1. Had us pay cash until our insurance paid them but then would not reimburse us the entire amount we had paid once the insurance did pay. We were in Mar 2017 this is still ongoing. 2. When we tried to go to another dentist for a second opinion he would not send records and we would have to come in to get our x-rays. Not a thing. Can email dental x-rays easily from clinic to clinic. 3. My kid was in for fillings - now has a big hole where the supposed filling was. Go elsewhere!! read more

This dentist Dr. Peter Ngo usually come to work late in the morning and his mother is the receptionist sometime. His mom is very aggressive and they often have arguements = not professional. So you will have to wait a while to see the dentists. He complains that he works too much and no vacation. He pushed me many times to get my old fillings replaced to upsell to make more $$. Later on I found out from my friends who work in the dental industry (dentist, hygenists) that you should only get fillings replace if you really need or if they really bother you. If you get them replaced again, it is a waste and they will just end up digging a bigger hole in your teeth which puts you in higher risks of getting root canal & cavities. Avoid this place if you can and find a much better, less aggressive, less money hungry and more professional dental office. This office have high turnovers in hygenists as his mom scares them away and he mismanages them. The main dentist Dr. Peter Ngo likes upsell bill insurance for extra services for more $$. Don't listen & trust his recommendations such as getting a new filling bc your old ones are getting old. This is not a strong a valid reason. He is greedy & just wants to bill insurance aggressively for more $$. Always seek a second opinion. Ever since we got a new dentist things are much better. Dr. Peter Ngo performed 2 oral gum surgery on my husband gums which was unnecessary for more insurance $$. Now our new dentists told us to just use Waterpix after we floss. Now there are no more gum issues. No need for gum surgery & no more gum disease. So always seek a 2nd opinion before you listen to Dr. Peter Ngo. He is also unprofessional, likes to gossip about others just like his mother and ask lots of personal questions. Stay away from this office if you can. I went in for a tooth ache. I was in a lot of pain. I got attended to right away. I received full and complete attention from the staff. The dentist was very thorough and detailed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Very rude and unprofessional dentist who tried to force us to do xrays for our 6 year old when it is not even necessary. When i expressed reservations and outlined that our previous dentist agreed based on the ALARA principle that she didn't need xrays at this point, he became hostile and offensive. Talked over me, refused to hear me out and then stormed off after telling us to go back to our other dentist. Shockingly disrespectful and arrogant for a health care professional. Would not trust my health to someone who behaves this way and who seems to be enforcing a mandatory xray policy to male money rather than considering the patient's complete care and well being. I am very pleased with the treatment done for me, as well as the service that was provided. I was suffering from a lot of pain on an area of my teeth and needed to find a dentist right away at that time. Due to my busy schedule, I had prolonged my wait on seeing a dentist and my pain had only gotten worse. So eventually, I had pulled up to Dr. Ngo's office as I drove by it after work. The office seemed to be closing up for the day when I arrived. I explained to the secretary that I needed to see the dentist because of the pain I was having. She immediately spoke to the dentist and I was seen right away. He was a very young, well-spoken and well dressed. He was professional and explained everything that needed to be done. I am so happy with the treatment. I have been to many dentists before and I have a fear of seeing a dentist because it is so invasive and I am also in so much pain while being treated. Dr. Ngo is the only dentist up until now that has not caused me any pain. Him and his staff are very gentle and caring during surgery. Again, I am very pleased and also very thankful that they had brought me in to see me even though it was pretty late in the evening and was closing up . This place is very unprofessional and extremely questionable. Not fit to be in business in my opinion. Really concerned that they will give this man a license. RE: POOR, UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICES from Dentist Peter Ngo, Weston Humber Dental Centre,1533 Jane St, North York, Tel: 416-850-5982 My daughter had an appointment scheduled to check upon a previous filling. As we arrived, we were told to take a seat and wait. FORTY minutes later, the receptionist told us to rebook our appointment for the next day because the dentist just left for lunch while we were waiting. We could not do that, so she told us that if we wanted to see him today we would have to wait another HOUR AND A HALF for him to return from lunch. I asked her if I could speak to the dentist upon his return. She said that this was impossible because "the dentist's time is very valuable" in comparison to our time. This gave us no choice but to wait. In addition to the attitude she had given us about the appointment, she had turned on the TV and raised the volume while I was speaking to her. She continued to exert further ridiculous behavior by proceeding to the back room, and talking about my daughter and me to her associates. The walls are thin, and we could clearly hear her foul-mouthing us, often referring to us as "THAT woman and her daughter". We could not believe our ears! When I asked for her name, she initially said that I didn't need to know, but later admitted it to be Ms.Cuc. Ms. Cuc's (if that's even her name) treatment of us was absolutely disrespectful! I proceeded to wait out the time until my daughter was finally let in to see the dentist. I spoke to the dentist, Dr. Peter Ngo, and explained the receptionist's actions. In any customer service setting, regardless of the industry you are in, it is obligatory as an employee to provide proper care and treatment. Instead of acknowledging our concern as any professional person would do, he had the audacity to ask us, "why don't YOU go tell her that?" The rude display of behavior at the Weston Humber Dental Office has leaded me to give them a 1-star rating. No matter how knowledgeable the dental employees may be, if they cease to treat their patients without a care in the world, you know that it is a POOR BUSINESS.
