So far I am extremely happy with my experience at Dave Smith Ford. I wandered into the first dealer…read moreI saw pretty much on a whim. I have been avoiding getting a new car for months now because, to be frank, I didn't want to deal with car sales people. But Nick was SUPER helpful, honest, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Kyle did the financing end of things and was very patient with me. He got me an amazing deal. Overall, the staff wasn't judgemental, gimmicky or pushy. I felt listened to and respected, which is huge for me. Plus, I ended up walking away with my dream car AND it was in my budget! Couldn't believe I was able to make that work as I was expecting just to get a cheap daily rider that would tie me over until I could afford something nicer. Go see Nick & Kyle now!

I had the worst experience at a dealership possible to occur. Mark put a deposit down on a vehicle…read moreto hold it because he thought I would like it. I test drove it and asked to have it overnight. Took it home, the next day the salesman and GM Dan told me I only had one hour to decide in which wasn't enough time for me. The GM was very rude. The next week they drop the price for auction because guess what? In that one hour I had a week had passed and no one looked at it. I text to see if it's available. Go in to buy it. Sign everything to take it home. There's a lean and no title. Dealership claims they did not know yet again a week prior I had one hour to decide. Vehicle had one small dent in which they said will be fixed, only has one key I am told I will get another. Over a week goes by before the titles in. Get the car it's been there dents still there, no key. Drive the SUV home only. Next day only to two stores. Brakes start squealing. Mechanic looks at it. I call next day. Oh bring it in. List of things wrong sent over including brakes, rotors calipers. Another week goes by they still have the truck. Go pick it up. It's making the same noise. GM gets in no noise of course. I drive home hear it turn around. Drive the salesman so much noise you can't believe he states "oh drive it 100 miles it should go away". Now I am getting upset I ask for the GM oh he's in a meeting. The tech comes for a ride hears it. Within the drive states all of this "oh we cleaned the pads, that noise will go away I promise, must be cheap brakes whoever put on it prior, yeah it's the brakes, GETS out of the vehicle says if it's still happening in a few weeks bring it back and tell them it's the pads and rotors but don't say I said so". I ask to talk to the GM manager dick head Dan. Explain what the tech said, that I am getting mad and it should be fixed. Dan comes back and says the tech said he didn't say that. In which I get mad and ask why I would lie. I said you are a dealership you should be fixing it not saying drive around with the noise. GM gets mad at myself and my significant other for expressing concerns about working in costumer service and they should be fixing it. Our experience was the worst we have had and trust me we own vehicles- he was told this. Dan gets pissed off states "I am not doing anything for you, I am done here. We are done". Gets up and walks away as I am still speaking. If this is the type of dealership you want to deal with be my guest. Hours wasted, treated and talked to like scum and sold a car they refuse to fix even when their tech stated all of the above. A manager who just says we're done and walks away, now that is the great representation of how you will be treated at DaveSmith Transit Road.

HORRIBLE experience with their service department. I will never be going back here…read more I called on a Friday to order snow tires (Continental VikingContact8) for my husband's Honda Pilot. I was told they could get me in as early as Monday for the installation. I scheduled the appointment for Wednesday just to be safe. Wednesday comes, I drop off the car. At this time, I asked that they please let know if the car is due for any other services (e.g. oil change) and to please be sure not to pitch the summer tires. As soon as I get home, they call me to say that the tires never came in. Unbelievable! No one bothered to check prior to my appointment? Or at the very least when I came to drop off? Instead of rescheduling, they offer to give me different, pricier tires but honor the price of the ones I had picked out. When I asked for details about the new tires I would be receiving, the sales associate just kept saying "Blizzak" over and over again. She never mentioned that they were Bridgestone tires or that the specific version I'd be receiving would be the DM-V2, despite my countless requests for more details. Regardless, I agreed to accept the last minute request to go with different tires. Hours go by... they call me again asking if they can keep the car overnight because now THESE tires still haven't come in yet. So the tires I picked out never came in and then they offered me tires that they also didn't have in?! To make up for the inconvenience, they offered me a free oil change. The sales associated asks, "Are you due for an oil change?" to which I replied "You tell me!!!" My husband had had all of his previous car maintenance done here, which is why I had already asked that they let me know if he needed an oil change, but they clearly didn't check or listen. Finally, the next day rolls around and it's noon and I still haven't heard from them. When I call, I get a voicemail, so I leave a message. They call me back a few minutes later and say "your car is ready!!" No acknowledgment that it took ME calling THEM to find out the car was done. Who knows how long I would've been left waiting if I hadn't called to check in. Finally, the nail in the coffin, was when I went to pick up the car. I paid, checked out, got in the car to leave when I noticed... the summer tires were nowhere to be found. They told me they'd bag them and throw them in the trunk, but the trunk was empty. Fifteen minutes later they found them and loaded them in, but I easily could've made it all the way home before I noticed had I not been vigilant to check their work. Also I love how, as I was waiting for them to load my tires into the car, the sales associate tried to make it better by gushing about what a great deal I got on the Blizzak tires... according to the receipt it was a total savings of $31. Not even close to compensating for my troubles. This place is chaotic and unprofessional. My advice -- take your business elsewhere.

Bought a new van in April. At times the engine does not restart after pausing while being stopped…read more I brought the van into service and they couldn't find the problem. There is an investigation by the NTSB for this exact problem. Not the problem you want to have on a brand new van. When I dropped it off I was told that I wouldn't be charged unless it was damage caused by a rodent and Honda would cover the rental car. That was a lie. I was charged $600 for them to not figure out the problem. Luckily we talked them down to $200 for being no help whatsoever. Be careful who you talk to and voice record all conversations.

Who were wonderful and have either moved up in Northtown Lexus or moved on. However if we didn't purchase a Lexus it has to be serviced at the Northtown that sold that model car in my case Volvo. When the engine maintenance light came on I made an appointment to have it serviced. It needed a pipe replaced they said and when I picked it up after a month in their shop to take it for a second opinion, it now didn't matter if I put the pipe in or not because ultimately the car was never going to pass inspection. Why will it not pass inspection anymore? Because they downloaded a new computer program that has caused it to continually ask for every conceivable thing possible and no matter how many things you do it still asks for something else. In dealing with them either in person or on the phone I have never in any interaction with any business in my life , been so lied to demeaned, patronized or condescended to as I was by Northtown Volvo. And they truly don't care . Would I ever recommend Northtown Volvo Porche Land Rover ? NO

I wish I could fully articulate how awful this dealer is. It has taken almost two months to get our…read moreS60 repaired. After a minor accident, we needed an airbag module replaced. The dealer said they'd call us with updates. A week in to them having the car, we did not hear back. We called and they said they were waiting on a seatbelt part. Apparently there was a recall and they did not inform us that they would be doing this work, or that they were waiting on a part. Mind you we need the vehicle to get to work. There was no communication about this. We ended up taking the vehicle back because they had no idea when the part would be in. Sure would have been nice if they would have told us this. We called to pick up the car and they said they wouldn't release it because of the security concern, which is understood. Northtown said they would release the vehicle if our collision shop agreed, which he did. We asked Northtown to call the collision shop, to which they responded "We can't call them". So we call our collision guy and he calls them (now remember every time you call Northtown you have to wait on hold and go through a switchboard to talk to someone, so you need to repeat your situation and name every single time) and releases the vehicle. As we were leaving to get the car, Northtown calls back and says "What is the name of the collision shop? We need to call them." Obviously I was confused because they had just said 5 minutes ago that they "couldn't" call them. We get the car and have it for several weeks. Nothing from Northtown. We call back again for a status and they say "Oh, perfect timing! The part just came in today!", which is obviously BS. We set up an appointment for when we are on vacation to have it repaired. The dealer has it for 5 days, and we call on our way home from vaca to pick it up. Surprise surprise, vehicle is not ready. This time, they're waiting on a door handle! Apparently another recall that they failed to check the first time. So here we are waiting on parts AGAIN because of their incompetence. The work ends up getting done the next day and we go to pick up the car (this was the first time they called us during the whole process). Guess what? The dashboard is still lit up like an xmas tree. We wait again for over an hour while they attempt to fix it. They couldn't get it, and were closing soon so we had to leave without the car again. They made NO effort to accommodate in any way. No rental, no loaner, no "sorry" until the very last interaction, no phone calls, no nothing. It's ironic that they are called the "Service Department" because you will not get any service here at all. The service manager is apathetic, the employees lack basic customer service skills, and in talking to other employees there- the workplace is toxic. -Systemic customer service issues -Inept service techs -NO communication -NO accommodations -Service manager (John) is clueless DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. DO NOT EVEN GET YOUR OIL CHANGED HERE BECAUSE THEY WILL MESS IT UP, NOT CALL YOU AND SIMULTANEOUSLY NOT GIVE A #$%. If you want a Volvo, I recommend Best Volvo in Rochester. Much more efficient.
