Management lacks basics communication skills and coordination amongst their property management staff and residents. After expressing concerns with patio furniture being damaged from neighbors above they never resolved the issue and encouraged us to resolve the issue our selves instead of becoming involved. Ashley Johnson was specifically bad at following up on this issue and seems more concerned with property parties. After complaining about loud banging at all hours or the morning and night she said it was children up stairs and after doing my own investigation I came to realize it was simply the storm/fire doors catch that had broken and would slam shut when opened. I also talked to surrounding neighbors and simply had to ask them to be mindful when opening their and shutting their doors which resolved the issue for the most part. We also noted several of the management staff smoking on premises even though it's a none smoking property. I terminated the lease agreement within four months because how incompetent they were. Be very careful when considering this property. read more

I'm a recent move-in and had Jazmin as my leasing agent. I often don't leave reviews for apartment complexes since I am usually let down but I cannot say that for Westerly. Jazmin was excellent in assisting with answering all my questions. Both Jazmin and Dee were incredibly welcoming on my initial tour and later when I returned to sign a lease. I have not been on a tour where the leasing agents were both knowledgeable AND friendly. I am beyond impressed with the service I have received. As for the property, I did get the apartment unseen, which is always a huge stressor. Westerly has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee that I've seen no where else. And no wonder because the place looked almost new besides superficial scratches. The maintenance team were quick and friendly when some fixes were needed in the first few days. I have been living here for nearly a month now and I have no complaints. The A/C and appliances all work great and are modern (which you should expect for the higher price point of these apartments). Despite being backed to 470, I can't hear traffic within the apartment. At this time, I can't recommend Westerly more and I appreciate Jazmin and Dee for making me feel so welcome. read more

Dog poop always around the premisis, trash blowing through the development that never gets picked up, amenities that no one can use or no one cares about, management that ignores it's commmunity, parking down the street unless you pay even more just not to be towed, rent hikes with no upgrades just downgrades... Recently applied for a lease here and the experience was awesome. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Really close to the the hills and mountains so the view is great as well. I chatted a lot with their leasing agent Dee. She was very nice and was patient with me as I had a lot of questions. I had a great time living here. Proximity to trails/mountains is incredible. Gym /pool is pretty awesome year round. Never had any issues, front desk and maintenance crew were great. Unacceptable! Dirty! The cost to live here is outrageous for what you get. Packages are stolen every time we order something for delivery. The office will not call the police for any violations or legal issues; residents are responsible for reporting crimes on the property. Honestly this place is shit show. And I mean a fricken shit show. If you are a person of color or young you WILL be discriminated. They do NOT care if you have any complaints on your neighbors or a problem with their own staffing. If you move here you will hear "deal with it" a lot and being ignored. I can not beg anyone enough who chooses to move here to NOT MOVE HERE! Racists live here and the leasing office allows physical and emotional harassment to your neighbors. I have had MULTIPLE run ins with the manager and the staffing here. Since day one I have been targeted by the staff at the Westerly Complex. I have been pushed to the side, ignored, told to "deal with it" by Tim Loveless and hung up on and very mistreated by Hannah Peterson. After my run in with the leasing office I decided to reach out to the managers who I was told was just Jennifer Louth. After 3 months of living here and blocked every time to talk to the manager I was told by Hannah that Ashlee is one of the managers. Well this is shit, I have been filing complaints of people egging my car, keying it, throwing and leaving trash in front of my door and garage deliberately and was told by Ashlee "there is nothing I can do about it, call the cops". So I did, and was told that it is private property to talk to the manager office. I did and what went down is in the video I posted below. The issue I had was signs I had put out on my car outside my garage. (photos posted below). The signs I had up were "my body my choice", "women's rights are human right's", "all lives matter", "water is life" and "science is real". I was told by Ashlee that there are consequences to me putting those signs up stating that it is okay for the neighbors to trash my car and outside my garage. Later being told again that I had to take my signs down even though they were on my car, they said because my car was on there property it id there property so I am not allowed to have signs out. Don't do it, and if you do, don't expect any deposit money back when you move out. You will also pay for the entire month even if you move out in the first week of the month. They will tell you that they'll give you a refund check for the weeks payed for that you didn't live there. Then after your gone, they say your not getting anything back. Westerly has the most unresponsive, unprofessional leasing team I've ever dealt with. If you're looking at Westerly, I'd suggest driving down the street to Bell Ken Caryl or Avalon Red Rocks -- same builder, identical apartments, different/more established management. Nathan is the flakiest salesperson I've ever dealt with. I applied and called/emailed daily for 5 days to get an answer - crickets from Nathan. If a property has a completely unresponsive leasing team, I can't imagine they handle maintenance requests/emergencies in a timely fashion. Avoid at all costs. read more

I am a current resident of the Westerly Apartments. From my original tour through moving in the team was great. Jen helped me find the perfect apartment to meet my needs. Tim helped with a second tour to show my son. Ashlee was great answering the million questions I had. When I moved in they gave me a beautiful welcome package. The service and repair team is very responsive. The community is very new and clean. I have been living here for about 4 months and I am very happy. We toured this place, and it was amazing. The leasing Consultant Tim was super awesome. When I called to schedule a tour, they actually answered their phone, and I was able to speak to a live person on-site. It's still under construction, but nearly complete. There is a walking trail around the perimeter. We noticed a lot of young professionals as we took our tour. They are allowing amenities to be open with proper social distancing measures. The one thing I didn't like is that not all units have walk-in closets in the bedrooms. The units are a little dark too, so if you like an airy feel with a lot if natural light, this may not be the place for you. It's worth checking out, and the view of the foothils is 360. read more

While I do enjoy living here and it's a great place to move into if you're on your own for the first time, I will say the parking situation here is ridiculous. I paid for carport parking, never got a car port, there isn't enough apartment parking spaces near my apartment so I'm consistently walking across the entire property just to get to my residence. I don't mind, but I also work 10-13 hour days on my feet so the added footwork isn't 100% appreciated. we had dealt with multiple braker issues in the time I've been here, as well as really noisy upstairs neighbor (to the point where we can hear every step they take in their apartment) And it's a bit of a nuisance. overall, my biggest grievance is the lack of parking and I really hope a solution is found to that soon. read more

We have been working with Nathan virtually since we moved from out of state. He has been extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. He sent us pictures and responded to all of our phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. Since we have moved in, the entire staff has been great! It is a new build, so there are going to be a few construction related issues, but management has been responsive and understanding. I've see Ashley move up in the company through out this time and new people coming in and old people going out, everyone has always been so helpful and understanding with everything I've gone through well living here. Just not quite five stars YET. I was part of the first round of move ins here at the Westerly Apartment homes. As with any new move ins there were and are some glitches, but let's talk the positives! Brandy and Tara... these two ladies are the leasing agents here and they have made this place feel like home from the beginning. I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you for all tour hard work ladies... it 100% appreciated by me and the rest of the tenants. The views here are wonderful and for being off the highway it's actually pretty quiet. The apartments are stunning and have all the fancy appliances that one could want. There's something about a new home that smells amazing. There are trails to hike or bike so there's always some new adventure waiting. Now there is some things that new work... amenities aren't open for tenant use yet and that's a total bummer... cause I'm missing out on some sun and a good workout after I get off work. Hoping that is is going to be fixed ASAP. There is construction going but they folks out here working are polite and working hard, I respect that so much, but it would be nice if they cleaned up after themselves. There was some confusion when it came time for me to move in and to be honest it wasn't handled well to start, but thankfully I some encouragement and support from Brandy, Tara and Heather to smooth things out and get things on track. Parking.... I think it could become an issue as more people move in but as of now there is plenty of spaces for everyone and hoping it stays that way. This place has pretty much been a nightmare from the beginning. I guess I should have known that's what I get moving into a brand new complex. They CLEARLY have things they need to figure out, so keep that in mind before choosing this place. My dryer did not work from the beginning (it took two trips from maintenance for them to even believe me and fix the issue), my hot water is randomly on fire sometimes to the point where I can't even take a shower and no one has tried to address that issue even though I've sent numerous emails about it, they have multiple carports just sitting there and haven't let residents use them yet if you have one on your lease (says they haven't been released by construction yet), but they continue to let people park under them without charging them! Super unfair considering I have a carport listed on my lease and I get to watch some other car park in my spot every day. They opened in October and have already switched head Property Managers. Which hasn't helped anything because my emails still go ignored and not responded to on a regular basis. Like I said, they clearly have things to figure out. The building is fine but was clearly built very fast. Random scratches on my floor and dings in my door and microwave, but that's whatever. You can definitely also count on the parking lot being an ice rink for a good portion of the year with the way these buildings face (so much of the parking lot is in the shade). All unfortunate about the property but the lack of good customer service is just mind boggling to me. read more

Pros: Location is great, beautiful grounds, maintenance staff is awesome, very clean and beautiful amenities. Tara in the leasing office is wonderful! Cons: Traffic is loud, walls are thin and you can hear your neighbor closing their cupboards or drawers and talking. There's a frontage road outside the entrance and lots of 18 wheelers or people living in their camper will park there and sleep. One of my neighbors has 2 REALLY BIG dogs and they jumped on my back 2 times and were barking and scratching my back while i was walking down our stairwell. My neighbor (let's call him Jerk) pulled them off of me and I told him if they ever did that again, I would file a complaint with Animal Control. Jerk got in my face and told me to "f" off and was screaming obscenities in my face, then he ran off to the leasing office. I followed him and we screamed at each other on the way there. He ran inside and complained to the leasing staff that I was a "B" and I hated his dogs. Leasing staff had to break up our argument and they filed an incident report on us (which was not releasable due to housing authority rules). I filed a complaint with the county animal control and they issued him a warning on his front door and said his dogs displayed aggressive behaviors and the dogs had to wear a mussel whenever he took them outside. Heather, the leasing office manager, called me that night and offered me to move out without having to pay for any penalties and i had a week to think about it. She said she offered the move out offer to Jerk too. What? I was floored that she made me that offer. I did absolutely nothing wrong! Then the next morning i had a nail in two of my tires and had to take my car to a tire store and get them fixed. Jerk walks around now with his dogs and tries to campaign other residents to hate me (I've heard this from other residents who confided in me). Two other residents have also been attacked by his dogs but they are too afraid to put in a complaint to animal control because of how he reacted towards me. Very upsetting to see someone that is totally innocent getting the shaft. read more
