Disappointing customer interaction and inflexible discount policy, still a regular customer…read more This is my regular dispensary and I plan to continue shopping here, but I am leaving this feedback here because I do not feel comfortable giving it in person. I want to separate two issues clearly. First, the student discount policy. There is a posted 20 percent student discount that only applies on Sundays. As a student who uses cannabis medicinally, this structure does not work for me. Being told on a Saturday that I should come back another day for a discount when I am already ready to purchase is not helpful. I am not asking for an exception. I am offering feedback that a discount limited to one specific day does not accommodate medicinal or schedule based needs. That feedback should be acknowledged, not debated. Second, repeated unwanted interaction from one staff member. When I shared that feedback, one staff member who was not involved in my transaction repeatedly interjected, lectured, and attempted to explain why my perspective was wrong. I clearly stated more than once that I did not want to debate it and asked him to stop engaging and allow the employee assisting me to continue the transaction. Despite that, the interruptions continued. Because of the continued side conversation and interruptions, the checkout process became confusing. I had brought edibles to the front and confirmed the price, but I was not told how much additional cash I needed to withdraw from the ATM to complete that part of the purchase. After already paying an ATM fee and with everything going on, I ultimately said never mind and left the edibles behind. This same staff member has also previously failed to acknowledge me when I entered the store and has redirected me in line in a way that felt dismissive. Taken together, these repeated interactions have been frustrating. I want to be clear that other staff members were polite, helpful, and professional, and the store itself is clean and well run. This feedback is specifically about one recurring interaction and the structure of the discount policy. If a customer says they do not want to be lectured or debated, that boundary should be respected. Feedback does not need to be refuted in the moment. It simply needs to be heard. I am posting this here rather than raising it in person because I still plan to shop at MedMen and want this addressed constructively.

It's unfortunate. I think it's important for people to understand when they're in the service industry, their energy really affects the overall energy of the rest of the staff and the clients visiting. We can feel the negative energy immediately . I know we all have things going on in life, and life is intense right now. Because there's a lot going on in the world right; clients are looking to escape life's stress, if even for a moment. I also work in the service industry and I understand that many people shop and visit locations to escape and they will choose places that are more fun to purchase what they need versus sticking with a place where the energy is down. Maybe the problem is the staff? Maybe the problem is the Management, which makes the job not enjoyable for the staff? Maybe the problem is the owners? If it's a trickle, where the problem is at the top then please fix it because it's affecting your bottom line or it will as people choose other locations. I've been going to this location for a few years and the energy recently shifted from a fun place to visit to where people feel depressed and the energy feels toxic. What happened? Even the security person was off.

The reduction in stars is for unreliable, inconsistent and non communicative delivery services. I recently went on medical leave and am confined to home. I attempted delivery four times over four months because I love the selection and staff at the store. The first time I received a call from the store saying they couldn't deliver it that day. I told them their page said it was deliverable to my area, they said they couldn't at that time. The second time my order came and was well- packed. Third time my order was cancelled several hours after it was made. Fourth time I received notice that my order was cancelled late the day after the order was supposed to come. The Pottery is still a great dispensary if you are able to go in. However, If you are a medical patient and rely on delivery for your meds, you may want to try Goat Global or Erba who are more attentive to delivery.
