sense to repair around old parts. WELL, he was wrong it was not in the estimate, which does not matter because I have called the company several times to schedule the repair and only the estimator, AM, is allowed to call me back and schedule the repair...it' not like I have a giant hole in the outside wall of my house! NO way, I will work with them and would advice you to stay away. Any company that can't even return phone calls to schedule repairs, cannot be relied upon to carry them out! read more

A BIG thank you to my insurance company, Western Mutual and Steve Spagon for calling in Signal Restoration Services. After an unexpected rain storm that flooded my entire home, I met Cory Ennen from Signal. Cory responded immediately and as he went through and assessed the house he explained what needed to be done and assured me that everything will be alright. I knew then that I was in good hands and he made me feel so much better. The company had staff out that same day boxing up all of my belongs. They used caution and ensured that all of my items were safe for transportation. They even stored all of my belongs in their warehouse until my home was done. Everyone was extremely kind and sensitive to my situation knowing how devastating this all was to me. The company followed all of the city rules and regulations for Asbestos clean up and demolished the house accordingly. They hire exceptional contractors and I was extremely impressed at the workmanship. Cory kept in contact with me along the way and was always very responsive to all of my needs and concerns. Signal Restoration made this horrible incident much easier for me to handle. We had a leak in our hallway caused by a rat that chewed through the air conditioning condensate pipe that we did not know about but eventually the water came down and ruined the ceiling, walls and our hardwood floors. My insurance called in signal and Brian G showed up. THANK GOD. He was at our house that night. He was professional, personable, thorough and made sure he explained all the details of what was going to happen etc. signal called me everyday to check on things and had their guys out about every day to check on the drying out process. It was a trying time, but I'm thrilled with my completed home. The quality of construction is outstanding.  I attribute this to the professionalism and competence of the Project Manager, Bryan Clark, and his team of contractors. Their attention to detail and open communication insured that potential issues were addressed and corrected.   Bryan managed the on site contractors and maintained security and safety in an exceptional manner. This company has some real issues with quality problems. If one of their contractors fails, they continue to ignore repairs with hopes that they can wait you out. This is especially true for my flooring project that required most of my furniture in storage. Now,almost a year to put down flooring and it's not done These people are unbelievable so please save your frustration and go hire a professional company not this circus act. read more

Do NOT Do business with this company. They are partnered with the insurance company, yes, and are sent to assess the damage and do immediate clean-up, but they are then a bit shady on getting you sign documents, so that they are the ones that are contracted to do ALL the repairs on your insurance claim, even though you have the RIGHT to use anyone, and can probably get a better job using a non-partnered company. They are essentially in cahoots with the insurance company to give you the least quality service, for the highest price they can squeeze out of the insurance. We had a flood downstairs. The emergency services team was great. Our contents were all packaged, stored, and put back where they belonged. Everything seemed to move fast and smooth until it was time to do the repairs and upgrades. Different companies were hired to do different jobs. We had multiple no shows. I had to constantly follow-up and ask when the next job would start. It took over 3.5 months to have our house complete. We had to have guys come out after all the repairs were done to fix our sink that was lifting from our granite and our paint on the stair case that was chipping. Other little jobs were redone because they weren't done correctly the first time. We were provided with an estimated amount of the repairs and there were some adjustments. Our credits were incorrect. I had to ask for corrections for the credits. A ridiculous amount was being charged for simple things like carpet cleaning. I had to make too many calls and send too many emails following up with our estimator who was running our project. At one point, he was not returning my calls or emails. I had to involve the general manager. Finally, everything was done I thought I wouldn't have to worry about anything and today I received a call from painting company that was hired by Signal. The owner stated that Signal has not paid them and they are not returning their calls. The owner of the painting company is now stating that a lien on my house will be placed if Signal does not pay them. Seriously??? I'm in total shock of the mess this ended up being. My downstairs is beautiful and there are some great people working at Signal, but overall, my experience has been disastrous because of the terrible customer service provided by some individuals at Signal. A flood alone is a horrible event to experience and to have to constantly follow-up and question people to ensure a job is done the right way is not something customers should have to do. And a 5% service fee was almost added for using our credit card. Thankfully, the billing department waived that because that was not a fee I agreed with. It was never disclosed to us that there would be a service fee. read more

Never use Signal Restoration West for any repairs at your home. What a nightmare! Our HOA chose Signal as the contractor to handle fire damage to our unit which happened on May 26, 2019. They kept us in the dark the whole time that they were doing "restoration".. There was damage from firefighters working to put out the fire in the unit next door and was to our common wall and the ceiling in our living room. Signal ripped out our whole living room and used our unit as a dumping ground for debris from the severely fire damaged unit next door. They would start the work and then abandon our job for 30 days at time while they worked next door. Then they locked us out of our unit so they could plan more destruction. They did not like that we wanted to remodel our kitchen while the unit was vacant even though it had nothing to do with their work. We had to hire a lawyer to get back into our home. Then Signal told us in December, 7 months after the fire, that they needed to "chase smoke" in our master bedroom and bathroom. We found plans to rip out our walls in the vanity area, the bathroom (including tearing our bathroom tile and bathtub) all in the name of "chasing smoke". They also spray painted all over our walls in those same areas with orange paint including on our white tile. We then took complete control over our unit and changed the locks so that no further damage would occur. They had failed to complete the painting as they said they had, left off baseboards, didn't finish installing the fireplace unit in the living room wall (not connected to gas) so it didn't work, didn't do the stone/tile work, didn't replace the mantel, didn't finish the electrical outlets (there was also an entire wall in the living room that did not have electricity because one of the receptacles for an outlet wasn't connected properly) and didn't perform the final duct or unit cleaning. This was all HOA insurance work that Signal told us would be done by January 15. There was no way they would have finished because they were creating more unwarranted work for themselves so they could charge the HOA insurance more money. We told Signal that our insurance company would take over most of the work but that Signal would need to come in and finish the fireplace. They never answered us or finished the work. In fact, Signal told their fireplace contractor not to come to our unit when we called them. The other issue is permits. Signal only pulled a building and electrical permit. They supposedly also had a drywall permit that they never called for a final inspection on. We had to get permits to finish the electrical and the fireplace. Signal never pulled a plumbing permit for the fireplace. For all this work, Signal claimed to our HOA that they had permits but that we did not allow them to close out which was not true. Signal also left the fire damaged exterior of our building incomplete and exposed to the elements for several months. Bees made a home in there and had to be exterminated. Signal also never replaced the outdoor carpeting that they ripped up in front of four units including ours so there is still bare concrete while the rest of the corridors have green outdoor carpeting. Signal was unable to handle this job and uses handymen instead of licensed professionals to do their work. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! read more

Signal Restoration moved all of my belongings after an unfortunate flood at my home with such care. They treated my stuff as if it were their own. The people that loaded my belongings, Jonathan, onto the moving truck made sure that nothing was left behind. The loaders always had smiles on their faces and never complained about the work load.
