Rice lager & hazy
Lauren M.

Came here on a Friday night and it was packed, so seating was pretty limited. The space itself is beautiful though! Great atmosphere and a solid selection of beers, wines, and food options. I usually go for sour beers and was hoping to see at least one on the menu, but unfortunately they didn't have any during my visit. Still worth checking out for the vibe and variety!

The beer was good the guacamole was delicious however the sitting areas are not well designed. Only a few places to sit inside and then you have to grab a folding chair. I wish they had more fire pits outside as it was a little chilly and not a lot of places to sit and stay warm. I'm hoping as they get settled they get the set up a little better as it's a cool spot and has good beers.

I must update to a 5 now that their wine and food offerings have expanded. This place really has it all now, along with the friendliest service and a can't-be-beat ambiance. I anticipate a lot of visits in good weather.

Cool Vibe here at New Brewery!! Light bites and ample patio for an afternoon suds and bites. Average noise and plenty of beers to choose from. I had a Stout and it was delicious. Just opened and I'm looking forward to try more Beers and possibly food. Closed Monday and Tuesdays but open Weds-Sunday 2-9pm. Also has a self serve water station. Credit card and tap only, no cash accepted except gratuity.

Lafayette's newest brewery has officially opened its doors, and it delivers on the anticipation. It's a standout addition to the local scene and a strong signal that the Lamorinda brewpub community continues to evolve in all the right ways. The space feels fresh and thoughtfully designed--clean, modern, and welcoming. What i really enjoyed was the depth and creativity of the beer list. It goes well beyond the usual lineup, with several distinctive options that you don't often see elsewhere. Topping it off, the brewery is family-owned by Lafayette locals, giving it an authentic, community-first feel that makes you want to come back and support it again. Welcome Western Flyer!

Fantastic!! Finally Open! Great beer selection and excellent wine selection as well. Yet to try what appear to be wonderful snacks. This place is selling a variety of West Coast IPA's and Mexican German and American lagers and pilsners. Have not yet tried the birria or Tinga tacos, guacamole or chips. The beer and wine is great. I sampled a German pilsner which was crisp and clean and the imperial Stout which is luscious, rich with flavor, bitterness and alcohol. Although not advertised as a bourbon, barrel-aged drink but reminded me of such beverages. Friendly staff. Comfortable seating, lively spacious and feel good music. Nice indoor outdoor experience with large openings. Plenty of accessible entrances, ramps. Super friendly staff serving and cleaning. Can't wait to come here again for a sit-down meal and enjoy!

We've been loving Western Flyer and are so glad it's finally opened, it's quickly become one of our go-to spots in Lafayette. The tacos are consistently delicious (fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot every time), and the chips + guac are a must-order... perfectly crisp chips and super fresh, well-balanced guacamole. It's also such an easy place to bring the whole family. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and there's truly something for everyone, whether you're there with kids or meeting friends. And the drinks...so good. The beer is on point and super refreshing, especially on a warm day. And they have other options for non beer drinkers. Overall, just a great neighborhood spot that nails both the food and the atmosphere. We'll definitely keep coming back!

Walked in at last call carrying a bag of groceries and these kind folks satiated my thirst with the fine Devo Series 2 and a comfy seat to rest my weary bones.

Perfect afternoon with a delish Czech pils.

Food was average, beers are good but too expensive. Pint is $10. Lagers are one of the cheapest to brew.

Outside speakers were far too loud to have a relaxing drink with friends. No need for outside music. Also busy traffic street.

So far I have tried 7 of the IPAs and 3 of the lagers/pilsners (over several visits that is!), all are outstanding, as good as it gets IMHO.

I find that experimenting with Broderick's variety of speciality burgers, fries and milkshakes provides a superb customer experience. Personally, I'm always excited to try a different protein patty (bison, duck, lamb etc.) My Gold Rush Burger with duck patty was cooked and stacked perfectly but I could barely taste the Mac & cheese in the burger. Because I equally craved pulled pork, I therefore had the Banh Mi fries as a side. My meal was hearty, flavorful and well presented. The service was efficient and outside seating area was kept clean. I will definitely return to Broderick to try another burger.

This type of burger is my go-to and I wasn't disappointed. So good and I didn't even request most bbq sauce because it was flavorful enough and not dry (like others make it). My friend got the grilled fish tacos and enjoyed them. Looked delicious and he was satisfied. We were seated quickly at the bar to watch the playoffs and all the servers were checking on us pretty regularly. We were well taken care of. Excellent place to go all around and we will come back when we're back in the area.

We started with the Crispy Cauliflower, coated with tempura batter and served with lemon aioli; Roasted Brussels Sprouts, topped with chili flakes & Parmesan and served in a cast iron skillet; and the Hummus, topped with Pepitas and served with thin, crispy parm'd pizza bread. The Chopped Kale Salad came with apple, radish, carrot, cotija, and Pepitas, all tossed in a tangy pomegranate vinaigrette; and the Chickpea Salad also had a base of kale topped with chickpeas, roasted sweet potato/carrot, and charred halloumi, and dressed with herbed pesto. The highlight of the menu was their creative pizzas, which you could order either on a thin, crispy Neapolitan crust, or on a thick, soft, square-shaped Detroit-style base with crispy baked cheese edges. The Fun Guy came with porcini cream, mushroom, onion, goat cheese, and pecorino; and the Hail Mary came with beer braised chicken, caramelized onion, cotija, garlic, and Calabrian chili oil, which gave the pizza a flavorful spicy kick. Overall, my favorite items were the Hummus with aromatic pizza bread; and the tantalizingly spicy Detroit-style Hail Mary, but everything was tasty and came at a good value and with quick service too!

I like that you can easily do separate tabs for a group order, and that you are able to order a drink as soon as you finish your first! They didn't have options to order sauces on the side, and I felt bad asking the staff to bring me small items that I was unable to order online. The staff were very friendly tho, and we had a great time!

We ordered fries and a veggie plate to start and the fries that showed up were covered in paprika and soggy like they were baked. Extreme premium prices for beyond mediocre food. The hummus was laughable and ranch was awwwful. We ordered a following round of food with chicken strips, a burger and more fries. This time the fries were completely different. They were deep-fried and crunchy (definitely came from a bag) but a completely different french fry from what we received on our first order. Still the same foul Ranch and the ketchup that was out in squeeze bottles was beyond disgusting it was thin, sour and bright red with tin flavor. Chicken strips were fine, they 100% came from a bag and were consistent with hundreds of other restaurants that purchase the same ones. We asked the server if we could have our burger cut in half and they snapped that they were too busy to do that. The people next to us and across from us had burgers that were split in half... And the burger was a complete joke. Their "special sauce" is just cheap mayonnaise mixed with some of that cheap ketchup (that is probably from a huge can from the top corporate food distributor.) People listing that this is one of their favorite burgers are really missing out on some experiences in life, or they're eating them after their third double IPA... It's a beautiful place, great yard area. But the food needs to open a new document and start again. I can't believe how much it cost for how horrible it was. I'm in shock.
