This was our first time at this location. It's smaller than the location in Puyallup yet still…read morecharming and chock full of garden and gift ideas. Lovely decorated Christmas trees for the season (I liked the candy-themed one), abundant Christmas decor and ornaments, as well as kitchen and of course plants and gardening tools. A range of prices. Located just off a main road on the Federal Way side (but also shows up as Auburn address, both are okay as far as I know). Has parking. We went for a holiday mixer. The staff was fabulous. Friendly and helpful. The space was welcoming. They had drinks and snacks on offer. I was pretty impressed that the drinks were given in real glasses! A classy affair.

I went to this nursery with my wife over the weekend not knowing a single thing about gardening. We wanted to spruce up our patio but have had a bad history with plants as they always seem to perish before they bloom. We were approached by Mr Rick outside in the garden area and were asked if we needed assistance. Not only did he take the time to explain to us what might work best for us he also gave us plenty of options when it came to budget. You can tell that Mr Rick truly loves his work and is passionate about this nursery. Now, not only is Watson's beautiful but the prices are very very reasonable. The selection is huge and they even had some more exotic plants. The entire experience made this new adventure worthwhile for my wife and I. Also, if you see Mr Hobbs, give him a nice belly rub.

But: go there again the following week and everything may be different. Grab what's good when you can catch it. Their produce section which is constantly changing is generally very good. Their garden supplies such as planting soil etc are always goof and reasonably priced. What they're not: They are not like a nursery such as East Hill Nursery, where people who are garden and botanical specialists can help you find what's best for your situation and explain best options for you. They're rather a clearinghouse for commonly popular flowers, plants & supplies. But they do that well. Their structure and employees are great and the lines move quickly.

Even though it was a weekday morning and there were still a few parking spots available, the place was already busy with customers. The greenhouse was filled with beautiful hanging flower baskets everywhere, creating such a colorful and cheerful atmosphere. Most of the baskets were priced around $35-$45, and of course I ended up finding one I absolutely loved and bought it. I also picked up some locally harvested honey while I was there. Before leaving, I made sure not to forget the organic seeds I originally came for: zucchini mix, mixed salad greens, sprout mix, and herb mix. This is always one of my favorite places for gardening inspiration, seasonal flowers, and local products.
