It's meant to remove grease and grime, but I had to try it and omg. It made my hands feel so soft and smooth and smelled so nice, I was so excited. I also figured I'd grab some coffee, and I was expecting the typical sparse gas station set up, but I didn't realize they had specialty coffee here! I tried the Cinnamon Roll Cold Brew and I'm still in awe at how delicious it was. I was already a happy camper, when I noticed the glass cabinet full of handmade glass trinkets. Of course I wanted a souvenir to remember this 10/10 gas station experience, so I ended up purchasing the cutest little glass gecko. They do also have showers and over the loud speaker, you could hear the announcement when the next one was available. It seemed like a very organized process. When I called the morning of my stay I was rudely told no. At checkin the desk clerk ran my credit card multible times, which basically tied up all my existing credit for the duration of my stay. When I pointed out to her that it was an error on her part, she told me if I was unhappy I could go elsewhere. I would have gladly done so if she had not just tied up the bulk of my resources. My room was at the end of a hallway with most of the lights not working and most of the ceiling tiles gone. I opened the curtains to find the outer pane of glass broken and discolored water standing in what was left. The cover to the AC unit was loosely hanging and in need of repair. The mini fridge was sitting atop the desk area and unplugged. Again, I would have chose to leave had her error not tied up all of my existing credit. Every interaction with her or if she was present was increasingly rude and spiteful. Easily one of my worst experiences ever.

While it isn't fully updated in decor, it is clean, and the beds are comfortable. My only issue is that upon arrival, we discovered that the table in our room was broken -- one of the legs was cracked and snapped, but you wouldn't notice it unless you tried to place something on it. We notified the staff, but I don't think they were able to do anything about it. Another problem: the faucet wasn't working properly. It only produced really hot water, no matter which direction it was turned, and it also leaked at the knob. I've see a lot of good reviews, so I'm sure this place has seen better maintenance in the past. I can't imagine the pandemic has been helpful for business. Bottom line: it's clean, you get what you pay for. I'm glad I stayed there, though.
