The buffett was very standard, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, assorted pastries, you know the drill. I looked through their menu and asked if they could do a French toast. They said it was on the menu and it wasn't. I then took a gamble. I told them to warm up some bananas and brown sugar and place that as a sauce on top of the French toast. Essentially trying to force them to make a impromptu bananas foster type French toast They tried, and the results were pretty good! They didn't actually warm up the bananas and brown sugar. Instead they warmed up the bananas and sprinkled brown sugar over the dish. They did add extra cinnamon so they mostly got it right. Then they put warm maple syrup on the base and put the French toast on it Although execution wise it was a slip, the flavors were all there. The French toast was custardy and cinnamon forward with the brown sugar, warmed banana, and maple syrup made for a great sweet bite. Price was 14 with the add-ons (not pictured is a very large bowl of vanilla ice cream. Little too big to add into pictures) which also included orange juice, coffee, and a side fruit. You get your money's worth for sure. Overall, a pretty successful gamble. Not the best breakfast fare but they go above and beyond for the customer.
