They must have changed owners or something because I am seeing the really bad reviews from 10 years ago... but I want to let everyone know that I recently came here February 2026 for a smog check and had a fantastic experience. It was quick. They speak Vietnamese AND English. There is a cash discount, so I only had to pay $50. I thought I would have time to study/do work but I was catching up on texts/emails and was on my merry way very quickly. There were 4 other people also. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

The best smog price in town, honest, no bshi*t and fast. I was number 4 in line, but it took less than 30 minutes to complete, which took less than 10 minutes per car. Thank you for your professional service. Surely I come back with my next car's smog in the future. read more

I have been coming here with my very older Honda Civic for years. I moved to Irvine from Long Beach. When it was time for my car to get a smog check I didn't hesitate to make the drive. The couple who run the place are so nice. I recently had a stroke and use a walker. They went above and beyond helping me out which was very much appreciated. Plus I always enjoy the birds. read more

Very fast and very good price. My husband recommended this spot and I'm glad. The shop owner was also very friendly.

I would like to thank Annie and her husband for providing wonderful service in my smog check today. Honest, upfront pricing, great customer service, how refreshing in this day and age. The shop was clean and organized and well maintained. But it truly was the professionalism given. Recommend highly! Skip the Groupons that don't tell you about the extra fees for certificates! Thank you Westminster Smog Only! read more

My usual smog test place is a block further East from here but they were closed even though it was 45 minutes past their posted opening hours. Not the first time this happened to me. Figured I'd give this place a shot. I'm glad I did! The Husband and Wife owners are extremely friendly and they have a very comfortable waiting area with a huge bird cage. Was fun watching the beautiful variety of birds while waiting for my car to be tested which took about 10 minutes if that. My car didn't qualify for their coupon but it was 100% the exact same price as the place I usually go to with a coupon. I passed and I think this will be my go to smog check place going forward! read more

I always come here for a smog check. They're fast, kind, and they have birds out front.

This is the only place I go to for smog for the past 20 years. Very friendly and very fast. Always a pleasant trip.

Shop has been since 1999 but it was my first time there. Anne greeted me with a smile and was super friendly. Chris performed the smog inspection. Total time spent was under 30 minutes. In the 30-plus years that I have been driving cars and taking my cars to get smogged, this was the friendliest smog check business I've ever come across!!! read more

I found this place years ago. Even though I live in Long Beach and could find a place closer, I continue to come here. The lady that does the paperwork and gentleman who does the testing are so nice. I went yesterday and it was a little cold. The lady immediately was afraid I was cold and offered me a sweater. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. read more

Westminster Only Smog is a great spot if you are looking for a quick and affordable smog check (star certified). I called ahead of time and they let me know that appointments are not required since the test only takes about less than 10 min. I popped in after work and had a nice conversation with the lady behind the counter (Annie?); she is very friendly. Also love the chickens running around and the parakeets hanging out in their cage. Will come back next time I need a smog check. It was 50 bucks for my Mitsubishi Outlander Sport read more

Did a walk in and was greeted immediately. They were friendly with great customer service! My total time spent there (sign in, payment, and smog test) was about 15 minutes and I was good to go. I paid $50 for my Mazda 3 (2011). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Called to check on pricing and Annie answered the phone. Best customer service and price around, can't beat it. I pulled in and she already knew it was me even though we'd never met. Great set up. Will be bringing all my vehicles here from now on. Annie even took a few minutes to talk to me, it's a family owned business and I rarely leave reviews but after this great experience I felt the need to. What a fantastic place and friendly atmosphere, not to mention the best price by far. read more

Half the price of what others in the area were charging and awesome customer service. I only paid 35 bucks for my car with certification and all. I called right before they closed and inquired about when I can come, he said their closing in 10 mins but if I'm not too far he will wait for me. That's awesome! And the lady who was working there was very friendly as well. Both did their jobs with a smile and great attitude. Don't go anywhere else for a smog test, this is the best place you'll find. Even with Groupon "deals" for half off at other places, they are still more than the regular prices at this shop. read more

Owners were super friendly and price was fair as well! Would come here again in the future.

Nice quick service. Owner was very nice and helpful. Waiting area had some caged birds you can watch under a shaded outdoor area. Ill be back for my next smog check. read more

As my friend recommended this place, I came here on Friday for my car smog check. It took me about 15 minutes to get it done. The owners were super friendly, and the price is affordable. It is easy to find this place cause it's opposite to Taco Bell. This place has a lovely sitting area with birds in a cage. Overall, this place has an efficient and fast service, a nice sitting place, a good location and offers a reasonable price for the smog check. Again, I have received the greatest service ever in this place. So satisfied!!!!! Thank you so much. I will definitely come back here when I need to do the smog check for my car. I like bringing my vehicle here as the gentlemen is really friendly and quick but my only gripe is he doesn't open the hours specified or he doesn't open at all. For example, i took my vehicle there on a Friday at 9 am and hung out in the parking lot and by 9:45 the business still wasn't opened and the phone number doesn't work. I don't mind as I live close by but I feel bad for people who don't live so close. Anyhow, i ended up taking my car down the street to another smog test center. read more

Every two years I make my way back here, with all the vehicles we have! Quick and easy and Ms. Annie is great! Cute tropical patio in front while you wait. If you close your eyes and have a good imagination, Westminster traffic turns into the roar of waterfalls as the birds chirp in a tropical forest. And just like that, done. Fast service! read more
