I came to take advantage of their 25% off sale and they actually had a few things on clearance, but they were not putting the 25% on top of the sale prices. They also have a 10% off Teacher discount, but again, they're not putting that on top of the 25% off sale. Nonetheless. I found a few things that were worth getting for the markdown price, which was usually more than 25%. Everyone at the store was very helpful, very professional. I definitely like coming here when I need very specific storage items because they have everything. I will say they are on the pricier side so check Amazon and Target if you are on a budget because they may have the same thing or something similar for a cheaper price. I spent almost $10,000 on 4 closets that are incorrect and not installed and no one has contacted me to get this situation rectified. I worked with Alyssa Gerald on 3 reach-in closets and my primary walk-in closet. She incorrectly took the measurements. I self-installed the 3 reach-in closets and wondered by the materials didn't fit perfectly but I made them work. On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the contractor came to install my primary walk-in closet and let me know that the measurements were incorrect and that he couldn't continue the installation. I called the installation service, the Store, and Alyssa and was told that the store manager would address my concern--I still haven't received a call, email, or text. Alyssa called me to tell me that her "tool didn't calibrate the measurements correctly" and they'll redesign the closet free of charge. I asked for more of a discount because my other 3 closets were also incorrect and I had planned to have my closets completed by thanksgiving and this is an inconvenience that no one is treating as urgent when I've spent almost $10k. She said her manager would get in contact with me directly--I still haven't been contacted. If I'm not contacted by Monday, I'll be looking into taking legal action because I've spent too much money to be ignored and to have the agreement I signed breached by TCS. read more

After several months finally got everything done the way I wanted and paid for. My advice no matter what ya get have them come out to house and do measurements. Our initial design was complete it was done in a different brand than what we were looking at but were told didn't matter as it's design same. After some tweaking finally got it to what we thought we were getting. After paying and installer came, nothing matched up. Back wall they didn't account for outlet which I told them (had measurements of it from floor to outlet and picture). There were wire basket with wood face which we were told in the initial design they were full wood as we have cats and our concern is that the hair get into basket and on clothes. We had another call to discuss redesign with a "Senior Designer" which all she kept saying is even with wire basket no bed hair would get in there as she has pets. It currently does allow pets hair in. She redesigned it and in design there were still issues with measurements after I asked again to have someone come out to measure. After escalating this to management I was paired with Emani, she came out measured. Heard every concern and tried her best to address it. Worked with my tight schedule to make sure she was there when I was. After she redesigned it and Clarence (installer who is amazing please request him) came out and fixed it. It was perfect. I have pictures before and after. The final product is what we asked for and measured for several times with pictures and diagrams and several conversations. Overall if you plan to spend this money no matter how much the in store designer say measurements are not needed (even if you measured three times and took pictures of everything) please request it. And request Emani as she will take care of you tremendously and Clarence to install as he is amazing. read more

I always enjoy going to the container store. So many options available for each room in your home. This location had what I needed in stock per the website but did not when I actually arrived. It's generally pretty accurate but not this particular day. Even when in the store it still reflected a certain amount available when it wasn't. I still ended up buying something. Kind of hard not to. Lol. We needed up with the same cashier as before. She was very personable and told us about the Netflix shows like Sneakerhead that highlights the containers used for sneakers. So yeah, I love LOVE the Container Store. I can't say that I always understand some of their bizarre inventory, who is buying a six pack of milk bottles?! Anyway, this one in Buckhead is great and has all the basics which I came for. My whole theory of organizing / cleaning is buy lots of transparent boxes for your closet and stuff all your junk in there. I guess the key is not just over-stuffing boxes randomly but categorizing stuff into distinct spaces like say, receipts or notebooks or external usb drives, where you keep all your uh.... family videos and important work stuff. ;) Oh yeah and a label maker. That way, I just walk into my closet and instantly find whatever I need, while my rooms remain clean and uncluttered. That's just me. In late 2012, The Container Store in Buckhead moved from its longtime spot near the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont to the old Borders space at Peachtree and Wieuca, across from Target and catty-corner from Phipps Plaza. This location is bigger and better. It's two stories and has more parking, which sometimes was hard to come by at the old location. The Container Store is perfect for anyone moving or reorganizing their home or office. If you're looking to maximize the amount of space in your room, closet, pantry, kitchen, bathroom, garage, or office, odds are you'll find a product here that will help you achieve it. Unlike a store such as IKEA, the quality of most products at The Container Store are superb. The better quality comes at an increased price, but the prices aren't unreasonable. I purchased an elfa brand custom drawer set for my closet at home for under $150. I love it. elfa is a Swedish company owned by The Container Store. In the U.S., you can only find elfa products at The Container Store. My drawer set consists of 4 runner drawers with a white melamine top. It's worked out perfectly for socks, underwear, shorts, and T-shirts. Some simple assembly was required. Not only have the drawers been useful, but the white top has unexpectedly functioned as additional temporary storage space for me. The quality of elfa materials is definitely one or two steps above what you'd typically find at a retailer like IKEA or Target. It's solid, well built, and durable. It looks and feels great too. The individual drawers slide in and out of the frames effortlessly, almost as if they're gliding on air. I did accidentally break one of the back-stop pins shortly after installing the drawers (I pushed one of the drawers back in too hard), so that was disappointing. Other than that, I've been pleased. The storage solutions offered are highly customizable. Case in point, for the elfa drawers, they have a planner which you can use to customize all aspects of the unit including color, height, width, materials, top, bottom, stops, and label holders. I mean. I guess. This was my first time here. I am the type of guy who thinks less of storage items or containers. I will stack papers in the corner and pile them up high. Eventually I will sort through them..like a year later. Went here about 10 minutes before closing time. My face showed the , "So what, your still open, what you gonna do about it?" We were looking for 1 particular item though. A dish drainer. Currently I have been using one for the last 3 years from Target. It was cheap white plastic, kinda small, that cost about $10. This new one is 3 times the size, and comes equipped with several add on's. I never even thought about replacing my dish drainer. Especially one that costs $80.00. I would have never paid that before, but upgrading your kitchen can make you do that. This dish drainer is awfully nice though. It really is top of the line, which it should be. It has a built in butcher block, and a wine glass holder. There is even a spinning drain underneath that allows water to run back into the sink from the drying dishes. There were several sales that I noticed while picking up the drainer. Mainly on office storage containers for documents, folders and such. It was an experience. I will have to come back and browse the entire store, remember, I only had 10 minutes. This location is next door to Pinkberry and CVS. It looks 2 story, but only the escalator is downstairs leading to the store upstairs. read more

"this gift wrapping separator might fit in my apartment" and "your spices cabinet sucks" begin to take over. My creative genius gets extremely overwhelmed in this store. Luckily the staff members are organizational ninjas (and really kind). I've yet to contain most of my belongings but as my Grandfather always said "everything has a place and everything in its place"....so yeah. The Container Store has moved down Peachtree to world's most horrible shopping intersection. There has to be at least 5 wrecks here every day. It has expanded and cleaned up a bit from the old store at the Piedmont Peachtree intersection, but at the end of the day a Container Store is just a store full of containers no matter where it is located. I'm trying to organize my life these days so obviously I assumed that I needed the Container Store to help me. I went in looking for a rack of sorts to hang on the back of a closet door to store wrapping materials in. I browsed through the isles of clever storage devices and wasn't seeing anything so I enlisted the help of an employee. He proceeded to try to convince me I needed an $80 closet installation and nothing else could make sense. Needless to say, I was not convinced that my wrapping paper and ribbons deserved an $80 home. I was disappointed that my new Container Store friend could not help me find a more creative containing solution. My wrapping paper explosion that occurred after the holidays is still sitting in a terrible pile in the corner of my room so that is probably why I'm feeling so hostile towards containing devices right now. read more

This place is a dream come true for many such as myself. Just for the record, there is nothing wrong with being a little OCD about having a well organized home. Clear the clutter = clear and calm the mind. So this review is about my Zen experience with my Elfa purchase. It was a great experience from the initial consultation to the actual purchase to the installation service. I went to the store to ask about the shelving and how to get started. I saw a sign that the free installation on the Elfa shelving was valid through the rest of the month and I only had a few days to take advantage of that. The salesperson assured me that as long as I started the consultation process now then she would honor the deal if I decided to make the purchase. A consultant, Susan, was highly recommended to me. She had previously worked at the store and was now an Elfa consultant. (Elfa brand shelving is a Swedish company and sold at the Container Store). I called her to schedule an appointment to look at my master closet and pantry. The consultation was $100 and she stayed a little over an hour at my place. Susan asked my questions about my best challenges and what I would like to see. Then she took measurements and got a plan with pricing info for me two days later. Though I initially had sticker shock, I made some tweaks and figured out what worked best for me. She walked me through everything on the phone and I expressed some hesitation only because I had a hard time figuring out what it would look like. Susan suggested that I go to the store and have a salesperson, Sharon, show me how certain shelving looks. Sharon was very nice and helpful. I appreciated this gesture from Susan and Sharon! At that time, I made a few last tweaks, purchased the shelving, and set up a date for the installation. Two weeks later, Alex arrived to install the shelving on Saturday morning. I was a little annoyed to pay a $80 delivery fee for materials. It should have been included as part of the installation which I was very pleased to get the free deal on that (which would have been $500+). The installation took 3.5 hours and Alex did a terrific job including the clean up. Susan arrived at the end of the installation to help me organize. She offers organization skills for $75/hr and I purchased two hours. Susan is quick, friendly, and very professional. There were a few small follow up items that Susan and Alex followed up on immediately and took care of the next weekend free of charge. Overall the Elfa shelving has an IKEA look but higher quality and thus, more expensive. I would only do this again during an Elfa sale....it is pricey and can add up quickly. My pantry and master closet look amazing. Definitely recommend Elfa shelving (when it goes on sale about 3 times a year). Alex and Susan were so great to work with. I will probably be calling Susan soon to help with more arranging services. read more

I have always loved the Container Store. They have great items for the house and I love to organize. Unfortunately, I had to return some bins I previously purchased because they didn't end up working. There were tons of people in the store and a long line to check out. The checkout clerk was friendly enough, but very condescending in that some leaf debris from plants I purchased before arriving to the Container Store ended up in one of the containers. She told me 4 separate times how I need to make sure that I clean items I return. I apologized several times and was embarrassed that I didn't even look in them before handing them off. She kept emphasizing how one was dirty and how an employee would now have to clean out the bin. I would have gladly taken it from her to wipe out the fern debris, but she made a big deal about it and how it was no problem at that point. This went from consumer education/making a mistake to beratement. read more

DO NOT USE FOR ELFA CLOSET! I had used the container store years ago to install extra shelves in my closet so I went to them with a design this past March to install my new closet. I drew a very specific design with exact measurements on each wall(three walls: 3'x12'x3')The installer came to my house and installed only one wall so what was supposed to be on wall 1&3 was all on wall 2. I lost 6 feet of closet space and I told him it was all wrong and he argued with me that I hadn't lost any closet space! And said he had another appointment and it would take weeks for then to come fix this. I didn't have weeks because I was moving in the next day. I had to get rid of 1/3 of my clothes because of their mistake and I called the store the following week and they were unwilling to come to a compromise about giving me my money back. So I spoke to my credit card company about this and the manager Sharon Kintzler who has no idea what customer service is and was also unwilling to come to a compromise with me about refunding my money for not providing me with the closet that I paid for. She had a very bad attitude and was very rude. I don't understand how she is a manager. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR CLOSET DESIGN. read more

This was my first visit to the Container Store post relocation. I must say, there are more parking space, but still in a high traffic area. Even though it's two story, the bottom floor only has esclators and elevators. The layout appealing and a neat freak's paradise (clearly). My favorite part of the container store is the bedroom/closet organization. The displays leave me fawning. I like ordering online from Container Store and picking it up in person. You can opt to receive a text or email of when your purchase is ready. Call in when you arrive and they'll bring the items to you. Curbside service is great for bulky purchases. I got great, friendly, timely service when I came, albeit, it was on a weekday. There's also a kiosk right in front of you once you enter the store upstairs with clerks to assist you. I love the Container Store. And, I cut my CS teeth at the Buckhead store in ATL. However, they've moved. We were there to buy Elfa during the annual sale. I expected to wait for a design associate. However, we waited not because there were others in front of us but because no design associates were in the department...WITH A SALE ON!!! When we were finally waited on the experience was great and we did a wonderful closet design. However, I'm not sure my partner would go through it again. We spent $2000 on a custom closet and decided to install it ourselves. The installation was fairly easy. The store forgetting to include items we purchased and were essential to installation were the hard part. We had to go back to the store three times before we finally were provided everything for which we paid. Store associates didn't even apologize. One even made it seem I was stupid for thinking I was missing a piece. Another piece they originally gave us appeared to be a broken one someone had already returned. Well I love the store and the products but when I was there the staff was not very knowledgeable when I asked if they had a certain kitchen item they just told me to go look in the back isle and no one directed me or helped me thereafter which was frustrating because I left without what I was looking for- still not knowing if they had it but I did not want to keep digging around.
