Always enjoy coming to West Jax! Even though I'm not a smoker, I enjoy the laid back, mature atmosphere of a cigar lounge and this one does not disappoint. Love that it's black owned, also! On the latest visit, I stopped in around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Sat at the bar; vibes were chill and the music and drinks were great! Service was good also. The crowd started to pick up around 10pm. They have a patio area out back which is also a nice to place to sit and unwind. They don't sell any food items but on this particular night, a food vendor out back offered fried catfish plates which was a hit.

We went to three bars in Fort Worth this evening and this was by far the most enjoyable. This place is classy, low-commotion, with an easy going vibe and good drinks. Cigars seemed to be kept at the perfect humidity. Music was a tasteful R&b and light Rap. It was maintained at the right level of loudness to allow for good conversations in a cozy comfortable living-room type setting. The place was well ventilated with lots of fresh air being pumped in and filtered, however, with this many people smoking cigars its would be considered smoky. We met one of the owners Jay. He was a super nice guy. Our server Brittany was kind and attentive, and she did an exceptional job serving and presenting the smoked old fashioned .

Dropped in on a Saturday afternoon. So glad we did! Such a laid back vibe. Nice music playing in the background. Amazing service. Wet outside so we couldn't sit on the patio. But it's also a vibe. Ordered the Tiramisu Cocktail. Highly recommend! My husband had a cigar and sangria. He enjoyed both. We agreed we would put this spot into rotation on our kid free days/nights.

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening out at West Jax. This Black-owned establishment was great for relaxing with friends and having grown folks time. They have a well-stocked bar and a small but nice cigar selection. I appreciate that they offer brands produced by Black cigar makers. The owner was present when I was there. He is a young entrepreneur trying to do great things.

Bougie Water (Add strawberry and coconut cream 10/10)

Celebrated my friend's birthday and really enjoyed the experience. *BONUS POINTS* I ordered the "Bougie Water" mocktail (yes mocktail) with strawberry and coconut cream. 10/10 the best mocktail I've had in 2024. The best way I can describe it is baby shower punch. Think sherbet and ginger ale. BOOM! Customer service for great as well! Only 4 stars because I think the space can be a little larger, but that'll come with growth. I'll be back for sure.

I had such an amazing time at West Jax! They had awesome music, cigars, signature drinks, and food vendors on their patio. The bartender/cigar tender walked me through some of the differences of cigar selection they had. I'm not a cigar smoker at all and she made it pretty easy to understand the differences! It was pretty calm when I came in but as the night went on it got more packed and that made it a lot more fun so don't be scared to go alone if you ever have free time! There will always be someone to talk to! Food/vendors on the patio changes through out the week! Drinks specials change through out the week as well! They mentioned a karaoke night on Thursday or Friday so I'm most definitely going to come back for that!

This is a spot that isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. It'a a bar that has a small selection of cigars, some local, which is a great addition to the selection. The atmosphere is definitely of a cigars style shop with leather upholstered furniture, dark walls, and the smell of some good cigars burning. The cigars in the case are clean, appear well maintained and not neglected which is all to common in bars that sale cigars. The cigars are usually either dry from lack of care or molded and cracking from over-humidifying, I did not see that here. The inside of the bar is a bit dank and very narrow. The patrons were already full of spirits at 5 pm, they open at 4 pm, so they've evidently been hitting it hard and they were singing loudly. It was entertaining. Now, two sources of contention: 1. Parking, it's non existent. All of the lots in the area are posted with towing signs from the respective business that the parking lot is in front of. There isn't any street parking. I drove around for 15 minutes trying to assess the area to find out that I had to park at my own risk. 2. No matter what you buy, there is an automatic 15% "service charge" attached to the bill. It say says gratuity on the receipt, tho the bartender explained it as a service charge. Not quite understanding that logic. It's an interesting place, tho with the parking, odd location, and auto gratuity it won't be a frequents stop. Tho I give it high reviews for the atmosphere, cool building vibe, decent prices on cigars that are well kept, and a very friendly bartender.

We came in here on valentine's Day for a cocktail and my hubby wanted a cigar after an earlier dinner. We were the only ones in there around 7pm on a weeknight but the place has a cool vibe. Our cocktails were really good and the server was nice, my husband said the cigar selection was ok. I would come back to this spot to hang out and chill.

Relaxed vibe. The atmosphere is incredible for fellowship. Try the house specials and pairings and be sure to let the staff know they did incredible. Sports on every screen, great decor. The selections are vast and appealing. It's worth the drive from North Dallas. Funny town Ft. Worth you have a winner.

I found out about this spot from a DFW women's group. Saying "Hey ladies...all the men are over here!" So I thought let me go find out! The lounge is in Fort Worth and is nice. They have parking in the back and you can access the large patio or come inside to smoke. We ventured over on a Sunday and it was laid back. I loved the aesthetic and layout. It's not BYOB but they have a comparable bar for cocktails. If more beer people showed up I could see them expanding their palette to more Craft Beer options. We purchased a couple of cigars and some delicious drinks and asked about the nightly entertainment. They have a bevy of things to do and the age group is mature. That's a plus. They have something for everyone daily. I can't wait to go back. They'll be open Thanksgiving night so I might just grab a book and chill. Check it out.

This place makes you feel at home the minute you walk in! Staff is great and so are the drinks!!

The entire establishment just feels smooth; the ambience is lax and comfortable. They have entertainment (tvs and tunes) and endless popcorn. Staff will help you on choosing a good smoke but the other patrons won't hesitate to see about you either, which I love as someone not familiar with cigars.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.

Highlights: Super fun speakeasy-style entrance Small interior, but the seating is arranged really well for different group sizes and feels surprisingly comfortable I don't recall them offering food during my visit, but the bartenders were friendly and were able to make a great mocktail Surrounded by different eateries, so it's easy to grab food nearby before or after drinks Easy parking, which is always a plus (street or parking garage nearby)
