Corporate was visiting this location today and some corporate team members even serviced checkout lines. I walked up to the shortest line and the cashier (Asian lady) informed me (Black lady) she could not check me out because she was pulling from the back of the line. No problem, I proceeded to wait in line. Other customers new to the check out line were also walking up to her register for check out not knowing the unique process. Immediately after me, she decided to ring up a (White lady) who did not have to wait in line AT ALL! Granted she only had one item, so did I. Hobby Lobby already has a BAD rapport with racism but this was the final straw. I did not feel valued as a customer or respected as a person. As someone who crafts and decorates for a living, I vow to never shop Hobby Lobby again. I will refer my clients, friends and family to shop elsewhere as well. read more

I went in on September 5th looking for these particular glass light bulbs but they have discontinued the large ones. I was a little disappointed but I still found some cool PAC-MAN socks for my son. Bright, clean, organized and family friendly. Absolutely would come back to Hobby Lobby on Cobb Parkway again. We came here to purchase some holiday ornaments for baby's first Christmas and was impressed by the variety of ornaments and selection. There are many price options too so you can find a gift for everyone's taste. The store was great and huge. You can easily find someone to help you. Service was good as the lines were a bit long. I really liked it in this store. It's a newer one and you can tell. The merchandise they had in stock was really good and prices fair. Things labeled well and aisles clean and well organized. I went on a Friday afternoon and they had certain items on sale. Hobby Lobby in general is good for that, regardless of location. It's really good when you catch them when the sales are happening. I've never known exactly when those sales are happening (if someone knows, please enlighten me :)). Store is huge, lots of parking in a shared lot with other businesses. I would definitely go again. It's one of those places you have to go multiple times to understand the layout of where things otherwise it could lead you to being in the store longer than you may have wanted to :). read more

Shout out to Marie the store manager wjo above and beyond to help me when I was stuck in line during last minute shopping. All hands were on deck, but the lines were still to the back of the store. The more I waited only inching closer to check out I, the more I realized I could live without the contents of my buggy and proceeded to put items back. After about 2 times of this Marie noticed and told me to come with her. She opened up another check out and got me put of there before my cart was empty. All while having a positive attitude and keeping the line open to help others. Also I love the deals here, there is always a section 40%-50% off which no one else competes with. Honestly the store is beautiful and huge. So many hobby lobby's are kind of dark and depressing but not the case with this one. I will say that the staff isn't very friendly here. I interacted with four people one my first trip today and all of them kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Ultimately it's a better in terms of stock and cleanliness than the ones closest to me, but just know the staff are all kind of rude. read more

Do not come to this store, at least this location. I'm not a crafter so I came in for the first time to buy one thing. I walked the store, couldn't find it, so I finally asked. First person said she didn't know and just walked away. Second person pointed to the other end of the store and said "try that way." I politely asked for more clarification as the entire rest of the store was "that way," and she responded with probably in aisles 1 through 8. Oh ok let me go meander around again. Nothing. I went to the front to ask the cashier if she could simply look up the item and tell me where it is. A manager came over since the lines were long and not moving, I assumed he could tell I just had a question, finally yay I'm going to get somewhere. He looked it up and said it should be by sewing. Ok, where is that?! He pointed in the vicinity of the left side of the store. Ok sure let go explore those 6 isles of sewing stuff. Couldn't find it. I left, went to Michael's, immediately asked for help since I've already wasted 20 minutes, the incredibly kind woman walked me directly to the item, I checked out in the very fast moving line, and I was out of the store in 3 minutes. read more

I have no idea why I get so excited about Hobby Lobby. Maybe it's because I see an endless possibility of craft ideas that could come to fruition orrrr maybe it's because they have such cute home goods for a price that fits my budget. Whatever the reason is, I was so happy when I found of there would be a location opening not too far from where I lived. Granted there is another one nearby but it's just not that spiffy. I came here to grab a few things for my son's first birthday party and they have absolutely everything I needed andddd I was able to use a coupon for 40% off coupon for one item which was awesome. They have everything from picture frames to painting supplies to greeting cards to baking supplies and I just love how everything is easy to find. The store is just huge and there are plenty of staff available should help be needed. There is also clear signage to help you along the way and I promise I could just hang out in that store for hours but then I'd buy way too many things. So happy to have this new location and I cannot wait to see what fun things I can create! read more

Talk about your hood growing! The Cumberland mall area continues to get new business, thinking its in part due to the Braves stadium. I was super excited to see Hobby Lobby take over the space formally known as Babies R Us. Previously the nearest location was in Kennesaw. I am in the market for some home decor and opted to finally step foot in the new Hobby Lobby. The staff did greet me upon entering. The store looks exactly like any other Hobby Lobby. I did note that there were a number of empty aisles. Not sure if this is due to it being a new store or a seasonal change of products. Outside of my initial greeting there was no additional support from staff. This is where I feel they can improve. The store is a decent size. It would be nice to have access to staff to point you in the direction of what you are searching for. If you are in the market for home decor their inventory is decent and varied. Although I did not find anything that I had to have this go around I would suggest you stop in for your hobby and home decor needs. read more

The store is nice and organized but the people that work there are less than helpful to the lunch hour crowd. I watched an associate stand and watch while another cashier, that was obviously having a problem, let the lunch time line grow longer and longer. She just stood there at the door and made sure the buggies were straight, while it was obvious that the customers were getting tired of waiting and walking out, one by one. I vow to never return and I really like Hobby Lobby. This location on Cobb Parkway at Aker's Mill is HORRIBLE! read more

They only insure custom framing for pieces valued up to $250. I was able to order and take the art home but when I went to get them to put it in the frame once it came in I was told I had to leave it. I was also told that I could not schedule an appointment to have it framed while I wait. Keep in mind this is custom framing which can get a bit pricey so I don't understand why the insurance wouldn't be higher or them make an appointment. Good thing is they don't require a deposit I guess, I cancelled the order. I very upset because I'm having a housewarming and wanted the piece hung before that but now I don't have time because I wasted time waiting on a frame that I was unable to receive. read more

Great Hobby Lobby location! It's very new and spacious and doesn't have that cluttered feeling that a number of older Hobby Lobby stores have. Even on a Saturday evening, the store was pretty quiet, and I felt comfortable shopping in our current COVID-19 world. I found this little new and clean gem in Smyrna (yeah!!!!). The store is clean and great finds. Was a little overwhelmed but the store is clean with great sales and finds. Everyone was helpful. I was looking for iron appliqué they had, but not the styles I was looking for a jacket. Their clearance section wasn't very big but there were some finds. Today I was in the Macon Store#565. As always it is an inviting store with lots to choose from however the associates need a little grooming with customer service. People, please check your receipts. When the total popped up, I was so surprised. I questioned some things and was told ....oh no that is not 50% off but the sign said it was. I went ahead and paid and moved over to the side and look at my receipt, I was charged double and then some for bunches of flowers I purchased. I bought 6 but was charged for twelve!!!! It was like an act of congress getting my refund. No longer am I excited about going to Hobby Lobby. This is not the first time either. I'm sick of it. I have let it slide in the past because I live over an hour away. Just because they play Christian music while you shop and being closed on Sunday does not make them the honest store, we think they are. I will not be going back unless I absolutely have to.
