Iberian Lounge - Beer and a pretzel and cheese board

Service was a little slow but it was a concert night (it just seemed understaffed)…read more but our server was friendly and very kind. They boast whiskeys from around the world and my friend ordered a unique cocktail - Bananas Foster Old Fashioned. The bar food was really good- the wings were my fave- fried but not breaded. The pretzel was so filling - meats and cheeses - like a charcuterie board. It was a great first and last stop to our concert night! It closes at midnight- wish it would stay open until 1 on concert nights.

I thought this was an ideal spot, so off we went. Iberian Lounge is located on the second floor of the hotel, off the fountain lobby across from Trevi 5. The space is kinda large for a lounge - they have a mixture of tables with soft furniture, a couple of couches, and stools at the bar. The decor has a somewhat Spanish theme (hence the name), and it matches the former hotel lobby it sits off of. In addition to the obligatory drinks, the lounge also serves food. We were gonna eat later, though, so we opted to just have the former. I was in Hershey so I wanted to try one of their signature drinks so I went with their Hershey's Kiss Signature Martini. This kinda blew my mind if I'm being honest - the drink was clear like a martini but it tasted so much like a Hershey's Kiss - my mind couldn't comprehend this as i consumed the delicious sips. Service was great, everyone was friendly and our drinks came out promptly. Overall, I had a great experience at Iberian Lounge - the drinks were fun, and the atmosphere was comfortable. This is an ideal place to chill while at Hotel Hershey.

Great service, good food, basic menu but customizable…read more Trying the breakfast spots around town. Lots of places not open till 7 or 8. This was one of the few places that was open, so came here for food. The ambiance is nice but old. This was a swanky place in the 00's but the times have changed. Not too far off from modern styles but not bad. Server was very kind, let me peruse the breakfast buffett and decide on my meal options. The buffett was very standard, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, assorted pastries, you know the drill. I looked through their menu and asked if they could do a French toast. They said it was on the menu and it wasn't. I then took a gamble. I told them to warm up some bananas and brown sugar and place that as a sauce on top of the French toast. Essentially trying to force them to make a impromptu bananas foster type French toast They tried, and the results were pretty good! They didn't actually warm up the bananas and brown sugar. Instead they warmed up the bananas and sprinkled brown sugar over the dish. They did add extra cinnamon so they mostly got it right. Then they put warm maple syrup on the base and put the French toast on it Although execution wise it was a slip, the flavors were all there. The French toast was custardy and cinnamon forward with the brown sugar, warmed banana, and maple syrup made for a great sweet bite. Price was 14 with the add-ons (not pictured is a very large bowl of vanilla ice cream. Little too big to add into pictures) which also included orange juice, coffee, and a side fruit. You get your money's worth for sure. Overall, a pretty successful gamble. Not the best breakfast fare but they go above and beyond for the customer.

We were visiting Harrisburg for about a day and a half so we didn't have a lot of time to check out…read moreall that the city had to offer. We were staying in the Crowne Plaza Hotel and since we didn't do too much research on the various restaurants in the area we ended up at Restaurant 23 because we thought it would be convenient. We were wrong. INTERIOR: The restaurant is located in the Crowne Plaza hotel and in viewing the photos from the previous reviews, it seems they have remodeled and added some pretty nice upgrades! ...But i'm afraid that's where the compliments end. SERVICE: This was a really nice restaurant. We were thinking the service would be great! We were wrong. To be blunt, service was terrible. We arrived about an hour and a half before closing to get something to eat before retiring for the night. There were only a couple people dining so we figured it shouldn't take long to eat and go. We were wrong. Our food took a little more than hour to arrive. How?! At that point we were the only couple in the restaurant. But we'll get to the food in a second. It took a bit to get seated and it took awhile for the waitress to greet us. We had a chance to check out the menu before arriving so we already had an idea of what we wanted. We didn't notice it at first because we were just looking at the food but at some point we noticed,at the top of the menu in big bold letters, they misspelled the name of their "Reastaurant." That is such a huge oversight considering "Reastaurant 23" was on every single menu and no one noticed. But okay fine, they didn't proofread but that doesn't mean the food isn't good. We were wrong. 45 minutes passed and the waitress told us that she checked on our food and it should be ready in a little bit. Once again, we were the only people in the "reastaurant" and there was no real explanation of why it was taking so long. Maybe they forgot the order. Maybe she didn't put it in the first place. Who knows? 20 Minutes later our food arrives. Great, surely this was worth waiting for... It wasn't. FOOD: It also seemed like our food had been waiting for awhile because it was pretty much lukewarm. We ordered the Prosciutto Margherita Flatbread and the Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta. The flatbread had a little too much cheese and the sogginess of the bread was off putting. Despite that, after taking off some of the cheese and eating some of the parts that weren't soggy, it wasn't too bad. As for the pasta, the sauce was thick, flavorless and looked like it had been dumped out of a jar. The waitress was pleasant throughout but we had to hunt her down to get the bill and for her to pick it up. It was nice of her to give us 25% off the bill due to the wait but the whole experience was just sour. We should have just went to Mcdonalds and called it a night.

The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The bartenders really know their craft, and the alcohol selection, including local beers, is solid. My only real issue is brunch. Every time I've visited after 12 p.m. (brunch is served until 2 p.m.), there's been a problem--either they're no longer taking food orders, the kitchen is backed up with a 45-minute wait, or they've simply run out of food. It comes off unprofessional and could definitely be handled better. I've noticed this becoming a growing trend during brunch service in general, and while some people suggest arriving as early as 10 a.m. for the best experience, consistency matters. If you're offering brunch, you should be properly staffed and prepared to serve guests throughout the full service window. Period. It's especially frustrating when you've traveled specifically to experience their culinary offerings and hit a wall like that. Overall, if you're looking for a spot that feels like a New York-style dive bar with elevated drinks and solid food--if you catch it at the right time--this place delivers. Just plan strategically if brunch is your goal.
