I've shopped at this store for over 15 years. However, I will never again. The service has dropped through the floor. The assistant manager, Stu, has been there as long as I've shopped there. In the past, he was very helpful. However, now it is clear that "corporate" (as he refers to them as) doesn't allow him or anyone in the store to resolve customer issues. Stu, simply told me to call corporate because the store can no longer resolves issues; even things they has resolved in the past. Don't even waste you time trying to redeem "reward" certificates... How unfortunate and I'll shop elsewhere. read more

I like to go to the one in Bellevue - Great selections of everything - and vendors are super knowledgeable.

Besides being overpriced, which kind of comes with the territory when owning a boat, the store is seriously lacking some inventory. I don't know if it's because its the end of the summer or Covid, but there's just not a lot here. As one of the few places that has a broad range of boat supplies on the east side, I count on the store to have what I need, when I need it. Sadly, it is not as well-stocked as other West Marines. I went here to purchase Mildew Stain Remover for my boat. I could only find the "West Marine". brand and it was $19.00! I thought this seemed ridiculously expensive so when I got home I looked on line. The mildew stain removers ranged from $3.00 to $12.00. Many of the very cheap ones had excellent review scores. Every time I go into West Marine, I feel like every thing there is twice as expensive as anywhere else. read more

Came in to buy a 3-pack of flares. They only had 4 packs for $30+. When I finally decided to grab one and go with it, there was no one at the register ready to check me out. Another customer had been waiting at the same register for obviously a while and seemed pretty impatient. There was a store clerk working with someone else in the middle of the store who could clearly see a line forming, but didn't do anything to help us out. Finally a manager came by and checked us out as soon as the line was about 4 customers deep. read more

My expectations were very low walking into this store from all the negative reviews that I read. I ordered a part on westmarine.com and scheduled store pickup. They are by no means Costco, but I'm taking the time to leave a positive review for this store because this is a nice store with helpful staff. Service: The assistant manager greeted me right when I walked in and was very nice and informative. My online order turned out to be much larger than expected. He was more than happy to work with me on pickup and even return anything I no longer needed. He also helped me with recommendations after finding out my needs and goals. Store: I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the store and saw a clean and organized store. Most retail stores are a mess, especially sporting goods and outdoor stores. Loved the polished concrete floor as well. Inventory: The store is much bigger than I expected and surprisingly has a lot of inventory. They have even more online, but was more than happy with what was there. I actually found that it was cheaper to buy many items at westmarine.com than it is at Amazon once shipping is factored. Sure some electronics may be cheaper online, but most specialty items were much cheaper at West Marine. Location: Very convenient location east of 405 with plenty of parking. read more

Came here for some rope and fixtures, and interacted with frighteningly biased and racist staff, who shared way too much of their own viewpoints with me on unrelated topics. West Marine's amazing customer service compensated for supply chain issues and weather delays. Prices are high, but not overpriced. A bolt made from 316 stainless steel may seem expensive, ...but worth it. Parts are often specific and produced in much lower quantities than car parts. read more

I am very disappointed with this West Marine location. I recently purchased a Gripper Cleat - 4" Chrome in-store. I was charged $6.99 + tax for the 1/2" line version, as the item was marked on the shelf. I actually needed the 3/8" version, so I returned the item. I then walked back to the shelf and grabbed the 3/8" version I needed. At the register, the manager tried to charge me $26.00 for the same, only smaller line version of the $7.49 total item I just returned 10 mins prior. I explained this to him. He just looked at the computer and told me "it shows $26.99". I was amazed that he would not honor the price that his staff clearly mismarked on the previous purchase. Instead he looked at me as though I had done something wrong. I will do my best to never walk into this location again. There are plenty of other, online, vendors to buy my boating needs from. I would advise others to do the same. read more

These guys are unethical and very shady. I called to confirm that an item was in stock (it was a large and expensive item) and the guy said yes we have it, I'm looking at one right now! So I placed the order (through him). At the end of the transaction I asked if I could use a coupon code that I found online, which he didn't seem happy about, but he took it and it knocked off $161 (10%). The order goes through, I get a confirmation and everything seems legit, whew! 2 days later, I get an email saying the item is currently 'out of stock'. So much for looking right at it huh? read more

First time in, little apprehensive due to the negative reviews. Was greeted right away, and when we had questions about the PFDs the salesman (Paul) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the brands they carried. We were left to our own devices when needed, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. read more

Order cancellation is a laborious process with West Marine and in spite of three cancellation request (1 by e-mail, 2 through their website, 2 phone calls) not a single positive response was ever received. Talking to their customer service representatives over the phone does not even made an inch of progress. NOT a single one of them can tell me that my order will be cancelled. Their excuse range from, "our computer will not allow us to do it, we are not logistics and only logistics can cancel your order, once an order is placed it is hard to cancel, if your order gets cancelled you will get notified by an e-mail and so on". The attitude is lacakadaisical at best. Worst ever online and customer service experience in years of shopping since the advent of online shopping. Stay away or be sorry. read more

The staff at the Bellevue West Marine have always been really helpful, and willing to haggle on prices for big-ticket items like outboard motors, tenders, etc. I've saved a lot of money there vs. online and other local retailers. Troy is very knowledgeable about outboard motors in particular. He spent half an hour explaining how to winterize my outboard, saving me lots of money. I've been a regular customer of theirs for the past 4 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Overpriced products, terrible inventory management -- things often out of stock, inflexible return policy -- no refund or credit without a receipt, understaffed -- prepare to wait in line to pay or for help. as we were shopping for boating supplies we had a sales person who seemed a bit conceded with himself and then he starts hitting on my wife right in front of me and he kept doing so in ways he thought i did not see. and my wife tells me that he was being strange and hitting on her she found him discusting. and he was married also. he did not seem to know much about sealants another customer had to help us. read more

Here a good one. West Marine advertise that they match prices on a like items yet when you bring them a identical item just not a west marine brand they will not match. Never use west marine unless your desperate for something quick. 30% to 50% higher prices than most competitors. read more

I got great help and advice from the guys who helped me both with gel-coat repairs(twice-2 different guys), and with return and purchase of a new chartplotter/chip. Very patient with my many questions about NMEA2000 and my boat. Very helpful with explanations. I got a better understanding of "N2K" and how I can plan for the future.
