We ended up purchasing an entire outdoor set for my mom and brother's new house including a patio table, chair set, and umbrella and base, much of which was deeply discounted at the floor model price. The team also let us hold some things in the back so we could come back for items that didn't fit in my car on the first trip. The store manager was very uncooperative. We were offered $150 return for the delivery fee by a vice president of the company who was very pleasant. Even that we had to send an email to get the refund. Very unpleasant experience. Not worth my time to sue for the value of the chairs. Hopefully they will work out, but do not hold out much hope. I returned a rug and had to call 20x to receive the full refund. They simply could not figure out how to calculate the refund correctly, and refunded me around $300 to $400 short of what I should have received. What really hurt me the most was that I had brought my toddler in to pick up a couple items. She simply held a soft pillow, and an employee came and snatched it out of her arms. Didn't even give me a chance to address it myself. I left in almost tears. I don't know why I didn't speak up then. I later brought it up to management and they didn't even apologize. We inherited a Brown Jordan Patio Set that was most likely either purchased in the late 60's, early…read more70's. They were in good shape with the exception that some of the framing was getting pitted and straps were faded, but not broken. This set, including the glass table, have been outside in the sea air and all elements since they were purchased. We wanted to honor my wife's grandparents by not replacing this set. So we decided to invest in a restoration, due to how well made this set is. I found Patio Guys on Yelp and decided to use them for this project. As we were starting to wipe down the chairs, we noticed a label on one of the chair frames, which was a Patio Guys restoration logo decal. Turns out our late relative had used them before, but uncertain at what decade were they restored before. I guess it was destiny to use Patio Guys. For the strap width of what our chairs required, there was not a huge selection to choose from. So if you're looking to replace with a sunny yellow, orange or teal, you'll need to make an alternate choice. Lots of whites, creams, tans, and earthy greens to choose from. The only blue is like a Dodger blue or a forest green. So we took a leap of faith and chose turquoise. It's perfect!! We were in no hurry and quoted 4 weeks turn around time. It was more like 6 weeks, but I was anticipating more like 10 weeks. Plus we were the cause of not getting the chairs back sooner due to our schedule. The job Patio Guys has exceeding my expectations. I knew the patio set would look better than the existing condition, but I wasn't expecting a brand new condition.

When I opened the boxes to begin assembling it, I immediately found grass all over the couch which obviously raised a major red flag about whether this couch had actually been brand new or not. Despite that, I cleaned everything up and continued assembling it, hoping there wasn't going to be any other issue. Unfortunately, toward the end of assembly, I discovered that one of the armrests was missing the latches needed to attach it to the sofa AND the armrest itself was ripped. I contacted the business within 24 hours and explained exactly what had happened including pictures. Their initial response was essentially that I should just drive back to their warehouse and pick up the missing latches. But at that point, the missing latches were the least of the problem. I had been sold a couch that was supposed to be brand new, yet it arrived with grass in the packaging, missing hardware, and a ripped armrest. I explained this to them multiple times. After going back and forth, they finally agreed to give me store credit. I was willing to accept that even though, in my opinion, I should have been offered a refund for an item that was not delivered in the condition it was represented to be in. They then told me I needed to return the couch.... So I did exactly that. The couch was already approximately 99% assembled, and I had sent them pictures showing exactly what condition it was in. I had a relative with a truck drive the couch back to their warehouse for me. Then, after we went through the trouble of transporting the couch all the way back, they refused to accept it because it wasn't in the original boxes... Seriously? They knew the couch was no longer in the boxes. I had already sent them pictures showing that it was almost completely assembled. They knew exactly what condition it was in before I drove it back. I explained that I had no reasonable way to put it back into the original packaging. It arrived in three separate boxes, and I had no idea how it had originally been packed. Even if I somehow managed to disassemble it and cram everything back into the boxes, their solution made absolutely no sense. They would still have to take it apart again, inspect it, replace the missing/damaged pieces, and repackage it before potentially reselling it. I even spoke directly with the owner via FaceTime, and rather than trying to find a reasonable solution, he was extremely rude and completely unwilling to work with me. I explained the situation logically and repeatedly, but he simply refused to take the couch back. So now I'm out $700, I've wasted a tremendous amount of time, I've had to arrange transportation to return a defective product, and after doing everything they asked me to do, I was still left with absolutely no resolution. What makes this even more frustrating is that I wasn't demanding anything unreasonable. I was willing to accept store credit just to resolve the situation and move on. They couldn't even do that. The entire experience was frustrating from beginning to end, but the way management handled the situation was what really sealed the deal for me. A business can make a mistake. Products can have defects. What matters is how you treat the customer when something goes wrong. In this case, they made the situation dramatically worse by refusing to take responsibility and then hiding behind a technicality they already knew about. If you're thinking about buying furniture from this place, my advice is DON'T. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere that actually stands behind what it sells and respects its customers when there is a problem. $700 lesson learned.
