Andy Test Only Center - Another successful smog check done, thanks Andy! - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Garden Grove, California

I came here for a smog check. Super fast service and no appointment needed if you come early on a weekday (: Great pricing as well.

Andy is honest, quick, and reliable. My dad use to go to Andy and I've been getting smog checks with Andy for a long time. It's very straight to the point at Andy's - he will get you in and out quickly and will get your paperwork submitted to the DMV quickly as well. read more

This is the only spot I have gone to in the last few years for a smog check when renewing a vehicle. My dad knows the owner Mr. Andy, so whenever I call to make an appointment I always let him know I'm his friends daughter. During my last visit I showed up about 10 minutes early and he was available to help me right away. I left an hour for this errand but it really only took 15-20 minutes. Mr. Andy was fast, friendly, and explained the paperwork and when I can expect the DMV to receive my results. It was a quick process and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of with pricing so I was happy to leave a tip. I suggest calling and making an appointment to be in and out asap! read more

Super easy and friendly. I'll definitely come back here to support the small business. I didn't have to wait long to get my car smogged, charged $50 for a 2013 civic. read more

I've never taken the time to write a review on yelp before but I have to this smog ripped for $45 today by telling me one of the values that has to show in on his screen was showing as told me that if he passed me the state of California would lower his grading as a smog but for $45 he would go ahead and do that I had no other choice. I have to get my sticker. I work during the week during normal business hours. I just feel with the amount of people that I have him in the past I that I have recommended him as highly as I have in the past this was clearly a falsehood I checked with a mechanic a friend of the state of California allows you to with one of those factors below normal. It would've in the state eyes to his business. He just wanted to make $45 go here. read more

My favorite and go to spot for smog. Andy Test only Center is the only spot I go to when I need to smog my car. I recommend calling in ahead of time to schedule a smog appointment. It saves you a lot of time, you can still drop by, but sometimes there is a lot of cars in front of you. Andy is super nice, knowledgeable, and fair. read more

I called first and made sure they had time for me. I was told to come in 1/2 hour, which was perfect since I was 20 min away. Three other people showed up at the same time as me but since I had called he took me first. Fast smog check and paperwork processed. I paid him cash and went to pay my registration. read more

Great service. Very kind, informative and quick. Would definitely come back for future smog checks.

Leaving a review here to say thank you to Andy at Andy Test Only Center! Andy was very helpful answering questions, friendly, patient, fast, and helped us when we did not have an appointment (still, try to book in advance if possible!). We were in and out and done within 10-15mins. Andy also gave us reminders for vehicle issues and recall information issued by our car's manufacturer. Worth the drive from Riverside County to OC! Once again, thank you very much Andy! read more

Quick service and cheap prices. He was about to close but waited for me to come. Got everything done within 10 minutes and sent smog to dmv.

Andy is lie an old friend I only see once a year but never forgets my face and gets me in and out quick! Smog shops are always scary because they dictate what repairs you may need on an older car and this ca get expensive really quickly. Andy is a test only spot. If he tells you something needs to be fixed you can go to your own trusted mechanic and have them fix it before ee testing! I TRUST Andy, and as always I show that support with my wallet! read more

The service was quick and cheap. I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. The service person gave me all the required paperwork and instruction. Bilingual Vietnamese and English. read more

Andy made the process quick and easy. He's reliable and I always come to Andy's for a smog test

Do not come here unless you want to pay more than the quote. I asked and the owner confirmed the service cost is $40 total. I planned to give him extra $10 tip because of holidays. 15" later, he gave me a receipt for $45 with explanation that the cost of everything is increased now. Hahaha, I did not want to fight because he just saved me $5 tip. This is the last time I come here because of dishonest owner. The other shops around there (Garden Grove) still charge you only $40 like: New Century, Pro Auto of GG on Dale, .... read more

Andy is amazing! Told me what to do to get the smog to pass and very accommodating! I would go again

Quick, easy, and competitive pricing. My family has been going to Andy for years. Showed up today for a walk-in and I was in and done in less than 15 minutes. FYI: Smog check verification is submitted electronically and Andy gives you a heads up to wait about a day if you want to pay your registration online. read more

Andy the owner is a super nice and friendly guy. I was driving for work and figured I needed to do this so I randomly pulled in and immediately greeted with a hello and said about 20min wait. I waited about 10mins and then check it self was about 15mins and had a few laughs with the owner and was on my way out. The cost here was cheaper than many other places and the guy was awesome and fast with no appointment either. I just found my new smog guy. read more

Fast and easy smog test center. Not the most lavish place but gets you what you need in a timely manner. Highly Recommended. Also it's a bit hidden as you drive up from Magnolia so you'll see it once you enter the lot. Lots of other car services located at this center. read more

Love this guy and place. Used to live close by but now I'm almost an hour away, and I still wait until I am in his neighborhood when I need a smog. Friendly and fast. If only all automotive exchanges were this pleasant.. read more

I came here a couple of times for my smog tests. One time, my old car came out a "gross polluter" and Andy gave me back my money and and told me if I get it fixed, he'll take the money when he retests it. I like this place because the owner is polite and honest. He gives me the price up front so no surprises. read more

Please learn your profession. Andy is polite and courteous, but fails in the knowledge department. I admit I don't know everything there is to know about California smog regulations -- that's why I rely on professional smog-test centers to know what to do. I have a 1983 CJ7 that I converted to fuel injection in 2001. All parts are CARB legal; the sticker with the number is clearly and legibly affixed where it should be. This has not been an issue in the past, yet after 35 minutes Andy refused to finish the test, stating he did not have enough information to continue and claiming that he had already received a pricey fine for testing vehicles incorrectly. Half an hour later, a similar test-only shop was able to easily cross-reference the CARB number with my vehicle and perform the test. read more

Fast, easy smog check. $40 cash, $41.50 with card. Will be back. Short 10 min wait (one car ahead of me) and then I'm out of there. read more

First time trying here since the place on beach closed and changed owner plus price increased. Came at 9 am on a Saturday and there were 3 people already waiting. Very nice gentleman. He's fast and tries to get you out of there soon. Nothing fancy here, so don't come here expecting the effin world. He just does smog check only and is star certified. It was $40, which I paid cash. Have cash handy, it's quicker. Will definitely come back. read more
