Convenient and helpful…read more For a while now I have been buying most of my paint at large home improvement stores. I recently moved to Acworth and had noticed this Sherwin-Williams store off Hwy 41. I like that it is close to my house. It is a stand alone shop with it's own parking lot. Quick and easy to get in to and out of. The staff has always been pleasant and my visits have been quick, even when having custom colors matched & mixed.

Found items in line and they were on sale. Pointed out the items were on sale. I walked back to the rear of the building and removed the sales tag. Also pulled up the price using their Ace Smart phone app. Lower price was on the tag and the app. I was told that I should not remove the shelf tag. The clerk had to call over a manager to override the price. Yes I was able to get it at the sales price. Neither the manager nor the clerk apologized for the inconvenience and hassle. I was not thanked for my business and see no reason to visit this store again. I have made purchases at Ace in Cartersville and never had a problem. This Ace has Unhelpful folks!

I went in the other day to get a product. There was an older white male that was eager to help me…read more For whatever reason, he would not allow me to touch the product. He showed me where it was and wanted to hurry back to the front with it in his hand without letting me even look at it. I stopped him saying I needed to compare the product to what I had to make sure it was the right one. There were multiple options and no differentiating description on the front. You also couldn't see it fully without opening it up so I was trying to make sure I had the right one. I did not want to come back or have to go somewhere to replace it. He kept rushing me and when I went to take the product to look at it, he held onto it until I had to pull it out of his hand. He literally pressed his fingers together gripping it. It was very clear he did not want me touching any of the product in the store. I guess he thought I was going to grab it, stuff it down my leggings, rush past him and out the store. It was $7. I had no purse and had my wallet and keys were in my hand so I have no idea where his imagination was going. After I looked at, I was decided to try it so turned to talk to the front check out and he grabbed it out of my hands to walk it to the front. I typically shop here because the Lowes is far but I'll take my business elsewhere. I wouldn't want to frighten the old white men with my presence. Fox News must have told him every POC wants what they have and will steal it right in front of them in broad daylight. In reality, I would rather not speak or deal with you either.

I happened to be up in Kennesaw visiting a botanical garden and was in search of alfalfa meal for my roses. HD and Lowe's do NOT typically carry this. There's always Amazon, but since this Tractor Supply was near by, I made a quick stop and found Dr. Earth's organic fertilizer for my roses :). I had made a trip there two days prior and was introduced to there unique paint color matching system where you can bring any paint color from a different company into them, and they'll be able to match it! The three walls I was able to complete over the weekend turned out great! The employee who helped my wife and I was helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. Today's experience was a complete 180. I had the pleasure of working with Jimmy. It was very clear Jimmy was having a bad day. I can't blame him... who really does like Mondays. Jimmy was showing his frustration left and right when told by employees he gave customers the wrong paint color. Jimmy kept shouting he hadn't don't anything wrong and said they can deal with it since Clover green is close enough to what they asked for. Jimmy was also short with me when I tried to use my friends and family discount coupon for 25% off. He was struggling to figure out how to register the coupon in the computer so needed to call for assistance. When he finally was able to figure out how to do it, he said "well boy get your phone out". After I swiped my card to complete the transaction, the receipt as shown does not say a discount was applied. I asked whether it was and was abruptly told "well yeah it's a $50 bucket of paint". Jimmy may have been having a rough day; however, emotions aside a customer should never be treated that way.

I was greeted upon entry and I told the clerk what I needed. He explained my options for exterior paint and calculated how much paint I would need. PPG sells to contractors and non-contractors alike. I purchased 5 gallons or exterior paint, 1 gallon of primer for the section of replacement wood and a few samples of interior paint. Prior to this home project I purchased paint from Home Depot or Lowe's. Since I've "discovered" PPG, Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore, I will not be going back to HD or Lowe's for paint. The overall customer experience is better at the professional paint stores and the price is comparable or cheaper (with your painter's contractor discount) and the product is superior.
