This place doesn't make their own beer but they have lots of guest taps for breweries in the surrounding area. It's a good variety of beers to choose from and it looks like there is at least one food truck available sometimes in case you get hungry. The main draw for why we came here was to see the llamas and indeed we dis see some. One of them gave us some attitude and then sauntered off down a hill, taking it's less moody companion with it. They were funny and with the attitude I got and the name of the place I posted the Eminem song "My Name Is" where the lyrics "Slim Shady" get mentioned on Instagram because I thought it was all quite fitting. In addition to seeing the llamas we saw a great view of Hill Country. There was a lot of seating when we were here and could pick pretty much anywhere we wanted to sit. This is not a mom-and-pop shop in a small town, so they should not have anywhere near an $8 markup on a $19 bottle of liquor. I feel the need to call out a clearly limited selection, but compared to the box stores around where I live that have more real estate, I suppose it is perfectly acceptable that they would have a much smaller [and less varied] offering than I'm used to seeing.

The beer here though, is very, very old school. It wasn't technically deficient in any way, but I found all the beer to be pretty bland. If you're not into IPA's though, that might be a good thing. There was only one IPA on tap and it was lot like an amber ale with a very sweet caramel malt quality to it. I also felt like the prices were pretty high compared to other SATX breweries. If you don't like hops and like maltier beers and/or you're into Jazz, it's definitely worth a shot.

The mushroom on our Verde pizza were slim pickings and the advertised arugula was swapped for lettuce. They're not the same leafy green, and we noticed. Had there been more toppings, and had they been the correct ones, this could have been a nearly perfect pizza. Other than that, the beer is cheap and they have pasta dishes I'd like to try in the future. The place is also still under construction, even though the dining room with its high dark ceilings, fans and (too) many TVs is ready to receive diners. It was warm to start but the AC caught up in a reasonable time. Ma enjoyed the usual house salad with the rest of us and a dish of meatballs since she's given up carbs; was very satisfied with the flavor/texture. Her husband ordered his absolute usual, the fettuccine chicken alfredo. I can truthfully swear in court he HAS actually tried and enjoyed other dishes, but I think he himself has forgotten that fact. Mr R, eating vegetarian this day, had the eggplant parmigiana which still had a lovely crisp on it and enough sauce/cheese to complement without becoming overwhelming. The last 2/5 of his plate was full of spaghetti marinara and he cleared the entire thing even after a sub at Angellis for lunch. I had the chicken cacciatore for the first time in a while, and while warned it was a little spicy found it was a lovely gentle heat. The chicken cutlets do seem a little smaller since the last time but I could be wrong. The basket of rolls, in contrast, was ginormous. I don't think I recall being served that many for a party of four here, but again. Perhaps I misremember. Naim took great care of us in between the other tables and several to go orders. He always does and he loves a clean table. No one had room for dessert and we didn't win the fight for the tab so I can't tell you the actual price. Took home that mountain of fresh rolls and they fed Mr R and myself the entire next day just enjoying buttered rolls, tomato sandwiches, and using up leftovers in the fridge like brisket and the rest of my chicken cacciatore. We lingered a long time catching up and no one rushed us. Bathroom is aged but clean.
