After doing a significant extension on our house, these guys provided flooring in almost every room of the house. They did: - Pergo in large kitchen/diner, utility room and WC - Herringbone wood (Ted Todd) in hallway - Carpets in play room, living room, new master bedroom suite, stairs & landing Adrian was the main contact for us. What Adrian doesn't know about flooring probably isn't worth knowing. He is obsessed with floors and will give you all the advice you want. He advised us very well during the flooring selection phase, and he personally fitted the Pergo and Herringbone wooden floor. His fitting skills are second to none - having now seen his workmanship and attention to detail there is no-one else I would choose to fit a Pergo or wooden floor. Another thing worth mentioning: when he came to fit the wooden floor in the hallway, he discovered that where the porch had been extended, the floor was not level with the existing floor, and he could fit the wood. We got in the builder who said there was nothing they could do for a week or two. We were talking about re-scheduling the fit, but instead Adrian called a colleague to bring in some materials, and he proceeded to lift the new floor, cut back the original floor and pad and lay new board levelling out the entire floor. He was then still able to get the Herringbone on top to finish the job the same day. He really saved us on that one - it wasn't his job to fix the underlying floor, but he stepped in and did it anyway - a real professional. Adrian and his assistant Garry (who does the cutting, allowing Adrian to crack on with laying) work pretty much non-stop, never even accepting a cup of tea! The carpets were fitted by the carpet fitting team who were helpful, courteous, professional and did a great job. I see there is a negative review here on Yelp that seems to relate to a personality clash with Adrian. Of course I can't comment on what happened there, but if you look at the 'Not Recommended' reviews they are more representative of my experience. Adrian is an interesting character. A little obsessed with flooring perhaps, but that's not a bad thing in a flooring professional! After our experience I would definitely recommend him and his colleagues at Westbrook. read more

I have been using Westbrook Carpets and Laminates for years now and my floors are still in excellent condition.I recently decided to go for a Natural wood floor . I was looking on the reviews to see if there were any recommendations. I was shocked to see some of the harsh comments from a few people. I have over the years been treated with excellent customer service , in the shop itself and also when Adrian came out to measure up he was excellent and gave me invaluable advice before i made my final decision. Ican say that i had not been given this advice from other companys that i had in to get quotes for . When Adrian and Gary attended to fit the floors, they were totally proffesional and respected my property and also worked without stopping for breaks ,and left everywhere outstandingly clean . I had the same experience when Mike and Dave fitted the carpets in the bedroom. It was fantastic to have people you could trust .I must note that one of the people who have put a negative comment on here really need to check what they put .Asda is not (ASADA) and as for the comment on the tacky (sweat) machines im assuming they mean sweet , I have to add that when my Grandaughter attended at the shop whilst we were selecting our flooring ,she was happy with the SWEET machines as for a young child it can be slightly boring whilst Nan and Grandad select flooring. Have been renovating my house over the last 15 months and got to the stage where we needed carpets and flooring. Got a quote off ABC flooring for the quickstep elite and basic carpet throughout, they required me to spend over £400 on plywood for under the laminate. Had Adrian recommended by a friend, gave him a call and it was the best thing I did. He told me that there was no need to buy all the ply and just to put thin stuff down where needed to level off the floor and then he can screed around any low patches. He gave me advice on how to fill in the gaps where the walls where and also how to stop the floor joist bouncing in the bay, even tips on fitting the skirting boards afterwards. All in all he is a top bloke, could not recommend him highly enough, extremely happy with the finish, very neat around the fireplace hearths where i was worried about. He even came back to change a board after my fiance managed to chip the plank in the middle of the floor, he managed to get the plank out and change it without any sign of him being here. Went back to westbrook carpets and laminates for the carpets, adrian came round and recommended which products were best suited to our needs, went with his recommendation on the stairs and I am delighted with it, a nice simple cream stripe to tie in the dark floor with the cream carpets. I had a laminate floor fitted by Adryan last week and I have nothing but praise. Originally, he came out and measured up and gave me lots of advice regarding which laminates to choose based on traffic, waterproofing etc. Then, one the fitting day, as promised the 3 of them arrived bright and early. They set to work levelling the floor as there was a dip in the middle. Also, I have a granite fireplace which had been laid on top of old laminate and needed some work to cut back to ensure the new floor fitted flush underneath. Once they were happy with the preparation they fitted the laminate and it looks amazing. My wife is over the moon with it as am I. I have to say, I don't believe the one bad post about Adryan being abusive and threatening as I found him to be polite and kept me informed of everything he was doing at all stages of the installation. i am now the proud owner of my first house,and with the service ,quality and workmanship of westbrook carpets and laminates A beautifully floored house ,the comments i have read ,really are strange as from the first moment i walked in the service was great ,they left you alone when you needed space and then were there with advice when required . The manager Eric and John helped us with the carpets and mike and Dave are two of there carpet fitters who fitted them were fantastic. but with regards to the laminate flooring the bad comments i have read can not be further away from the truth Adrian came out on a seperate occasion and showed us using an iPad what we could do in what rooms and how he could cut the skirtings in place and the perfect condition it would be left in , anyone who wants to put this company down obviously have never used them . fantastic job read more

Me and my boyfriend have just bought our first house which needed fully re-decorating and new carpets/flooring throughout the whole house. After shopping around for quality carpets for a good price we opted for westbrook carpets and laminates as we felt they offered competitive prices for quality flooring. The owner Adrian came out and measured the whole house for us after we had gutted and extended the property and worked the fitting times around us. I have just bought my floor from Westbrook Carpets, and also had it fitted by Adrian and his Team, I found them very reasonably priced for both, that also gave me lots of little hints and tips to help clean and preserve my floor (as the last company I used left the floor in a bad way) hence me needing it replacing so soon) I found the fitters very polite ( sorry I forgot there names). Whilst trying to decide on the best flooring for our new kitchen, Westbrook Carpets were recommended to us by our kitchen fitter. He said you will get the best fit and the team will cut the floor under the skirting boards, which was what we wanted instead of having beading fitted. We contacted Adrian for advice and a quote. The quality of the fit is superb due to Adrian's craftsmanship and attention to detail. We now intend to extend the flooring into the lounge and fit new carpets in the hall stairs and landing. Hi I would jus like to say I have jus had my three beds, stairs and landing fitted with carpet and my hallway with beautiful pergo flooring and I can honestly say what a fantastic job the westbook team did from start to Finnish. I decided to use Westbrook Carpets and Laminates when I noticed that they sponsored a local 5K run that I took part in. I had laminate floors fitted in my lounge hall and bedroom and carpet fitted in the hall and landing. The quality of the finished floors was so good freinds of ours decided to copy us and choose the same flooring which they had throughout their house in Liverepool.The staff were great to deal with and did the job while I was at work leaving no mess.I am made up with the finished floors and would definately use Westbrook again and am happy to recommend freinds and family. read more

Can't praise these lads enough. The whole process from going into the shop to choose, Adrian coming out to measure and quote and the fitting went smoothly. The cost was very competitive compared to other quotes I had had from other suppliers in the Warrington area. I have had me whole house fitted with laminate flooring. Adrian came on three occasions over the last eighteen months. He gave me no fuss quotations for the work and saved me money on my laminate. He did an excellent job with no mess and quality workmanship.
