Here's the deal -- upon the retirement of my lifelong dentist, for about 5 years I went to the Dental College here in Toronto on Elm St... during my last visit there with a 3rd year student, I had a wisdom tooth worked on... at the end of the session, it just didn't seem right, even though the student supervisor took a look and said it was fine.... forward a month, the tooth is still giving me grief, and on the recommendation of a woman I know from work I went to Dr. Warchuk... I was pleasantly greeted, quickly seated, and dealt with promptly... the assistant took an Xray of my tooth, and once the dentist looked at it he discovered that the tooth's initial problem was not only not fully dealt with at the dental college, but that it also had a cavity which should have been discovered there too... moments later he began work on my tooth, which took about a half hour total (vs. the 3+ hours you have to spend with the dental students), and it's been absolutely pain & discomfort free ever since... I couldn't be happier with the results... I've since returned for cleanings & check ups, and have enjoyed the experience each time as the staff is friendly and informed... I've learned the hard way it pays to go to someone with years of experience, and will be seeing Dr. Warchuk from now on. read more
