And there are prices prominently displayed for shared rides, which the company told me have not been available since before the pandemic. What's a FANTASTIC experience. Long story short, these guys sacred out special day after the bus rental we had scheduled from another company flaked on us in the last minute. We called in a panic on Friday evening trying to figure out how to transport 10 people to a drive in college graduation at Sonoma State. Chris arrived promptly, and took us to the campus where we got to park and take pictures. Super cool conversations and when it was time to formal he expertly got us into the best photo position. In a recent trip, the airline delayed my flight causing not only a radically different time pick-up but a shif to a different airport. The entire experience was smooth and uncomplicated from the online reservation to confirmation prior to pick-up, the actual pick-up and the ride home. And the saga continues... I did a previous review about my negative telephone experience with the company. Once again I have to say that on a previous occasion, the company took care of me without any problems taking me from home to the airport. From this most recent experience, and reading the company's reviews, the problem is the inability for conflict resolution and good customer service. After I posted my previous review I received a short email that reads: "You're are charged so you can ride about it to please don't forget to do that". I didn't think much about it but decided to save the email just in case. Today I found out that I was actually charged for a service that has not been provided and that was cancelled on a previous telephone conversation. Added to this, taking into account the email, this was intentional and done maliciously. Once I found out I was charged I contacted the company. The person that answered was the same I spoke with before and after asking for my address referred to me as "the one who wrote the review". He refused to refund the money. I stated it was my right to write a review and that the money he charged was for services that had not been provided. He refused and encouraged me to write another review about this experience. At this point, more than being angry is just a sense of disappointment. Beware of this company and their poor practices. I feel they used my credit card without my authorization as the number is given to make the reservation and not as the form of payment once the services are rendered. read more

I had the worst experience with this service. Ride from my home to the airport was perfect. When we arrived at the airport the drive asked for payment. I explained we paid online. He said that just holds the reservation and insisted on cash a payment. So we paid him. The return trip was a nightmare. I phoned them 6 times and they kept saying the driver was coming. After 45 minutes we took an uber for less money. The agent on the phone hung up on me when I told them I was cancelling. Rude and no apology. Then to add insult to injury I indeed had a credit card charge for the outbound service. I emailed and called multiple times. I made reservation 10 days in advance for a very early pickup (2:30am). They called the night before to confirm but mentioned a later pickup time. He said "3am was in his computer". I told him I was looking at the email confirmation that said 2:30am. He wouldn't budge. I told him "fine come at 2:45". Sure enough, showed up at 2:57. So if you have an early morning pickup, walk it back 30 mins from when you need to leave. Then driver literally had to use turn by turn on google maps to get to SFO and felt like was driving with foot on gas and brake. When we got to SFO he almost took out pedestrians in the cross walk. DO NOT BOOK. Dishonest and they will ruin your trip. I booked online. They sent me an email confirmation for 5am. They have a 24-hour cancellation policy, but waited until 12 hours before my ride to have an employee call to tell me they could only do 5:30am and that if I didn't accept I would be charged anyway because of their 24-hour cancellation policy. The employee tried to convince me I did not need 2 hours before an international flight. That's my decision, not theirs. I asked them to cancel and confirm they are not charging me, but no response. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS OUTFIT IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR TRIP. I have to say the employee was very nice and I felt bad that I was putting her in the middle of a fight. Just the worst. I will never use them again. I just got a new boss and I needed to get her picked up from OAK airport late at night. I even reconfirmed two days before to make sure they would be there. All looked to be fine - until of course they didn't show. She called them - they said they did not have a reservation - yet she had a confirmation email. I called them today to have them explain. Do not use this company! I ordered 2 vans because my party had 10 people and we had a lot of luggage. Western eagle knew this because: 1. They recommended 2 vans; and 2. I also emailed them to confirm we had a lot of luggage (10 girls on shopping trip) So for our transfers - one van turned up both times - could barely fit luggage in and luggage packed dangerously - if driver had to brake - we would have been seriously injured. Never again. Driver was 30 minutes late for my private charter hire. When I asked "what happened", Vanilla Ice told me "it's not my fault". When I mentioned that he is an ambassador for the company and he should perhaps apologize on their behalf, he whined and moaned "I've just been on a 3 hour drive" etc. Update: he just told me that he has to stop by the office first. SERIOUSLY. Update 2: his reason to stop by the office (a 20 minute detour) was to pick up his paycheck. Do you know what he said? "My rent is two days late. There's no way I'm missing my paycheck just because YOU have to catch a flight." HE LITERALLY SAID THAT!!!! Lunging followed (by him). Insults, threats. Eventually I barked at him to pull over and hailed a cab. His response? "You're the worst customer I've ever had." My response: "F$&@ you." I called these guys a moment ago for a van transport to the airport. Rate was fine but when I told them I had a service dog they added on a fee for that. I gently let him know that that it was a service dog and that they go free anywhere. He said it's still going to be a charge. I gently let him know that it's illegal to charge for a service dog. His response was " well then you can sue me". If ever there have been giant lawsuits it has been over ADA and service issues. The guy is not smart and not professional. If it was possible to give this company ZERO stars, I would. I booked online to receive the $4.00 discount, then called when I did not receive a confirmation email. I asked to book a charter ride to the airport and a shared ride on the way home, and she said that was fine. However, the morning of my pickup, the driver called and said he was running about 20 minutes late and we still had to stop for another passenger. I called the company, and the RUDEST man I have ever talked to answered (BTW, his name is Chris). He told me too bad, I was booked for a shared ride. I told him to just cancel my ride and that he should not charge my credit card since they messed up. He said he would not give me a refund, and when I said I would report him to the local news, he laughed and said he still had my money... What a rude person. I barely made my flight due to their incompetence. On the way home, I had to wait 25 minutes for the driver to pick me up, since he was in Olema!!! And then we had to stop and get gas.... When I called to ask where the driver was, Chris answered again, and said the driver was on his way, but wouldn't give me an ETA. When I told him I was waiting alone in the dark in an empty parking lot, he laughed and said I would be fine, I was at the airport!! I never received my online booking discount of $4, and when I asked about it, I was told their prices had gone up! Seriously, overnight??? Can you believe the rudeness???? I was referred to Western Eagle Shuttle thru a friend when I was traveling to SFO for a trip to Egypt. The office was easy to work with and we scheduled a pick up time for 4:30-4:45 on Thursday evening as my flight was as 8:35 pm. I got a followup call from the office the night before saying the driver would be on time. The day of my trip I was outside waiting for the shuttle at 4:30 pm. I received a call from the office at 5:00 pm saying the driver would be a little late, how late I asked and they couldn't say exactly, maybe 15 minutes. By 5:35p.m. he still wasn't here so I called office to find everyone had already left, no answer. By that time I knew I'd better get another way to the airport so I drove myself and just barely made it due to heavy evening traffic. Apparently the driver was at my house for pickup at 5:55 and wondered where I was. Duh!! I wouldn't recommend Western Eagle Shuttle ever and it too bad as this is a service north of the Golden Gate bridge that we need. Save your money and time and go another way! read more

I'm leaving this review on behalf of my wonderful mother. "BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE. Owner Chris was verbally abusive towards me on the phone. I had a 6:15am reservation, some driver calls at 4:45am and demands he's coming early, and if I don't agree to it, he has another airport run already. I call the owner twice, with no response even now days later. I wasn't sure if I was going to get picked up at all. The driver shows up on time, in an unsafe looking van that smelled strongly of marijuana, and didn't have a working seatbelt. I cancelled my ride back from the airport 5 days in advance. I asked for a confirmation number, and the owner said that they 'don't give them'. I get to the airport at 4pm on the way back prepared to take another mode of transport home. The owner calls and says 'are you there?' I say 'why are you calling me? I cancelled' he said 'no you didn't, I'm charging you' and hung up on me. I call the owner and say 'I did cancel with you' he said 'it's because of people like you who LIE that I get a visa upfront!' and then hung up again. He fraudulently charged my visa for a reservation that I had cancelled FIVE DAYS IN ADVANCE. The policy is 24 hours. He said to me 'go ahead and try to fight this you're gonna lose' and hung up on me again. Don't EVER use Western Eagle Shuttle. The owner is an abusive crook. I tried to tell the owner what happened on the ride down, and he still denies ever receiving my messages about what happened." read more

Every time I fly from SFO or OAK this is the company I go with. The reason is not just that they arrive always on time but their vans are very clean and spacious.They accommodate me with transportation when i needed the most. Last time I needed to book my shuttle on line. Reason was I have got last minute deal on South-West flight to JFK. I needed to fly next early morning and no one is picking up the phone at 1AM in the morning. I give them a try via their site. Got confirmation in my email. I have prepared my self for Uber ride but George called me around 4AM to say he is on his way and will be at my motel in 25 min. Great timing George. He arrived on time and drived me to OAK on time too. I will be using this company always! It was cheaper than Uber and Lift too. Thank you guys! read more

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. If you take the risk of using them, pay cash. Used them for a ride to the airport in October, which was ok. The van was old and smelled bad, but they arrived on time and got us to OAK on time. The real problem was on the return trip; they had our flight info and could have checked to see that it was arriving on time; decent rerserve-ahead ride service companies do this. Regardless, I followed the instructions and called as soon as we cleared customs. They said 20-25 min. 50 min later, still no ride. It's now 8 pm, we just got off an international flight and we're exhausted. Dispatcher said the driver was stuck in traffic; I told the him that we would wait no more than 15 more minutes. I was generous - we waited 25 more minutes, and still no ride. So we took an Uber. There was no traffic surrounding OAK airport in any direction - we checked (it was 8 pm on a Saturday night, the traffic story was ridiculous to begin with). They lied. Oh, and Uber was $10 less - $65 as opposed to the $75 that Western Eagle CHARGED ME ANYWAY, despite never arriving. I called and emailed them, no response. Needless to say the charge has been contested. Terrible service, don't use this company. UPDATE: I contested the November charge of my card for service never provided. They have now proceeded to charge my card every month since, in January, February and March, for a total of $225. They're just blatently abusing my credit card number at this point. I used Western Eagle for a second time--this time for a round-trip SFO service. No complaints at all. Both times there was a second passenger, but it didn't delay me at all. I did feel a bit sorry for the San Rafael passengers who had to take a detour into Tiburon, but if you don't have time for that, definitely don't book a shared ride service. They picked me up promptly from home, and I only had to wait 5 minutes at SFO. Very good value. They didn't try to hit me with any extra charges. read more

I'd like to share our recent experience with Western Eagle, and encourage all to use alternative transportation for safety reasons. We were double booked- I specifically ordered a charter van so that we would not be hurried or bother any other passengers. When I opened the door to the van, I was surprised to see another passenger. He had also requested a private car. He told me that the driver had told him that I called that morning to request an earlier ride so he needed to combine our fares. Not true. The driver aggressively hurried us, complaining loudly as my husband was making sure all doors were locked. It took EIGHT minutes from the time he arrived to the time we drove away. The driver drove 80 mph - an illegal speed, obviously. We have pictures of this. And YELLED at my husband, in front of our children, when he was asked to please slow down as we were scared for our safety. He blamed us for making him late to the airport. Ironic when we requested a private van. The drive answered his phone 3 times while driving - handheld, not Bluetooth or speaker- also illegal. We have pictures of that as well. The company gave us a $2 discount to make up for this. I will never use this company again read more
