You'll probably find this to be an unbelievable story, but it's true. Over the course of several weeks I bought some readers glasses, took them home and used them for a few days and took each of them back for a refund under the seven day return policy. today I got a call from the owner, Mike Fisk, saying, and I quote, you are banned from shopping at this store. i'm 69 years old, and I've never experienced anything this silly and stupid in my life. Obviously, I'll never shop there again, I'm forbidden. But I'm telling anyone looking to shop there, you best go somewhere else. read more

Where is the option for 10 stars???!! I had the most amazing experience at this store this weekend. A little background info. I purchased an over the door shoe rack from amazon. The problem? I did not want it on the door. I wanted to mount it on the wall. However, the bracket included was not flat and did not have a hole in it for a screw. Now I am sure you are thinking well duh- it's for the door. I saw a picture on amazon where a customer mounted it on the wall, so I knew it was possible. I knew what needed to happen, but lacked the resources to do it. A friend suggested that I stop by an Ace Hardware To see if they could assist me. This advice was on point! First, the staff was extremely friendly from the moment I stepped foot in the store. I proceeded to the counter in the back and explained what was needed. Without hesitation, they looked at the brackets and said they could make it happen. They quoted me a more than reasonable price and performed the work. They even gave me some information on the correct way to mount the bracket. After getting my brackets I opted to walk around the store and shop a little. Who knew that you could buy candles, gift wrap, as seen on TV items, lunch boxes and so much more from the hardware store. This experience really made me feel as if I were in a small town family owned store! Not only was the service recommendable, but the prices were great . Oh and the kicker-- they gave me an even deeper discount than the original price they quoted me for the bracket. This experience has such an impact on me, I have already shared it with friends and family. If you are thinking of shipping with them --- JUST DO IT!! Not my favorite ace given how I've seen them treat people. I go to Peachtree Battle and Roswell road now. I also remember them trying to gouge folks for $5 for a roll of toilet paper during Covid. I'm all for free market pricing, but customers remember these kind of things.... read more

More Christmas decorations that anything hardware. This isn't a hardware store. It's a gift shop.

I usually love all Ace Hardwares but I Walked in this location 10 minutes before they closed, grabbed one item and was told "I needed to get my things and head to the front now". They were beyond rude to me and my daughter and I can't lie I felt a lot of racism. I never like to use that word and assume things like that. I then try to check out and they tell me I can't use any of my rewards that I had on the app. I would never shop at this location again. read more

Will NEVER go to this store. The employees are helpful and friendly but the owner is terrible. As others have said, he is condescending, rude, and has terrible interpersonal skills. Dealing with him was such an unpleasant ordeal, I will happily drive a few extra miles to an Ace hardware with better customer service. read more

Always had a bit of a dubious customer service experience with Ace Hardware. And this experience for sure makes it so that I'll continue to go elsewhere for my business. Driving up at 7:01, I guess they close at seven, as some guy is flipping the sign from open to close. I tell him I have one item I need, and I know where to get it. "Yeah, grunt...no we're closed." If I'd seen the sign said closed, i would not have parked!!! Flip the damn sign over before 7 pm if you're walking out the door right when you close for Petes sake. Yeah, Ace...you are closed. Closed to me permanently at this point. Sorry, Ace...this Ace Hardware is for sure has lost my business as I watch 6 people walk out over 5 minutes. I ran retail stores...we never closed down a customer like this. 1 minute late and crap grunting...no thanks, Ace!! I'm a remodeler...not just some occasional customer. I knew what I needed and where to get it...Home Depot or Lowes. Never been shut down, locked out or been told to leave at either of these stores. Part Gift Store ~ Part Hardware Store... that's why I love THIS location. If I'm in the area I like to stop by this Ace Hardware to see what's new. I've gotten a pretty tunic and a hammer here at the same time. Ha. They have a small but nice selection of paper goods, candles, stationery, Scout bags, jewelry and of course the regular hardware items. Fun to poke around in. read more

I will never be back to this location. Today I overheard an altercation between a young woman and the OWNER of this location (I believe his name is Mike) and was beyond appalled at the way he treated her with so much disrespect. He left this poor woman in tears it was awful to watch. The other workers even jumped in at one point to try and calm him down which is completely unprofessional on his part to get that worked up at a customer. Mike attempted to take advantage of a woman in a situation where I'm sure he assumed she wasn't knowledgeable. I won't be giving this sexist any more or my time or business and encourage everyone to instead visit one of the many other ace locations that don't treat their customers like trash. read more

This review is for the gift store within Ace. I just went to exchange a Christmas platter and the RUDE saleslady RUDELY said Dec 15th was the last day to return/exchange Christmas items. She had the worst customer service and stole the joyful Christmas spirit right out from under me, on my birthday no-less. She should not be a customer facing employee AND the return/exchange policy is ridiculous...10 days BEFORE Christmas?! Makes zero sense as a consumer. read more

Horrible service with an attitude...RUDE! Refused to honor a refund for holiday merchandise. I appreciate it's post holiday but taking care if my 84 yr old mother who has cancer so requested an exception to the store policy. Exception denied. Sometimes, you need to have endless choices and the cheapest possible prices. For those times, go to Lowe's or Home Depot. For me, though, going to Home Depot for a single, common item is just too much hassle. Whenever I go in to this Ace, I have several people offer to help - and they also know their stuff. This just... doesn't... happen at Home Depot anymore. *IF* you can find somebody, they often don't know the answer or act like you are wasting their time. The shopping experience here is just way better than the nearest Home Depot and for normal stuff, I highly recommend it. They also have beautiful orchids and what I call "a girlie section" that has cards, fancy gifts, etc. Odd for a hardware store, but cool, I guess, if you need some... potpourri and key lime cookies with your duct tape, wrench, fuel system cleaner and garden hose. read more

You cannot beat the customer service at this Ace Hardware in Buckhead. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The store is conveniently located at Northside Pkwy. and West Paces Ferry and shares a parking lot with Caribou Coffee and Houston's. This Ace has everything you need and then some! Great selection of home fix-it supplies and services like mixing paints and making keys. And then they have a great home decor and gift section at the front on the store. I was surprised at the great selection of unique items, such as candles and picture frames - great for last minute gifts! read more

I am a huge fan of shopping at Ace when given the choice! However, this store just isn't quite up to the true Ace quality standard. Part of the problem is the location. Another part is the service. This Ace is super small which forces the store to cram a whole lot of merchandise into a small amount of square footage. Walking through the store is tricky for fear of knocking items off their shelf! The aisles are super narrow, quite difficult for my father who has a walker to get down. The service is spotty at best. Sunday's apparently are not the time to hit the Ace. Although we were greeted outside the store by staff, once inside no one offered any assistance. We circled the store, lost, before we wound up back at the door and found someone to tell us where to find what we were shopping for. But did the staff take us to the location? No! Just pointed in the general direction and turned her back on us, dismissing us, leaving us on our own. Pissed me off terribly! I found that to be terribly rude. We did eventually find what we needed. Checking out was not easy either. I had to wave the item in the face of the cashier, literally waving!, before he acknowledged us with an "oh!" (like oh, did you want to check out?) and proceeded to check us out. Again totally pissed me off. We paid a really high price for the item, since I know WALMART would have carried it as well. I guess the store is more of a convenience place to shop. I don't like going there unless I just don't have the time to drive to Howell Mill for the Walmart, which is exactly what this Ace is banking on. read more

Coolest hardware store in town because they have a huge selection of gifts. They also have garden supplies, and more hard core supplies like weed wackers, tools, nails, etc. I found the service to be very good. I appreciate the small store. It is next to a shoe store and a good brunch place if you want to check those out too! read more

This little hardware store has much more than you can think of. I personally think that they have all general hardware you need. Parking is small which may take a while to find a space near by. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. read more

This store doesn't follow some of the national ACE Hardware sales. I came in for an item that was in the July 4th flyer for $2.99, regular price $4.99. The cashier/greeter stated that they were not participating in the sale. "Fine," I thought, "I'll just buy it for $4.99." When I found the item on the shelf, the price tag listed $11.99. Thanks but no thanks. This location doesn't have a return policy. All sales are final. I was told this as I checked out during a previous visit. So you better be certain that you are buying what you want. I've since learned that most ACE Hardware stores are franchised. The owner pays a fee for the right to call themselves an ACE store and then sets his own specific policies. There is no common return policy or store rules so buyer beware I guess. There is another ACE Hardware located nearby on Howell Mill that does allow returns. read more

I usually love going to this store because I can always find what I need fast. However, I was very disappointed with their customer service yesterday. I went to return 2 Christmas bows that were too small for what I need. The store wouldn't return them or give me store credit because it was Christmas merchandise (it is still well before Christmas). They wouldn't even return it for other Christmas merchandise. The sales associate was quite rude and didn't offer any apologies. read more
